I've had the strangest life...
Hello, everyone!
I've been trying to self-decipher my own chart, but I'm still quite the novice and I am having a lot of trouble. I mainly want to know how school/ or work is going for me, if I will ever find someone and get married, how are things between me and my son, and anything else that seems interesting or important. I've had a lot of very strange things happen in the past few years, and I want to know if they show up in my chart, and if I should be expecting this pattern to continue?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Astrology can seem complicated to a novice... I'm no expert myself... meanwhile to help you build your understanding here's a link to a useful website for the beginner (because of the free guidance offered there) http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/ThePlanets.htm - the idea is that you match what you discover regarding planets, signs and houses with the planets in your chart
alternatively there's another excellent site where you'll find information regarding house meanings as well as information on planets and signs http://www.skyscript.co.uk/

Welcome to AW,
I don't think you quite understand what a 'big ask' you want. Want you are asking 'could take hours' and perhaps you should think about paying a professional astrologer
Everyone here gives their time and expertise freely and willingly in a volunteer manner.
Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.
So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....
Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...
Remember back to your school days an opposition is 180', square 90', trine 120', and sextile 60' Now challenged aspects are conj (depending on the planets, cos some like each other and some really don't) squares and oppositions. Easy aspects are conj (if the planets get along) eg: Jupiter conj Moon, sextile and trine. Quincunx is inbetween (depending on the planets) causes health strains and unresolved or hard to balance planets/energies.
Three most important things in a natal chart, sun, moon and Ascendant.
your sun is strongly influenced by it's conjunction to pluto, making you very intense, private person, who always wants/needs to control everything around them.
Your chart ruler Capricorn/Saturn stuck in 12th is not great. Now scorpio and capricorn to me are the two least sociable signs, capricorn as it's a workaholic and tight with it's money and scorpio because it doesn't want other people knowing it's business...

Your outlook on life can be brought into balance by spending some time alone to meditate and recharge your batteries.
Avoid becoming your own adversary by falling into the "woe is me" victim trap. Spiritual philosophies that go beyond traditional orthodox viewpoints can bring revealing insights into your life and the meaning of it all. You may identify somehow with large public institutions that provide a service to society, especially the helping professions.

Re: I've had the strangest life...
astro.com has a free 'personal portrait' interpretation of a natal chart in the free horoscope section, you simply put the cursor on a planet and it brings a pop up box to explain what it means to have a planet in that house and any other aspects it has to natal planets. plus a six month free transit report in 'short report' Robert Hand gives a valuable in depth explanation of transits here – only slight objection I have with astro, is they use orbs of upto maybe 10' approaching, exact and departing. So most transits seem very long in effect. I use more realistic orbs of 1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing.
