Changing the signs

I've been thinking about it, and I think we need some new astrology! I've decided to reasign a couple of the signs. O.K. I'm going to make scorpio a earth sign acquarius too for that matter. I'm going to take virgo back to his rightful home as an air sign. Virgo will feel less stressed now that he has found his true identity. He thinks the air signs aren't as much a bunch of party poopers as the earth signs anyway. Taurus will get reassigned a new element, let's see how about, the victoria secret element. Libra can't make her mind up where she wants to be, and taurus and gemini both like her as a lover, so she is an air sign and a victoria secret member. Cancer and pisces can stay as water signs, but I think cancer needs to be gently told that if she doesn't watch it, she will get kicked out of the water group into the earth group. Hoarding all that stuff around the house and buying all that real estate sounds like an earth sign to me. Leo takes the role of top fire sign. I'll leave saggy where he is at too. Aries though, I can't make my mind up about. O.K. leo and saggy are going to be solar signs while aries is going to fire. Gemini gets to stay in the air club with virgo and the occasional libra. Hehehe. L.

Re: Changing the signs

Ummmmm. I think astrology has already done that, except it called them Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable

P.S. Libra isn't a 'she'...It's a masculine sign.

Re: Changing the signs

Hello, I referred to libra as a female because venus was a woman even though libra is masculine. I was guessing that Jupiter was a male. I wasn't so sure on that one.
Have you ever noticed that some of the signs don't seem to totally fit their element in the zodiac like scorpio and virgo. Do you think that some of the modes, I'm not sure what the word is, like fixed, mutable and cardinal tend to gravitate towards certain elements more than others. For example do you think a mutuable air sign (gemini) might be more airy than a fixed or a cardinal air sign. I know this is a very subjective question with no right or wrong just based on what we have observed. Just curous. L.

Re: Changing the signs

I disagree. Virgo to me is most definitely an earth sign despite being ruled by the mercurial one. I find virgoans to be rather practical, earthy and concrete and slow compared to Gem, Lib, Aqu. Aqu is definitely air despite its rigidity.

Re: Changing the signs

Yes an earth sign first and foremost, but don't you detect something a little airy about virgos? Underneath their practical level headed veneer I sense a child's wonder that you usually only find with the air signs. They are still amazed and blown away by the wonders of the world much like a gemini is. I also sense that they are not near as organised as they come across. I think they are afraid of disorganizaton more than anything. Plus you can have the kind of mentally stimulating conversation with a virgo that you would normally get with an air sign. As for acquarius, yes, they are an air sign, but aren't they stubborn which almost goes against the grain of the air element. Think about what air does. It circulates. It moves. I don't think acquarius, for all of their bizarre aloof ways, are quite as airy as the other two air signs. I guess that relates to why virgo doesn't seem 100% earthy to me. The mutability (is that a word) makes virgo seem a litte bit airy to me. Well these are just some thoughts that I've had for a long time, and I just wanted to share them. It's all purely opinion on my part of course. L.

I think that depends upon whether you are looking at the signs subjectively or objectively. By that, I mean that do you judge a sign by people you know who through your eyes, do or don't represent the qualities of that sign? How can you really tell what is brewing inside Scorpio just because the intensely emotional feelings and private side of character may not outwardly be expressed? Or, is the discriminative side of Virgo about theories, feelings or real situations?

I personally don't find that a problem because I don't associate the triplicities with temperament but manners through which that temperament is expressed. However I have to admit that Libra as a CARDINAL sign....and masculine to boot.... is the one with which I have the most trouble getting a grip on.

Re: Changing the signs

I like to see Aqu as an air sign because its a bit like a cyclone or thunderstorm that kind of circulates and won't go away, in that way it is air. Well its more like a lightning strike, lights up every now and then, which requires charged air in the process.

It is a very mental sign, which all air signs are. Aqu aren't really known for emotion or practicality and its not passionate either, so it really can't be part of another element.

Re: Changing the signs

IMO, aquarians offer great friendship and are great mates to people who like a lot of freedom in their relationships, people who would rather have a life partner than an intense physical relationship; this is of course not to say it is not possible for aquarians to be passionate, plenty other placements will have a say in this.
