Astro.com is odd in that once you cross Jan 1 it will only produce your next years solar return. thus for me born June 14 when I try to pull 2010-2011 I get 2011-2012. You have to put a date prior to dec 31st to get something you want...I hope that makes sense..did not sleep well.
I will give you pointers but I will not go into depth on a reading...sorry...I am more about teach a man to fish then give them fish
And too I am still learning..
Couple of things to note first:
-what natal house is on the solar ascendant. This tells you not only the focus axis but the general mood of the year or theme and tells you energy going into year...ie fixed signs on angles...not much changes...Cardinal...self initiated action...mutable...change.
-look what house sun occupies...this is where energy and ego will reside
-moons location indicates areas of change or emotional focus.
-simple tool is compare solar house to native...in your case what does natal 11th mean in solar first ...11th house issues will be focus of health, external focus, ego...what does natal 12th house in solar second imply..12th=self-undoing and second=finance...
you can go around the chart with this technique and gain insight.
-what is at the top most of the chart or most visible either solar planets or natal...in your case we see Neptune and chiron at the MC of the solar return chart. This implies what will be most visible to others will take on chiron and Neptune qualities. I use key words to help me. As Neptune is the natural ruler of 12th we can talk about those key words or use Pisces type words ie confusion, doubt, self-undoing, drugs, delusion, compassion, deception.
-look for recurrent themes and aspects ie. your natal neptune squares natal venus and sextiles natal pluto. If solar neptune has an aspect with either of these in the solar chart then that energy will be emphasizied.
Recurrent themes increases likelihood of events..ie
lets see...trying to see patterns...solar Neptune highest point on 9th house side in Aquarius...key words for 9th = legal, school, philosophy..for Neputne=dissovle, deceit, drugs, compassion...for Aquarius as traditional ruler of 11th and Uranus key words larger society, dreams and wishes, unexpected events. So one clue...
2. Solar Pluto and Neptune are conjoined (since Neptune and Pluto have natal relationship this is emphasized). Pluto key words transformation, life and death, sudden eruptions. Occupying 7th house of relationships and open enemies.
3. Natal 7th in solar 9th how do they correlate?
4. 5/11 axis emphasized in solar chart as natal 11th rising. Solar 11th with Uranus on cusp indicating sudden unexpected events surrounding 11th house issues. Uranus natal ruler of 7th.
I use the rule of three. If there are more than three similar themes (ie houses, or planetary energies repeated) in solar, progressions and transits then an event may occur that will set the tone for your year.
Another point is the number of planets per location in chart. More planets in angular means action in the first part of the year. Succedant next third and cadent last part of year.
Moon in first solar indicates you may wear your emotions on a sleeve, appear moody and changeable to others or changes may occur to external presentation or health connected to lunar type issues.
