Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

Hello, would like to know some opinions of those who already experienced transiting saturn opposite their venus. Does it bring solitude? being cold? Change of inner behavoiur towards the partner?
Thanks!

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

I have it natally and it's horrible (sorry.) At least for you it will not be permanent. You asked if its cold, solitary, etc,... - well, I find its delay and denying of love. My Saturn is in Taurus, 4th house and its retro. My Venus is in 9th, Scorpio. Not good. Practically, it causes delay in attaining love, harsh partnerships, feeling detached (but this is because I have Scorp. Venus - I feel relationships need to be passionate and intense to stir feeling in me.) I don't know where your placements are exactly, but yes, it does cause all the things you've mentioned. But you will grow - as I definately have. It makes love more valuable and worthwhile (finally.) This placement is "worth it" in the end.

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

To be honest, my partner will have to face this transit by mid October. I never faced it, so I cannot imagine the experience... His Saturn is transiting his 9th House in Libra, his natal venus is in Aries in the 3rd house...
I wanted to know the power of it, the effects... It may bring a hard moment for us...

Firstly, for a proper evaluation you should consider posting your chart with progressions and transits on same wheel found in extended chart selection. Reduce the ratio of orbs to 80%, select smallest image size 63% on picture, then choose house system (my personal preference is for Equal house rather than the default of placidus), right mouse click and select 'save target pic as' and save to hard drive then upload here

Every time Saturn makes a hard aspect to my venus a relationship broke and my venus is well aspected. AND venus stands for money, so yep keeps you short of money and wanting to withdraw from socialising.

I had it in my teens. Hmm let me think now. 28 years around. makes me what 13.

I got my first boyfriend at 24 so you could figure out saturn opposition venus at 13 was just bad. Bad bad, suicidal thoughts hated to get the period, become a woman ouch cut my hair and wanted to be ugly with ugly glasses and looked like a boy, and grew so tall.

Coming up next year again.... I´ve been single or in complicated relationships for almost seven years now, I can not really think it could get any worse. saturn opp venus feel free to hit me

Venus is also appearance, and Saturn TR opp it can be a ... step back in how you present yourself to the world - Saturn appearances are not popular. Worse still, Saturn usually means delays, fears and obstacles and I sure had that. It can mean that with many Venusian things; love, money, friendships, social interaction etc. Look for mitigating TR aspects to lighten the load.

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

I also had this in my teens - and am now due for it again when sat gets to 19 degrees.

In my teens I made a very good friendship. I even moved in for that summer and had the time of my life - ah good days!! It was 1981 and I was 18.

But looking at it now it began with hardship - I was made homeless - and really continued to be homeless as saturn passed to and fro across the opposition point. This is a reason I was with the family. But it ended not bad and there were a lot of good moments.

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

My saturn in capricorn is square my venus in libra natally. It is probably the most difficult aspect to deal with. It is easy to isolate yourself from others and feel alone. I believe people with this aspect do want love very much, however we are afraid to let down our guard and let others in. This creates a self fulfilling prophecy because you believe you will never find happiness.

However saturn aspects cause us to grow and really take a hard look at ourselves, which can be very painful but rewarding in the end.

For the transit, I would expect that relationships will be tested during this time. Your boyfriend may feel alone during this period, begin to isolate himself from others (even though this may not be in his character). He could feel undeserving or untrusting of others and the love they give. This could also affect friendships, work relationships etc. I think any planet that comes into a square with saturn is difficult, because saturn is a maelific planet.

I would check the orb first and whether the aspect is applying or seperating. If there is a square of say 2 degrees for example and it is applying he would be able to feel it a lot more compared to a square of 8 degrees and seperating.

Also look at the house too, if it is in an angular house (1,4,7,10) it is likely to have more power compared to if its in say house 2,6,8,12.

and it is important to look at the whole chart not just one aspect like others have pointed out

that is just my opinion, hope it isn't a difficult period for him

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and master teacher, but really he's trying to teach us about ourselves. It wants us to be responsible, hard working, dutiful and learn our Lessons properly, so they won't have to keep being repeated. Therefore, is usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons.

