What my left hand says

Hey cats

I did a leadership and professional development course this year, a few months back. It was quite "broadminded" in nature, and one of the activities was to use your non-dominant hand to draw a picture of your "life" in 5 years time. Most people drew literal, or at least recognisable symbols. What I drew is this

The idea is that the image connects with your subconscious mind (which supposedly played a role in drawing it, given that you used your non-dominant hand!) Originally when I drew mine, I felt a bit silly that everyone else had something recognisable but as I got talking about mine to other people, I became more and more happy with it. I was looking at it this morning, and realised one MORE thing that it looks like. It looks like a big, vibrating, happy, excited planet! How have I only just seen that??

What do you think? What symbology strikes you when you see my left handed texta art?

Re: What my left hand says

Well Howl..

Thanks for that reminding us of the left 'handedness' of life.. the supposedly evil side.. ha ha ha.. which fundamentalist crusader came up with that one.. anyway..

Art is a very interesting tool to see what is revealed by the uncoscious dimension of ourselves & even from 'the others' perhaps.. on the other side of this life.. it's funny as I was thinking of what to say here in response to your picture as I was listening to Smashing Pumpkins.. 'Stand Inside Your Love'.. oh yeah that's a good reminder to be 'ourselves'.. listen to ourselves.. our intuitive creative Self.. also alowing time to connect with others of a like mind etc etc.. entering the world of the poet.. the artist.. the child...

I occasionally do a few drawings to see what my imagination wants to tell me.. or am just drawn into the archetypal world of imagery.. delving into the non-logical side of my mind.. the psyche even.. also I seem to like taking pictures of strange things or even just ordinary things when I'm walking around & or travelling(9th House Moon conj Aqu MC.. Mercury trine Uranus).. strange because these images.. or archetypes seem to speak to me just in that very moment.. to my pscyhe.. my Soul.. so I like those little magic moments when I am pulled out of 'ordinary reality' & am plugged into something deeply mysterious within life & within myself.. not just my rational mind.. but into that mysterious & seemingly boundless world of the imagination...

Oh yes & when anything important like this happens.. like drawing a special picture.. taking a photo etc.. I look at my chart for that moment to see what is symbolised or highlighted for me too.. ah yes very enlightening I find.. So what transits did you have to your natal & prog charts when you drew this image.. just for further information on what the astrology of it all says to you also...

In the spirit of adventure & Self discovery.. thanks for sharing your picture...

Re: What my left hand says

wow, what a great project.....apparently my father was ampidextrous(spelling?)....he died, but apparently he could do calligraphy with both his hands.... its always fascinated me..I was left handed, but was coverted whilst at catholic school....(cast that devil away!!!!!!!)

In your picture i see a shining, gleaming sun. A planet shining aswell. An eye. earth, air and water (and fire being the sun). I see a symbol of duality....(the red and the blue of the sun rays) ............great picture.....it says lots!

Re: What my left hand says

I see a creative mind and lots of giving and receiving in this person. I see hurt in the form of verbal now sitting in the subconscious and emotional anger which needs an outlet, to be released.
Irratic energy and lots of imaginative intellectual spark. Logical mind. Person likes everything to be in order and aesethically beautiful. Energy is spiralling and irractic within.

I see consciousness of this anger and pain, through spiritual growth.
It's blocking true creative expression though.

I see positivity resulting from it all though and lots of love to give once the energy is flowing again and l see healing ability.

Peace, Moulin

I see someone with the ability to visualize with the Mind's Eye. When one focuses on a question or goal it shuts of the external world and awakens memories, daydreams even future events. This energy is magnetically drawn toward the Eye, creating a new life current that flows through our entire being.

Great picture Howl!
First thing I thought was a world, or an eye was second the more I looked....but first glance....really 3D, like a world surrounded by planetary energies...all swirling within and without.....
