Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

Understanding the essence of a sign, is as easy as understanding the sign that came before it. No one sign is better than the other, it's all just different degrees of the same thing. The Zodiac circle is a picture of reincarnation, and returning to earth after advancing on the wheel, and starting all over again. Starting with

1. Aries. "Number 1" is fitting for this sign, as it is mostly looking out for Number 1. It's concerned with Self, and its body, and what it takes to survive. With Aries, it's me, me, me against the world.
---->>>evolves into

2. Taurus. Tired of being alone, and self-absorbed Aries seeks to be absorbed in another body. It needs to explore its senses more, sensually thru someone else. She's not the "god of war", she's the goddess of love, tired of fighting everyone. So she's patiently waiting for Mr.Right, wants to settle down, needs firm ground to be on, and is determined to find someone to share their piece of the earth with.
------->evolves into

3. Gemini. Tired of being stuck in one place! Needs to move around! These are the kids that Aries and Taurus had while making love in front of the fireplace for years and years, and the kids want to run around and play! Meet other kids! Talk, chat, play jokes. Gemini's about fun and freedom, bc commitment is so boring! And adults are boring too, let's go find some other kids to play with! They need to learn more about this big new world they're in, their curiosity is insatiable. So, like Mercury, with wings on their feet, they run around the neighborhood, with tons of interesting bits of info to pass on to everybody.
------->evolves into

4. Cancer..Tired of running around the neighborhood, it's back to HOME, SWEET HOME! The kids are hungry! So they come back to mommy. And mommy wants nothing more to feed their little tummies. She's been home nursing the youngest baby, who is breastfeeding, and preparing food for Daddy who's out all day, so they can all sit together at night, when the Moon rules, and eat some nurturing food. The kids are tired of small talk with everybody, and can appreciate the deeper, emotional connection with the Matriarch who nursed them when they were helpless little babies. And sure enough, mommy may have another little "bun in the oven", hidden in her womb, who's also eating with the family, connected to mommy's belly thru an umbilical cord. That connection to Mom goes pretty deep!
evolves into----->

5. Leo..Tired of being home, in bed, under the covers all night! Now the Sun's out, time to go out and play! Leo needs to be seen, not just by its little family. It wants to strut its stuff, show off its new outfit, show the world how fabulous it is. After a good home cooked meal, a good night's rest, and a night full of wonderful dreams, the lion is strong, and ready to conquer the world! Totally fearless, he dominates whatever room he walks into. Nothing but positive energy, that people can't help but be attracted to and follow. And like the Sun has all the planets in its grip,revolving around him, people can't seem to take their eyes off this Leo!
evolves into----->

6. Virgo..Tired of being the center of attention! Leo has learned, it's not perfect! He Can work on a few things like um, being humble? Maybe not thinking the whole universe revolves around them, and work more to help others who aren't as fortunate? Also, after enduring quite a bit of criticism being center stage, it learned to be a bit critical itself, both of self and others. May be a bit picky about what it eats, and obsessed with cleanliness and health, bc after shaking so many hands and kissing so many babies, that strong lion doesn't want germs bringing him down! That means you can't work and help people (and be seen, by a select few). Virgo is Leo with a bruised ego, so it settles down to work on its flaws, and knows pain, so can heal others. They have learned that true Leadership is Service, so they are busy doing just that. Life is not all about fun, you have to work!
evolves into----->

7. Libra..Tired of being subservient all day! Realizes we're all equals and demands equality in a relationship. And after working hard all day, can't forget your hunny bunny has needs too! So now, not just interested in serving others, but serving its significant other as well, but it's all give and take! There has to be reciprocity, harmony, diplomacy, and balance in the relationship. Also, tired of criticizing and trying to fix people! Libra wants to love you just the way you are. Or at the very least, be tactful and gentle in talking about where both of you need work. This is the sign of the scales, justice, where everything needs to be just right, ethically, and aesthetically...the goddess of love is not just about physical satisfaction, there has to be mental satisfaction as well. Doesn't want to fight, but will fight for peace..
evolves into---->

