sun eclipse on the natal sun

Hi!

I'm from Slovenia, I'm a hobby astrologer and I need your advice. My astrology teacher said once that the sun eclipse in direct conjunction with the natal sun could mean danger or even death of the person! On the 1. 6. 2011 the sun eclipse is exactly on the sun of my son, so I'm quite in panic now, I still remember her words. I already asked him to stay the whole day at home. And this is not all- the sun eclipse is also directly on the moon of my husband. What would you say? Do I have a reason to be worried about or it's this statement of my ex- teacher just overstated?

Each chart is different, but from my own experience I had a great year when the Solar eclipse was conjunct my natal Sun in 2010. I felt like it was a new start for me in all aspects of my life. Sun rules my intercepted 8th house and sits in my 2nd house. I was awarded a large sum of money that year with the process for that starting at the start of the year, during the solar eclipse. It depends on your perspective how you interpret the chart. I may have thought, in my more fearful days, that it was a bad omen, but it wasn't. Sun rules other people's money (intercepted) in my chart, and I got awarded the money from 'other people' (8th house) to my funds (2nd house).

It also depends on what else is going on in your chart at the time and during the following year.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Predicting death by one transit is not ideal. There are always other factors to consider.

The January eclipse happened on my Solar Return and I am still alive and kicking even with Saturn being conjunct my Natal Saturn sitting on my Asc squaring my sun and transiting Pluto on my IC. The year has been interesting. There are many things about my life that have in fact ended, but not my life itself.

Thank you! Well, we survived well last night :-)
My son is born on 3. june. It's interesting that my husband has his moon on the same degree as my son's sun and I had yesterday an exact opposition of the sun on my natal Venus and Mars ( 11 degree sagitarius), so we all were somehow afflicted from the sun ecplise. I hope, the changes in the near future will be only positive nature :-)