What Saturn does is 'test' what is of value to you and what is working in your life. It wants structure and hard work. If something isn't working--- it may well end--- so something better can be put in it's place.

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

Tr saturn opp my pisces moon, that was a bad one. Actually I can sense many of the things written about tr. saturn opp venus on the web, in regard to what i felt then. Lonely and cold, dumped by a great love. It passed.

Next year I´ll have saturn opp venus and googling around brought me here again I read all the free texts available. The only problem for me is they talk mostly about love problems. I´m not in a romantic relationship now, and doub´t I´ll be in one next year. This summer pluto has made sth to me, and I have opted out love, sex, romance altogheter. First even friendship, but I´m slowly starting to build that up again after months pause.

If saturn hard transit venus kills my friendships again, it´s just karma and I´m getting used by now.

Anyway when I last had saturn square venus I had a hard time economically but it did not bother me as much (cause I liked my job and believed I was going to get a raise, and did). But my then partner left me. We had not been good for a while but this was the final insult. Really cold and lonely. We had spent much time together on a summer holiday. Then we went to a resort and there was his new partner. He lied to me they were not having anything else than friendship but I knew in my heart he lied. After that trip our relationship was over. I was sad and soon got depressed. After all this I cannot really respect the upcoming transit, I´ve already lost everything I love. The plutonian relationship I had the past years was broken already, maybe cause of saturn opp chiron?

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

Saturn opposed my Venus about a year ago. Saturn transited from 3rd in Virgo to my Venus on cusp of 9th. Venus rules my 4th and 11th.
Not only did it call into question the validity of my friendships ~ made me do a cost benefit analysis (never a bad thing...) of them, and how they fit into my big~picture values, but also it created some hardships in my living situation, which made me more inclined to want to spend less time where I was living. A Saturn~Venus transit usually tests validity, authenticity of what's important to you and how you have established a structure in your life to accomodate your values and desires. It does lend a frost when things aren't jiving because it's making us realize if our internal values and external values are cohesive. Look at houses ruled by Venus to see where the audit is carried out.

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

I've read into this transit and found quite a bit of negative things on it. However, I do not think that it necessarily has to be this way.

It depends on what Venus-related issues you may be having at the moment when the transit starts.

Did you have a recent Jupiter transit to your Venus, for example? What happened during it?

Look back to when Saturn formed the conjunction as well as other major aspects to your Venus to help assess what this transit might bring. What were those like?

I'm beginning this transit on this coming Tuesday. It's happening from the 2nd House.

I have Venus at 25d 51m Aries in my 8th House. It rules my 2nd and 9th Houses. Saturn rules my 5th and 6th Houses.

In Spring 1998, Saturn formed the conjunction in the 8th House. During that time, I went to Disney World for the first time during the week of my birthday. I was also really getting into Eurodance (short for European Dance) music and bought a lot of CD's. These are the only key things that I remember about the transit. It was a single exact pass, but later that year, Saturn stationed on my Mercury (ruler of 1st House) as well as my Venus. That year, while at the military academy, my overweight problem (gained weight due to a medication) was brought to my attention. I played JV football that year and lost some automatically.

From August 2002 to April 2003, Saturn formed the sextile from the 10th House. On the first pass, I went to Myrtle Beach for a vacation. Before the trip, I was doing well on my healthy eating plan. However, I went hog wild, but when we got back home, I went right back to the routine and made even more progress. On Thanksgiving of that year, I binged a lot. When the Retrograde pass came, I was diagnosed with ED-NOS and referred to a psychologist. At the end of the last pass, the diagnosis was done away with. However, I was able to save quite a bit of money during this transit.

From September 2004 to June 2005, I had the square from the 11th House. During this period, I went through a period of anhedonia; everything seemed colorless, and I felt emotionally numb at times. On a positive note, however, I began, at the time of the Retrograde pass, to actively lose the weight I gained from some medications I took and Jupiter transit through 1st House, and by the last pass, I got pretty much back to the weight I was at before I took them. Additionally, my car needed a head gasket repair, which wasn't cheap, and I had to save up for it. I got the repair done at the Retrograde pass. Additionally, I bought music CD's and albums to mainly replace ones that were stolen years before.