8. Scorpio..Tired of playing nice! Now sees through all the fake little social niceties, and facades that people put up, hiding their true intentions and ulterior motives. Smiling in your face, and knowing they're talking behind your back! Scorpio remembers its Arian roots, and knows that at any moment, the god of war will come and upset the scales of peace, so you better be prepared for him! Better yet, take pre-emptive action and spy on him, see what he's up to! "Find his weaknesses, and exploit them. And by the way, Ms.Lover Venus, super-nice Libra, I bet you've been sleeping with Mars haven't you? Don't lie to me! I'm going to get to the bottom of this, you'll see! I'm going to pay to have someone watch your every move, and make SURE you're not cheating on me! And if I catch you, I'm divorcing you, and you're not getting a dime! I bet you're just with me bc of all the money I've been saving up since I was an Arian myself! I learnedfrom day 1 to look out for number 1!" (2weeks later) "Ok...so I found out you weren't cheating, Im so sorry I overreacted honey, but it's ok, cuz tonight,I'm gonna make love to you with more passion than I ever did before, now that I know you're all mine! I love you, and this will last forever. (But if I do catch you cheating on me I'll kill you~!) But that will never happen, cuz you'd never cheat on me...Right?"
evolves into--------->

9. Sagittarius. Tired of all the dark emotional drama! Been to hell and back with that one person, time to play the field again! Or maybe go on a long trip together with the mrs. to get our mind off things. It's a big world out there! And Christmas is coming up, had a successful year, life is good! And can only get better! Gonna get all the kids the biggest gifts possible! Maybe treat myself too! Go on vacation, always wanted to visit someplace foreign and exotic! And after meeting the devil, and listening to him whisper negative destructive things in my ear, I'm going to the other side. There must be a God! And thank God I'm still here. I would really like to meet Him face to face, I know he's somewhere out there, and I'm gonna find Him!
evolves into------>

10. Capricorn..Tired of being so Positive! I'm getting old, this trip's not gonna last forever. And I'm sure God is out there, but can't waste any more time trying to find Him. I'm sure I'll meet HIm for sure when I'm dead and gone, but for now, I have to deal with reality. Alot of legal stuff, have to write my will, I'm retired, so have to deal with Social Security checks, budgeting..sigh. The wife's got health problems, so do I. Been with her forever it seems, and when they bury me, she'll probably be buried right by my side to talk my ear off for eternity, with my luck. Bah, humbug.. Listen to me, the old grinch that stole Christmas! Ha. Good to keep a sense of humour to get through this miserable little world. Hey, what is that infernal racket? Hey, tell those kids to keep it down, it's past their bedtime! Geez, if someone didnt' lay the law around here, this world would be one big bloody mess! Hey, Listen kids, listen to your Daddy when he says dont do drugs, don't drink and drive, and obey the laws, because they're there for your protection. And you may escape the eyes of the law every now and then, but at the end of the day, Karma will know whether you've been naughty or nice! Now behave yourselves, or else you get no Christmas presents from Santa! (By the way kids, he doesn't exist, sorry to burst your bubble, but get real. Now go do your homework, and when you're done, take out the garbage.)
evolves into------>

11. Aquarius...Tired of being so Bossy and Pessimistic! It's a free country! Rules were made to be broken. Life's too short be so miserable! Yes, I'm leaving the world behind, but I had a great past, and I see a great future! Now it's all about getting them to see what I've seen, how humanity as a whole can advance. What kind of technology is needed. And people may think I'm weird, but I maybe, just maybe might tell them about the visits I've had from E.T's, and that one trip I took on a UFO where they showed me my whole life and future on big plasma screens. I bet they'd think I was crazy, til I showed them I took one of their remotes! So, I'll leave it where they can find it, and hopefully they can study it, and find out how to make flatscreens of their own, how to talk to people on the other side of the world, and see them without leaving their couch. I'll draw pictures of what I saw that they can use as blueprints. They may call me crazy now, but this will all be commonplace in the future. They say I'm eccentric, but who cares what they think? Pshh! Mere Mortals! I will leave behind my theses and mathematical formulas on how to reform society's ills, and maybe one day they'll get it, and realize I was a genius from the future!
evolves into----->

12. Pisces...Tired of being so emotionally detached from the world! There's no difference, really between me and anybody on earth or any living thing in the universe! So now I have compassion for all living things, since we all come from the same substance, water! It sure was lonely on top, trying to make rules for everybody and save the world, I really thought I was different. But with a few drinks, you realize we're all one! The world Im leaving behind looks so good with these rose-colored spectacles. Oh boy, getting a lil teary eyed. Kind of emotional thinking about all the places I've been to, loved ones I've lost. I really want to forget it all, and sleep forever.....But.. there were some great times! Gotta take the good with the bad, I guess. It's all about perspective, really. Hence, my rose-colored spectacles, which I love, because it makes everything look rosey! Deep down, I feel depressed, but it's all in the mind. If I put a smile on my face, others will smile too, and we can all forget about our sorrows. What do you say, guys! A toast to life! Bottom's up! Ooh, karaoke, lemme go up on stage and fulfill my dreams of being a rockstar for one night, why not? And hey, while I'm up here, I'll just recite this little poem I wrote for my first love. I'll always remember her, still dream of her til this day..Maybe I'll see her again in the next life....
and returns------->

