Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
Is that bad?
I was born on the end cusp of Pisces. I'm still trying to grasp what that exactly means. Can anyone help me out here?

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
I think you misunderstood my question. I know for sure that I'm Piscean, but according to a book I'm currently reading, I was born on the cusp (the last 5 days or so is what the general consensus is, but I'm sure you knew that). Specifically, I'm 27.53º into Pisces.

It's neither good nor bad. Planets are modified by signs, where they express are houses and how they express are *aspects*

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
Of course it isnt bad
You could say roughly 1/3 of all people are born on some kind of cusp or another, it doesnt make you any less Pisces, however, it does give your Sun less time in Pisces growing up so the piscean energy may not feel very 'right' for you.. i.e. you might feel more like an Aries than Pisces (its common in late degree cusp-born people to feel more like the next sign instead).
Have you posted your Natal chart here ?

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
I actually feel very Piscean. It helps that I also have Pisces in Mercury.
I haven't yet. I thought I'd try to do some personal, hands-on studying on my own before I did that. I'd like to at least have a general idea of what my chart says before I ask about specifics.

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
Can we see your chart? We can then comment on the 'generalities.'

QUOTE FROM SHAKESPEARE: ACT 2 Scene 2
Hamlet:
What have you, my good friends, deserv'd at the hands of
Fortune, that she sends you to prison hither?
Guildenstern:
Prison, my lord?
Hamlet:
Denmark's a prison.
Rosencrantz:
Then is the world one.
Hamlet:
A goodly one, in which there are many confines, wards, and
dungeons, Denmark being one o' th' worst.
Rosencrantz:
We think not so, my lord.
Hamlet:
Why then 'tis none to you; for there is nothing either good or
bad, but thinking makes it so. To me it is a prison.
If you were born when the Sun was conjunct the final degrees of Pisces then your Sun is Pisces.
If you were born when the Sun was conjunct the early degrees of Aries then your Sun is Aries.
you are either a Pisces Sun Sign or an Aries Sun Sign
you cannot be both a Pisces Sun Sign and an Aries Sun Sign

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
You might want to get into decans and dwads. These divide a sign by 3 & 12, respectively. Your sun is in the Scorpio decans and Aquarius dwad. Gives a few more nuances to you basic Pisces nature.

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
Also, your ascending degree duodenary (dwad) is Aquarius, like your Solar dwad.

-_-
How many times do I have to specify that I'm fully aware that I'm Piscean? I believe I've said that a few times now...

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
I have a major cusp placement, and often times the signs don't make sense to anyone else but your self. when you have a cusp its a personal identifying mark more so then any other aspects, because it forms something rare and something new.
Often times, what happens is as your chart progresses as you age, you will eventually mature into the next house sign.

Re: Being Born on a Sign's Cusp
I haven't found Sabian symbols to be very helpful, but a lot of people swear by them. They give a symbolic image you can interpret for each degree of the zodiac.
Cosmic love, you can google these unfamiliar terms for definitions and articles.
