Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Hello,

I am new to this thing so please have patience to me. I am studying my birth chart. It is interesting how some of it makes sense. Especially the part about relationships.

Venus in the 7th house.
Venus is in Virgo
Venus conjunct Mars.
Venus square Moon.
Venus square Neptune.

It's rather unfortunate but it seems that nothing is going good for me in relationship direction. It is also of notice that Saturn is in the 8th house.

All this seems to be consistent with my life experience. I seem to have been suffering quite a lot in relationships and love. I very rarely find someone with whom to be and all of my relationships (which weren't so many) ended up very bad and bitter for both me and her. Despite a very fiery and passionate start and a very passionate love, in most cases, after some quite long period of time, everything fell apart. It takes me a long time to recover from these emotional breakdowns.

I seem to be severely handicapped in this area. On one hand I seem to be unable to have any success in love and on the other hand I seem to have a deep need to have this kind of success.

I really want to fix this aspect. After all, the stars should also show you some way to improve your life or else, it wouldn't be of any use to reveal it, right?

What can I do? What are some guidelines?

Thanks a lot,
DT

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Hi

Sun / Mars / 7th house and 7th house ruler are your main players when it comes to romance -- if you are a woman
Moon / venus / 7th house and 7th house ruler are your main players - if you aare a man

please post your chart so we can see what is going on

having Venus in virgo is not nails on the coffin

thank you

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Hi

okay

So we need to look at

Moon 29 sag - critical deg
Venus 29 virgo - critical deg

Moon / venus square --- that is probably why you are having tough times.

Sun 15 scorpio - lord of 7th

lemme look at things .. btw when was your most recent relationship? when did it start and ended?

Bb in a few hours lemme think

Thanks

There is a 'plethora' of information on AW, espec in the 'stickys' at the top of every forum, our Education forum and Recommendations forum to. Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

These are rather personal questions, but let's discuss it. My most recent relationship started in December 2007 and ended in 2010 March. It went down in flames for both of us and I couldn't really bring myself completely over it.

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

this chart is not great as it does not show the aspect grid or data we need to look at 'at a glance' which astro.com does

venus square moon
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24933&highlight=venus+square+moon

I use Equal House system (where each cusp is same as Ascendant) and am a modern astrologer. Lots of newcomers come into Astrology/forums and get a free chart from www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few others if you wish to experiment…..

so in Equal house your mars/venus will be 8th house
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houses.htm#house8

you have a bundle shape chart.

Venus in Conjunction to Mars
You are lively and demonstrative. You know how to work for and not against yourself. Sensuality can be quite pronounced with this aspect. Do you ever find that people are staring at you? There is something attractively magnetic about your aura field that demands the attention of other people, even though you're not trying to do that intentionally.

the blending of the feminine and masculine energies within is a natural process, although other aspects to the conjunction will tell the whole story as to how this is done. These people possess personal magnetism in spades. They live and breathe romantic/sexual relationships. It is generally easy for them to form relationships, unless the conjunction is severely afflicted. They ooze sexuality, and they are generally quite impulsive with regards to entering new relationships. Relationships are not only important to them, they require a fair amount of excitem ent, adventure, and passion in their pairings in order to feel alive and vital

So in Equal house saturn would be 9th along with sun, conj saturn, which shows lack of rapport with father and strong Capricorn/saturn influences affecting your sun/scorpio

in men's chart we look at venus and moon, 7th house any planets posited there, 7th house cusp ruler Leo/sun placed in 9th house

Saturn in the 9th house
· Saturn's best positions are the 3rd and 9th houses. Gives a practical philosophy of life.
· Not good for relationships with in-laws if afflicted. Best to live at a distance.
· Makes good teachers, professors, workers in publishing fields or scientific pursuits.
· Good at detailed work. Exacting and concentrative.
· Can be fanatical and intolerant in religious concerns if Saturn is afflicted.
· These people are influenced by the conservative religion and traditional values of their background. Even rebellion will change only the form and not the reality of their basic beliefs.
· Life or travel in foreign countries may be most successful if connected with work.
· Care should be taken to avoid difficulties in travel.
· Systems of belief you will judge according to their practical value and you will seek and desire personal distinction through some achievement you have studied.

Ruler of the 7th House in the 9th House
Quote:
Relationships must be vital and alive rather than static and routine in order for you to feel fulfilled. In some cases, the spouse comes from a culture that is very different from your own background. You might shy away from a legal commitment. Your partner brings out the philosopher or wanderer in you. Through partnerships, you feel more adventurous, curious, and interested in exploring beyond your neighbourhood. Although you may rely on others to inspire your own higher mind, you do not necessarily concur with her beliefs. You enjoy discussing and creating your personal philosophies together with a partner

Ruler of the Seventh House in the Ninth House
Quote:
Your spouse may be from a foreign country or he/she may simply come from a culture that is very different from your own background. You might prefer a living together arrangement with a partner rather than making a legal commitment. However, it may be that your attitude towards marriage was heavily influenced by your religious beliefs or your religious upbringing. Additionally, a partner or even very close friends might be able to influence your philosophical ideas about spiritual matters.