Back to Aries, back to Square 1. "Tired of all this mushy, emotional compassionate stuff! You may be sad, but I'm not! No time to cry over spilt milk, it's time for some action! I have a whole lifetime, and lifetimes after that ahead of me, now let's go, and get things started!"

And back to Taurus..."Whew..Tired of running around..Time to settle down, and think of someone besides myself for a change.."

and back to the future... on and on, the wheel keeps turning....

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

This is awesome. I'd say mostly the Zodiac placement has more to do with mathematics, but this is the result of that, and it's important to look at things from all perspectives. I tried coming up with something like this earlier and failed. And no sign is better than another, except every sign is better than Virgo. Just kidding. But everyone does pick on Virgo too much. It's a mutable sign for crying out loud. That makes it even worse to pick on, same with Pisces. We're all equals and we're all really the same. Any time you pick on someone you're picking on yourself. People need to learn to understand that we're all really looking for the same thing (10 planets) in different ways (signs and aspects.) People have more toleration of each other here than anywhere I've ever been because here we can understand one another, or at least we think we can.

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

Thank you Rebel Uranian for your response...! I think I may have seemed a little hard on Scorpio and Capricorn, but when one takes it in context, you can understand exactly where each sign is coming from. And hopefully, we can be a bit easier on them and understand how they both progressed to be the characters they are. I also misunderstood Virgo, until it progressed into my Ascendant. Every sign is needed, and worthy of being on the Zodiac, and is acting exactly the way it should at its own personal stage of evolution. Virgo rocks man, I needed that down to earth energy in my life, and criticism, in many ways, is more valuable than praise!

And to astrologer50 I believe you said
Quote:
"you are aware of forum rules and only 100words of copyright material? is this your own work?"
My response to that is, are you serious????? Of course this is my own work! And I'm aware it's kind of long, but I think it's worth the read. At the very least, for anyone who wants to look at any particular sign, and the sign before it, to get a better understanding of its energy and psyche, the descriptions for each are pretty brief. I challenge you to find anything like this anywhere, believe me, you won't find it, because this is from my own unique thought process and it came directly from my own little brain. I'm always meditating on astrology, and this was my revelation this morning, upon awakening.

Although I'm tempted to react in a negative way for you suggesting that I would just post someone else's work and pass it off as my own, I actually take it now as a compliment! I thought this might be copyright-worthy, maybe even good enough material for a book. I'll probably develop the rest as soon as someone offers me a book deal! Hopefully,

And for the record, I know this can use a lot more work, and expounding upon, this is basically a rough draft of the energy flow between the signs. Don't get too caught up in the details! Aries is not THAT selfish, Taurus not as simple-minded, Scorpio not as paranoid and psychotic (or is it? lol). Just a general idea of the type of general energy that's in each sign. For some, it may be spot on, for some, maybe Aquarius, I was a little out there with it, but in general, that's just getting a feel of Aquarius' energy, which can manifest in infinite ways.

I'd be happy to hear from anyone where you feel I was spot on, or where you feel I was wrong! But again, this is a very rough draft, and very stream of consciousness, so forgive me.

Wow, thanks, I really appreciate that! I'm a Gemini, eternally young at heart, I tell you. But my sign has progressed into Cancer, and sure enough, I really am tired of running around, that's how you get into trouble! So I'm a more of a homebody now, safe and sound and finally thinking about settling down with a wife (who can cook) and some kids. It may take a while, bc like I said, I'm a Gemini, I don't know if I'll ever really grow up!

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

Well I'm glad you enjoyed it. And to your credit, you did delete the post before I responded. But it's still not the nicest thing to say to someone. It seemed like a knee-jerk reaction that seemed critical on more than one level.

It was a bit condescending, first of all, assuming I didn't know the rules of the forum. Then to question my intelligence and knowledge of astrology by implying someone else must have written it, is like saying I couldn't think of this myself. And thirdly, to attack my character, as if I was in 7th grade, copying something word for word out of a book and trying to pass it off as my own work to get an A. What exactly would I gain from passing off someone else' work here as my own? There's certainly no paycheck or award involved.

