How to guess someone's rising...when you've seen everything else?

basically when you know all the other planets how do you know which is the rising and which is just a planet being expressed?

Let me tell you its almost impossible to guess someones rising sign. Perhaps the most SUBTLE of signs could give you a clue or two..but not generally. I say this as i have seen so many inaccuracies.

If you see a round 'moon' face person you might think 'cancer rising'!! ..i did a few times too but they turned out to be a Gemini/Taurus rising so its almost impossible. I find it 100% easier to guess a persons moon sign..of course you cannot tell right away..you'd have to hang out with them for a couple of days!

Check rising sign using Sidereal rising sign instead of Tropical http://www.westernsiderealastrology.com/

Hmmm yeah I guess you're right. But the thing is, I have a Gemini rising and I'm a really outgoing, talkative, witty sort true to the sign until you get to my Pisces sun, but I guess not many people express their rising as much as I do.

I agree with Brooke--there are many confounding factors, such as a planet in the first house or aspecting the ascendant. You can try chart rectification techniques, based on event timing.

I thought a friend of mine had a Cancer rising, turns out she had a Pisces rising with the Moon conjunct.
