Via combusta Moon

I was looking at a relationship chart for my friend. She and her husband have been having a lot of problems over the last 6-12 months. This isn't a question/chart I take lightly and I want to give a proper reading for her. The moon in the chart is via combusta in scorpio in the 12th house. I have my own idea of how to interpret this but before coming to a conclusion I wanted some input as to how others read this particular placement.

I would look at it as representing difficulties (due to placement in the Fiery Road) and also pointing to self-undoing, self-undermining actions/outlooks involving the querent (your friend if you are asking the question on her behalf) because of the 12th house placement. Also, that Moon/Via Combusta/Scorpio situation would ALSO be in the 6th house of them AS A COUPLE (them as a unit, as a marriage, would be the 7th house of the chart) so it is also possible that 6th house matters are afflicted and causing problems for them as a couple.
...anyway, that's how I, at least would think about these indications...

Moon in Scorpio, Moon in 12th House, Moon Via Combusta. You might want to look to see what prompted that, Moon's last or most recent aspects. I mean Moon in Fall is one thing, Moon in the 12th would show fear, but being Via Combusta adds a certain urgency to that so I suppose the question is are the fears rational or irrational (Moon's last aspects might reveal that).

8°-9° Scorpio are Pitted Degrees as well. If the Moon is there, then Querent has dug a whole and can't get themselves out, and being in the 12th of self-undoing, you'd have to wonder if the Querent didn't bring this upon themselves through something they did (again Moon's last aspects).

By Ptolemy's Pterms, Moon is Peregrine, but Egyptians make Moon a participating Triplicity Ruler, so by them Moon is not Peregrine having some Dignity in Scorpio. That might be something to consider since a Peregrine Planet that is afflicted is malicious, and the Moon in Fall and Via Combusta would be malicious, if it would be Peregrine.

The other thing is that Venus in Pisces is the only thing keeping the Moon from being Feral. Moon is not Void of Course here because Moon will trine Venus before Venus can escape into Aries.

The only other thing I'd mention is that I've seen notes that suggest Via Combusta was originally 19° Libra to 3° Scorpio (the degree of Detriment of the Sun to the degree of Fall of the Moon), but I don't have any older sources, so I don't know where that doctrine comes from.

While I was reading this, something popped into my head and as soon as I read the part from bob above, it made me think maybe there was something to the idea I had.
I had thought that maybe the moon in 12th here was representing that kind of situation where one partner buries their feelings. They dont say what bothers them. They pretend things are OK. They think (or let themselves believe) that its for the sake of harmony at the moment. But really they are afraid of losing the person. They think if they cause an argument that they are risking the whole relationship. So they put on a happy face even through feeling like they are treated unfairly, or worse, UNTIL all this negativity just builds and builds and builds. Then once they get to the point that they HAVE to say something. It is too late because they have "dug" so deep into negative feelings that to adress it would take a laundry list. And that list would be so tangled and jacked-up its an impossible task. Again, though, I am learning and am open to being corrected if I am wrong. I just wanted to take a try, since this came to mind.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

My friend is the one who hid her feelings for so long and now it's come down to the point where I'm not sure they can straighten it out. Not saying her husband has been innocent because he definitely isn't.
There's a build up of resentment on both sides.

These were all great descriptions of the placement.

Overall this chart aint lookin good.

no, didnt figure he was innocent. He had to be doin something to make the bad feelings that she was hidin right? I only landed on it, because Im guilty of it at times.