I've been on this forum for over 2 years, and have a pretty good track record of knowing what I"m talking about, and also expressing my own original ideas, however unpopular some of them may be. It does feel like it was a knee-jerk reaction of criticism towards me, based on an attitude towards me in general, because we have butted heads on here before, if I'm not mistaken.

But again, although I'm still kind of flabbergasted at the whole idea of what you were suggesting, and the many implications of it, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

The idea of the "evolution" of signs is pretty modern. You find a lot of it in the writing of Dane Rudhyar and the theosophical school (20th century). They soft-pedaled the idea of signs as cardinal, fixed or mutable and in one of the four elements as an organizational scheme.

I am not sure where the concept of evolution takes us. Maybe as our charts progress and planets change signs we could view our planets as getting tired of Capricorn and ready to bust loose in Aquarius, or some such--but does it really work that way? I am old enough to have had a bunch of progressed planets change signs, and i don't recall thinking, "Whew--I was getting tired of Mars in Pisces--thank goodness he's more indipendent in Aries" or something similar.

I'm not much into limiting, stereotypical gender roles. And not so much into the notion that fatigue with a particular sign impels anybody into the next one.

Our charts are what they are.

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

Actually I'm incorporating the age old philosophy of yin and yang into this analysis. It's the ebb and flow of life, new moon to full moon and back. Progressions is not really what I'm talking about here, although it may work for some more than others.

For example, I was a Gemini, outgoing all my life, and I can pinpoint the exact year that I became more of a homebody. It wasn't a conscious decision, it's just the flow of time, night follows the day, and day follows the night, the moon follows the sun, and the Sun comes back.

I'm not proposing anything revolutionary here, this is just my 3rd eye vision of the way the zodiac is set up, from positive sign to negative sign and back to positive. It's not about consciously being tired of a sign, it's the planets and time itself moving on. And a lot of it is predestined. Yes, our charts are the way they are, I think the natal chart never loses its power over us, but everything changes. "Seasons change, people change, feelings change".

What I've outlined is just the ebb and flow of life, with my own little flavor, based on experience. I can speak on each sign because I know people of each sign, and have my own experiences with my Sun, Ascendant and Moon signs. So a lot of the "voices" above are actually real people speaking.

Also, this post is not about people completely changing as their signs progressed. It's only about the energy of each sign itself, as they flow one into the other. It's about what separates, but links neighboring signs. What I'm saying is not reinventing the wheel here. I think we tend to see each sign as existing in their own little world, but they are all intimately connected, energy-wise. And as some people have commented above, it's a bit easier to understand where each sign is coming from, as some may have biases towards a certain Sun sign, for whatever reason. It's a bit helpful to all, especially beginners to see whatever sign they hate, from that sign's perspective.

It's almost like, you can't understand anyone til you know where they came from. If someone comes in your house soaking wet, you'd be mad until you knew that it just started pouring outside. If a Leo came a half-hour late for an appt, a biased person would immediately blame it on their ego, until the Leo explained that their child or other family member was sick and they just had to drop them off at the hospital. Knowing where they just came from, will allow more of an understanding of them. That's all this post is trying to convey.

Is it possible for someone to evolve (progress) into the next sign at an early age? I've never felt lighthearted like an Aries should/is said to feel.

What degree of Aries are you? In other words, what's your birthdate? If it's in a late degree, or sometime in mid-April, sure.

April 7th, definitely an early Aries but I'm not loud-mouthed or impulsive. I'm quite serious for an Aries.

Re: Evolution of the Signs, from Aries to Pisces

April 7th would put your Sun at 17 degrees Aries, so your Sun sign progressed to Taurus when you were around 13. You may have felt the changes coming a couple of years before that. You may also have other planets in Taurus, or you may have either a strong Capricorn or strong Saturn influence. I would have to see your chart to understand it more.

I have a Taurus moon! I love it, so. If your sun sign is progressing do all the other planets follow suit? Or do they progress at their own speed? Asking because I'm wondering if my P. Aqua moon is "working" yet or not. I also have my generational planets in Capricorn and all packed in the 7th house, an Aries stellium in the 11th, with Mars and Jupiter in the 12th. Oh, and a singleton planet (Pluto) in the 5th. My chart is pretty simple. However, I'm impressed at your expertise. I was actually very old-school when I was in middle-school and never was one to participate in the petty games kids that age play. Part of that probably has to do with my being an only child and around adults most of the time, though.