Hi DeepTouble

This is interesting

transits of 2007 very quite intense I can somewhat understand why the relaitonship was intense
you had :
Pluto / jupiter conjuncting your Moon - North node sextiling your moon ---- quite intense powerful relationship
Pluto squared, Jupiter squared your Venus and mars - massive transit
Uranus trined while Neptune squared your sun (lord of 7th house_)
Neptune conjuncted your Asce along with North node conj your asce
as you can see it is very profound and deep relationship and probably the most intense relationship yet
for you

lets go back to your natal chart for a second...
your wester hemisphere with southern hemisphere are strong
Western hemisphere shows that you can and do have a natural talent mediating problem in your relationships as you "foresee" problems and maybe are able to tap into what the other person is feeling. it is also sort of showing with having very strong scorpio. At the same time Virgo is the strongest sign in your chart. You could be too analytical in relationships.
Since your Southern hemisphere is stronger than Northern very likely you can be a very social person.
I am not seeing a lot of water other than Scorpio. So highly unlikely you would understand sensitive and emotional person.
your firey desc Leo shows that you need to have excitement in your life when it comes to romance.
we also cannot ignore 5th house which rules your way of enjoying romance.
it is ruled by Cancer .. NOWever...your Moon is in saggie and is in 11th house.
Moon squaring Venus - lets look at this .. it almost feels like you have a hard time being yourself in relationships. I do not think this is self confidence problem. I thik you are just in the midsts of learning about your emotional world. I am also suspecting that you have a difficulty expressing yourself at times you think and feel one thing but it comes out with misunderstood intention.
i am also not liking the fact that Moon is soo close to square with mars even thought it is separating aspect better than approaching you might have a conflicting view on what the mate should be like. maybe you are old school. At the same time, Moon sextiles Pluto it is not as intense aspect as trine / square / conjunction but it is strong aspect to play a double edge sword with you if you are not careful.
Sun is in conjunction with Saturn - Sun being a ruler of 7th .. i would say very likely your mate has to be responsible and serious person that can not only have deep committted values but be able to be effecting communicator with you. You tend to get bored rlatively fast in relaitonships and you do not take relationships lightly due to fixed 1/7 axis.
Venus squares Neptune is ehh somewhat fatigued aspect - it can be a double edge if it is misused misinterpreted .. on one hand, it can create unrealstic expectations when it comes to a mate on the possitive side, the mate might inspire you for something greater like working for some kind of cause. Itis also interesting to note that you do have a flare of not liking to be tied down or asked constantly "where are you?" "where have you been?" and might not tolarate jelous soap opera.
I think you have very intense chart and i think you have very unconventional personality who doesnt take romance lightly. To you relationships are making you want to be and have responsible partner but when it gets too serious, you somewhat panic (i cannot think of another word to describe it) .. you want lighter but you end up getting heavily into it.

cheers

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Thank you Tikana and astrologer50 for your replies.

Astrologer50, I'll try to look over the link you provided and over the chart that you speak of so that I get more insight on what you are saying. I don't have enough knowledge so that I can comment.

Tikana,
Thank you for your interpretation. There are some points which I am not sure that they match with my personality.

Quote:
as you can see it is very profound and deep relationship and probably the most intense relationship yet for you
I am not 100% sure about this one. Most of my relationships were pretty intense and there was one before this one which was longer and seemed a little bit more intense. However, this last one... I somehow thought for a while that I finally had everything figured out, or so.

Quote:
Since your Southern hemisphere is stronger than Northern very likely you can be a very social person.
I don't seem to be that much social usually. While I am not recluse or anything, I do have very few friends and I seem to be quite reluctant in starting social interactions. Once I do get one started though, it seems easier to go on. But by no means am I really that social.

Also, it seems sometimes Mars is considered square to Moon for this chart.

Quote:
You tend to get bored rlatively fast in relaitonships and you do not take relationships lightly due to fixed 1/7 axis.
This sentence seems correct at least for the first part but ... how am I going to fix this? Also, the second part seems to contradict the first one. On one hand I get bored fast, on the other I do not take relationships lightly. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me...

Aside from the above observations the rest does seem to be congruent with my experience. However I am not really certain the whole analysis tells me things about how would it be best to go on in life. I mean, the title of the topic was "Venus in (fall) and what to do" ( I corrected it).

There is one exception to this, and it is this line which seems to be indeed what I am looking for (even though this is a very broad statement):
Quote:
i would say very likely your mate has to be responsible and serious person that can not only have deep committted values but be able to be effecting communicator with you.
So somehow my question would be procedural: how should I act in the future or what should I do or learn so that I have a normal love life / future family life?

Thank you very much once again. And I sincerely appreciate your response.
DT

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Deep

I dont mean you are "paris hilton" butterfly type.. social person means you do know how to communicate in social groups. You dont feel at odds in the crowd.

you question is deep make me really think how to even answer it. I think i do get it.

Maybe toning down the demand list and drop being heavy on yourself would help? Having Venus in Virgo NOT easy esp for a guy and moon not helping at all!

Overwhelming Fire in yoru chart makes me think that is your weakness. It is usually you take more responsobilities than you can handle.

