Arabic Part of Success
I found an online Arabic Part Calculator. Now I want to find how to interpret my Part of Success. What does it mean that mine is Virgo, 11 degrees, 59 mins? Virgo rules my 8th house cusp. How do I interpret how exactly I go about tackling this success?
Thanks!

Re: Arabic Part of Success
You should know by now we need to see the chart, pref with prog and transits. How is this part aspected?
I'm only familiar with POF which is the most common used for this purpose, but astro.com has loads and loads of them there..
POF
http://www.astrotherapy.eu/ParsFortunae.htm
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-5210.html
“However, in the case of both significations one must keep in mind that no one indication in the chart, not even the Part of Fortune, can be taken by itself as a total indicator of any area of life. For health one must also look at the Ascendant, its ruler, the Moon and its ruler. Also the sixth and eighth houses as indicators of illness and death respectively have strong indications for health. For material prosperity one should also look at the second house, the tenth house, and their rulers.”
http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_fortune_e.htm
“The fortune indicated by this part is not necessarily materialistic or even tangible, though it can be. It depends on the sign and house location of the Part of Fortune. The benefit can be on the physical, intellectual, emotional, and/or spiritual plane of experience. In all cases it is through the cultivation and expression of this point that one will experience harmony and a sense of well-being.”
http://www.astroresources.com/fortune.htm
“The Part of Fortune represents worldly success, and is associated with the physical body and health as well. It can be indicative of the career or vocation. Worldly success and prosperity are associated with the Part of Fortune, and both its sign and house placement suggests innate abilities and talents--areas of life and qualities that are expressed naturally.”

Re: Arabic Part of Success
Thanks, A50. A number of really good points here. I've read some of those links before. I guess my main question is how do you read the actual part placement/degrees and sign into something that tells you how to go about achieving that success for instance. Will read more of your info. Thanks.
May post the chart if it doesn't click.

Re: Arabic Part of Success
Remember that the Part of Success is not the same as the Part of Fortune, nor is it anywhere equivalent to the POF in degree of astrological importance.
Historically the Part of Success was used more specifically in evaluating likely outcome trends in horary and event charts, and also to a certain extent in Solar Returns (and Lunar Returns)
In natal the POSuccess shows areas of life (house it is posited in) and activities/things (sign it is posited in) where one might find success to be more easily realized (than in other areas of life and other activities/things) Also it shows times and conditions favorable for success in general (so that this can be used in making elections): for example, posited in Virgo that could mean favoring success when Moon is passing through Virgo, and during the month the Sun transits that sign, also Wednesday nights (the time equivalent under Virgo according to the ancients); in addition, transits of planets to the natal POSuccess can indicate beneficial or difficult times for success, as indicated by the planet transiting that natal point.

If you explained a little more about 'exactly' what kind of success you are looking for - it would help.

Unfortunately, there is no set formula or signature for marriage or childbirth, although others may disagree, apparently horary and vedic seem confident in this area. There are indicators and potential as there would be with natal, solar return chart but guarantees -- (post 2 & 3 below)
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?p=207744#post207744
Your chart is a blueprint of your personality, facets and penchants and the whole chart is 'potential' for development. There is nothing guaranteed or fatalistic in charts, I do believe we still do have free will. I also believe we chose our parents and childhood circumstances best suited to learning those Lessons in the best way we can.
I think it's worth bearing in mind that the natal chart, like solar returns is all about 'potential' but as we all know we don't always fulfil that potential do we.
It's like someone saying you can predict death, but with modern medicine and sciences the way they are and the potential to 'die' three times in a life, doesn't mean to say you will does it
I think lots of people have unrealistic expectations about what astrology can and can't do. astrology is an 'art, science and craft' and not clairvoyance either. If there were a formula or signature, don't you think we would ALL be using it?
Predicting marriage and/or having children can be done, but it is not easy, time consuming and intricate. There are lots of things to take into consideration like, secondary progressions, what inter-aspects one chart makes to another, Solar arcs, Solar returns, Transits etc