From November 2006 to July 2007, Saturn formed the trine from the 12th House. By the end of the transit and when Saturn formed the trine to my Mercury, I got to my goal weight (that I had since the time of the sextile). I had better dietary restraint overall during the transit.

As implied above, Venus also rules over sugar (e.g. chocolate, ice cream), extravagances, various pleasures.

Based on the current present, recent months, and how other Saturn/Venus transits have manifested, I have somewhat of an idea as to how this one might manifest.

For much of the year, I have been having a lot of difficulty sticking with a healthy diet. Every time I would start a program, I do well for 3-4 weeks and then a party, social event, or vacation would end up causing the plan to go under (undoing all progress) [more recently, it's been football parties]. Then I would have to start something again. It has been like an ongoing loop. Social and family pressure is a big issue when it comes to eating healthy. Other people will often offer me treats, and I would often have to say No. They even offer me foods that I have been trying to keep out of my diet.

From late April 2011 to mid May 2011, I did a Gluten Free/Low Sugar diet. I did alright on it. However, transit Jupiter conjunct Venus derailed it. This was at the same time as Venus Return. I read that if you aren't cautious and are over indulgent during a time when Jupiter transits a planet (such as Venus), then when Saturn comes around soon after, then reality hits, and it's time to face the music & correct the problem.

I have the biggest problem when I'm at my dad's. He often cooks a lot of food, and I tend to give in while over there. He offers to get me a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream frequently. This may be his Jupiter trine my Venus. Saturn, over this same period, will be in sextile to his Jupiter.

Overall, I think this upcoming transit will be similar in influence to the above other transits. Given it's an opposition, the influence will be stronger. I'm not sure how the nature of it will be affected by Saturn's exalted status in Libra.

Lovely anecdote about Saturn from member mahaira,

There's an interesting thing I read somewhere, which I would never take as a rule as it oversimplifies matters - we can guess where someone's Saturn is placed, broadly speaking, by asking him/her "What do you want (or did want) but don't have?"

Re: Transiting saturn opposite natal venus... Anyone experienced this transit?

Yes, everything one gets to read about saturn hard transits to venus (or moon, sun) is really negative

At least I find it very hard to think positively after reading Liz greene and several free readings on sites. Robert hand is not that disappointing, but he on the otherhand is less exact in his statement. I once had a real bad hit at a relationship with sat square venus. It ended soon after, and it had been a long term one.

In my opionion saturn can destroy any good thing brought by jupiter. Two years ago Jup and sat were moving oppositely at same pace aries/ libra so everybody got both a jupiter transit and a saturn one (except me who has a somewhat odd natal chart).

now jupiter and saturn are about 30 degrees from oppositition so we will get their tranists back and forth with a year or so intervals. Meaning I had jupiter conj venus and about half a yer later saturn opp last year. So the benfits (or rather fun) of jupiter was quite shortlived.

Take note only if Venus aspects Saturn natally. It can mean that practical considerations are opposed to love and relationship and it can mean separation or only partnerships with those for status and public reputation and not for love. It can mean poor timing and not being able to get together.

HOwever without the chart only general comments can be made.

Remember that Saturn is our karma good or bad and we are paying that debt or learning a lesson in order to mature and to be more realistic. Not always easy.
Not everybody is affected by the outer planetary transits in the same way and often not at all if there is no natal connection to be triggered.
Many forget that. We are all different and have different levels of evolvement and will handle things in our own unique way.
Jupiter exaggerates what it touches and brings opportunities. It can be over indulgent, makes false promises and can be irresponsible.

Chiron I am not so sure about, it is not after all a planet but I may use it in support of other aspects.
Venus does deal with more than love, you are right. It is finances, values materiality and partnership. It can mean long term connections and those that are legalised and committed. A transit is only viable if there is the natal promise in the birthchart to be triggered off.
