Trying to be more social with relocation chart
I have quite a dilemma here. If you look at my relocated chart for where I'm living now, you'll notice that my Sun, Mercury, and Mars are in the 12th house. Saturn is in the 11th house. Needless to say, I've felt very isolated in this place.
In fact, I think I've always felt quite isolated - you see, I was born in another country with my Sun and Mercury in 5th, closely followed by the Moon and Venus in 6th. When I moved halfway around the world the to US at age 6, most of my personal planets were put in the 12th.
I've always felt like my relocation chart - which I grew up with - made more sense than my natal. The relocated chart just seems to fit my personality better. Having the Sun and Mercury in the 12th made me shy and quiet around others, and Mars in 12th doesn't make me too assertive. Saturn in 11th didn't mean that I had no friends, but it certainly has made making friendships harder by putting barriers up. Or maybe that's my Scorpio Rising speaking.
Sometimes I really can't tell what factors are from my relocated or my natal. But I still believe that the RelNat has a strong influence on a person. (I really like Julian Lee.)
Anyway, so I'm looking for a place where I don't have to feel uncomfortable expressing myself, a place where I'll be more outgoing and sociable. I've looked up relocation charts on astro.com for different places across the country and it seems that the best place for me is the west coast, all up and down Washington, Oregon, and California, where a number of planets are in my 1st house.
But the thing that really concerns me about my relocated chart in LA is Saturn in the 12th. Capricorn is on my 11th house cusp, which means that the ruler of my 11th is in the 12th. And Aquarius on my 12th house cusp means that the ruler of 12th is in the 11th. I'm concerned that this means that I'll just be isolated again. Could this be right? I'm a relative novice at this, and sometimes astrological cookbooks just aren't that helpful. I'd really like to learn something about my charts.
Any thoughts on my natal, current relocated, and California charts are much appreciated!
PS. I realize that there is a space for relocation astrology threads, but I wasn't sure what forum to post in. Hopefully the mods can help me here.

Modern Astrology is of course based on Traditional Astrology, so it is worth checking out what the Ancients advice is on this matter The Ancients say that each planet has its 'Joy' in a certain house and the 12th house is the house in which Saturn is 'in joy'. The Ancients also commented that the twelfth house is a Cadent House and so it is a good place for Saturn as it curbs Saturn's malefic nature
These days the planetary joys are apparently used in horary astrology mostly according to this link http://www.skyscript.co.uk/horary1e.html

Re: Trying to be more social with relocation chart
Hi moonxie. Yes I see what you mean - the 12th house emphasis does seem to be perhaps the strongest suggestion of a sense of isolation in this chart.
As you say, if you move you'll have Saturn in the 12th, but you already have, and will always have, Saturn in Pisces exactly semisquare Neptune, so you will be familiar with that kind of energy to some extent already. Whether you want any more of it by putting Saturn in the 12th is up to you I guess.
In taking away the 12th house emphasis, you'd be putting Pisces on the Ascendant, and you'll always have your Sun and Mercury ruler (Mars) in Pisces anyway. It seems you are fated to meet 12th house/Pisces energy in one form or another if your options are limited to those you have mentioned. But at least those personal planets will be out in the open.
Saturn in the 12th can be difficult, but if you have a spiritual practise of some sort like meditation, you are in a good position to bring out the best in this placement. Otherwise it can feel very lonely because it can block the sense of being fused with the rest of life.
I would check the contacts to any midpoints that involve an angle with Sun or Moon, and the ascendant/midheaven midpoint for extra information. You can also note any affect that anyone born there has had on you - it could be argued that the synastry between the two of you would be far more important, but the same synchronicity would probably permeate all these levels. You could go for a visit to see how it feels - and again anything that happens during that visit could probably be taken as synchronous with your relationship to that place, along with the transits that 'happened' to be occurring at the time.
But all this is tentatively suggested and I would say follow your intuition.
