Shadow period eh?... I'll just say yesterday I got in my car to go and visit a relative who had just been hospitalized, and couldn't drive 'cause one of my car tyres was completely flat. Maybe if it was already retro-time it would have blown up while I was driving!?
To be on the safe side I'll probably have to change all the tires now (they're old and well used anyway).

I have friends coming over to visit the next 2 week-ends and I fear it's gonna be tough to get it all well organized...
Plus these days I am making an effort to keep a special friendship, and it doesn't seem like the best time to have conversations heart to heart...

But lets look at the dates. IT seems to retro station and release conjunct my natal Pluto...and since this is a generational planet many will be affected I suspect.

well I have lost my passport - no way, that is a bit dramatic ok 'misplaced' my passport. I will find it. was planning a trip but nothing imminent booked.

this time it will retrograde in 10th(near my midheaven and opposing sun) and natal mercury is in my 4th!

It retrogrades to my fifth but I think it matters too where it stations.

So the issues are connected around Virgo or details and Leo...fifth house pleasure things.

Ahahaha After days of exchanges of emails, phone calls and texts to arrange for this weekend together, when it all seemed nicely set, the 2 friends supposed to see me this weekend notified me at midnight between Thursday and Friday that they had just seen they didn't have any train available to get here ... !

I remember I had someone apologize to me in advance just before a retrograde because he already knew he'd say something to make me hate him.

Really though - there's always a lot of dread and people talking about retrogrades in hushed tones just before, but I've never really had anything THAT bad happen during one; just minor misunderstandings, gnarbled communication. Nothing world-shaking. It's only when the outers start to get really busy that I get a little nervous.

anyway, back to mercury retro, this will act as background influences (like all transits do) until they make an aspect to another planet or Angle, ie: Asc/MC

My pluto is well aspected in 7th very tight trine to moon 3rd conj 4th and sextile mars in 5th am expecting 'big news' regarding investments very very soon, which involves partners (7th) communiations and emotions (moon 3rd). So fingers crossed. The station at 1' virgo is conj my 8th cusp and am waiting to be issued funds from others....

another thing I've noticed, for those of us with mercury retrograde natally, having to go back over details is no bad thing. I don't think it affects us quite as badly, because we are used to having to 'clarify matters' make sure we have copies of correspondence, notes of dates/times, travel arrangements written down to avoid misunderstandings...

Mercury also rules my 7th house and transits and retrogrades in my 8th house... maybe some deep introspection going on this August, plus an old flame is recently in touch.

This Merc. Rx on August 2 (I think) coincides with the deadline where USA would not be able to honor its payments, if the Congress vs. White House issue about the national debt it is not resolved. This means very bad news to world economy and (among others), Medicare and Social Security recipients.

Interesting to think of. At the moment everything looks foggy and blurry regarding my future work, house, and current relationship...
But I must add I am dealing with the ongoing conflicts of the cardinal Grand cross in the skies, so one day is good and the next is black

I agree. My Country's Prime Minister is a Libra with Moon in Libra and this does not help with the Grand T I mentioned...
My Country will face bankruptcy soon if we don't adopt an effective economic policy right now.

Nope. One would have had to travel by train for 8 to 10 hours and the other didn't have a connection for the second half of her journey, unfortunately.

EDIT: Don't know if you head the news but one of the main railways stations in my Capital city was burnt down days ago because people had been stealing copper from the tracks or connecting cables or dunno what (!)

All transits act as *background influences* so unless or until it makes an *aspect* to something within your chart AND transiting your 12th you probably won't even notice it...

It has to aspect something late Leo 29' and your mercury is weakly semi sextile to this. I don't' even use or both with semi sextiles...

My family of origin just rescheduled their departure from their holiday spot, so my 'holiday' gets shorter of a week

I kinda feel I want August to be over, already.