I am not sure even if you drop the "weight' that will fulfillyour inner emotional need. Not an easy chart to pin point a connection.

I never come up with an answer at first time i look i gotta "feel" out the person's chart then deal with the solution. I dont know what is it like to be you but just looking at your chart it is quite heavy duty one.

On one hand you want to lightness, on another hand if you get that lighter perspective it might bore you even more.. and your moon is in the phase of new moon, you enjoy takingi on new projects/relationships.

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

venus square moon suggests that people you are attracted don't always fulfill you emotionally and vice versa.

Now moon conj neptune, does suggests emotional disillusionment, poss connected to mother and early childhood, either smother loved or was emotionally unavaible perhaps. this aspect has been linked with easting disorders to. so basically confusions of emotions, saggi moon can be a bit of a 'thrill of the chase me merchant' and quite late for settling down and needs lots of freedom and indenpendence within relationships...

your stellium in 9th house (Equal house) shows strong interests in higher education, the law, police, travel, journalism, teaching

No, this is not at all the case. I had a pretty normal and sane childhood. Both of my parents were quite affectionate and despite their shortcomings I cannot under any circumstance say that they were in any way bad parents.

There was emotional disillusionment of course, but this came probably later in life and not necessarily related to parents. I cannot say I have an eating disorder. I am quite fit for my age. I don't have probably an Adonis body but I can probably be described as athletic.

I do have an intellectual profession if that is what you mean, but none of those mentioned. I am a programmer.

The stuff from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8162943AA1TzLE seems to fit quite well. It fits even more with my hobbies but with my profession as well.

the link you posted only goes upto 6th house stellium? and your stellliums highlight 9th and 11th houses

If we want to look at mother we look at your moon which is in extrovert Saggi but conj Neptune, maybe subconscious confusions. Looking at father, saturn and sun, which are conjunct suggesting lack of rapport with father. I have moon opp neptune, my mother was physically there, but emotionally unavailable

Moon conjunct Neptune
There's no shortage of imagination when the Moon is in conjunction to Neptune in the natal chart. How this quality is used depends greatly on the other aspects to this conjunction and the natives' level of maturity. In a difficult chart, over-sensitivity, dependency, self-pity, irresponsibility, escapism, and irrational fears are possible. However, most people with this aspect do not display all or even most of these traits for prolonged periods

Sun conjunct Saturn
This is a rather sober aspect. Those born under a Sun conjunct Saturn aspect, in their youth, are humbled in some way such that they do not feel free to express their will in an outgoing and direct manner. As children, their expressions of their ego were thwarted, which led to some self-consciousness regarding self-expression. They were painfully aware that what they wanted, they didn't always get. As adults, they do not feel comfortable as the center of attention

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

produces self-control and reserve, irrespective of other indications in your chart. The characteristics of the Sun are restrained, becoming less enthusiastic, more cautious. There may be many limitations and a need for discipline in the life, but the aspect provides a much greater inner strength and persistence. You are a hard worker, a disciplinarian, and an organizer. Because of these traits you are likely to be handed heavy responsibilities. Your strong personality goes its own way, despite the feelings of others. This aspect is not good for marriage, for you are a "lone wolf" type in some ways. You matured at an early age, and your formative years may have been difficult.

so what do you think this could mean? lack of rapport with father, strict, aloof, distant father figure perhaps?

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

I got that venus conjunct mars on my chart.

Venu in cancer in the 12th and Mars in Leo in the 1st.

What I feel that's been channeled as for me is an ability to connect with both men and women on an empathetic level. Me being a dude, it was weird growing up and realizing I'd rather go home and kick it with a bunch of girls then hang out with my guy friends some days. It's not necessarily channeled as an overt feminism or homosexuality, but just a better understanding of the opposite sex. The reason this conjunction can be seen as a bad thing is that it provides a source of confusion pertaining to identity issues and relationships. The key for me is to be genuine in seeking what i want in a relationship. Gender roles are not mandatory to abide to in any relationship. I had to learn to mute my excessive need to prove myself as a man and I still struggle with this. Mars generates that overcompensation or pride complex in this case not venus. Having venus and mars in your 7th house though will aim this aspect towards your romantic life. Just be aware of that.

Thanks a lot,
DT
We need the visual chart to suss out the aspects for ourselves.
Venus conjunct Mars even in Virgo shows that you find love and sex together and want it. It is not a bad conjunction. What you love and what you fancy are the same. But please post the chart anonymously. I agree that you have some heavy aspects with Venus but the square can be dealt with and become an asset.

Re: Afflicted Venus and what to do?

Maybe what you can do is find someone whose Mars or Sun (or any significant celestial body) doesn't conjunct your venus (because it would mean it would square your moon, which isn't good), but instead, trines it? such as a woman with Mars or Sun in say Taurus or Cappy, then they would be only inconjunct your moon, thus minimizing the damage, so to speak.

If her mars or sun is in same sign as your venus, which is virgo, you would be incredibly attracted to her, but she would at at emotional odds at you, owing to your moon at Sag at around the same degree.

just a thought!!
