Will the Dead Rise?
21 Oct 2006 1:02pm Tripoli GRC
Chart is nonradical for 2 reasons: The ascendant is 2 deg Capri and also the moon is 19 Libra. Soooooo....not really reliable. BUT as this is a decoding excercise I will interpret even though I wont be believable.
I use this as a THIRD party question, as I am not dead yet. Therefore I ask the question on behalf of the dead. Therefore the house ruling the dead is the 8th. Saturn is in it. Leo and the SUN signifies the querent (the dead), the sun is in the 10th house. OK now the problem is how do we represent their rise. Here I use two methods. First the standard 6th house (health) as a first try. Moving six houses from LEO (8th house) we land into the 1st house Capri. The rise of the dead in this interpretation is given by the relation of Saturn and SUN. They are in sextile a good aspect, hence the dead will rise. Note Spica is on the sun!
Second way of decoding: The dead is represented by the SUN as above, but the rise of the dead maybe interpreted by the opposite house of the 8th, the 2nd house. Second house (anti-death) is Aquarius and represented also by Saturn. Saturn as above sextile with sun so.....dead will rise. Well it has been prophesised too!
When will it happen? Well not really fair when the chart is non radical...BUT...lets try it. Moon is in cardinal sign and cadent house for time in months. 8 months it says but I prefer 8 years as it is too soon and some other things have not happened yet. So 8 years brings us to 2014! Hurry up! Time is up!
EDIT: In order to avoid confusion this question is to do with religion belief that when Jesus's Second Coming takes place the dead will rise to be Judged....

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Oh, come on! you were joking on the dead being resurrected within 8 years, right? (the world is already overcrowded)
Now, really, what was exactly in your mind when you asked the question. I suppose you were referring to some religious belief on afterlife. Please ellaborate so that we might understand the specific background of this question.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Smiles: Radu, Dont panic as you are right we do not have enough rice to feed the dead when they rise. It is clearly a religious question. I am sure some of you have read John's Apocalypse where a description of the the Second coming takes place, and the dead will rise so as everybody dead and alive be judged. Clearly trivial earthly needs such as food is hardly what is at stake here. This was in my mind when the question took place. Actually the question followed that of a previous poster in here about sleep and death. Hope this helps, BUT dont forget the chart is non radical and an excercise of decoding....

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Oh yes that's an interesting question...
Yes.. indeed.. yes depending on what you believe.. since many understand that the so-called 'dead' have never left us anyway.. ever been to a Spiritalist Church.. but are all living right here all around us all the time etc.. ie. the spirit dimension etc.. & all that written nonsense about death.. what is literal & what is symbolic anyway.. I think there's been so much fear peddled in the name of religion(control of the masses) etc it's all an illusion.. perhaps the 'risen thing' is refering to ignorance being overcome by the greater reality of life & death as we have generally known it.. the greatest sin is the lie of death.. & the only real 'judgement' is us upon ourselves & our fellow man.. we all being both animal & devine as we are.. So anyway...

Interesting points...I think any question as this one in Horary Astro is relevant only to those who ASK the question and clearly when this is of concern to them. It is advisable to ask questions only when it is of concern in my opinion. So a non Christian or certain religious brances for example may not be concerned hence they do not ask or it is irrelevant to them if they do not believe in death etc. . Such questions unfortunately cannot be verified anyway, not before the event if it happens and in which case the implications.
It is not therefore the purpose to convince someone here that it will happen or instill fear of implications.
To me it is interesting because it is a decoding excercise first, and as such it is of great interest, as we can see how people approach and handle the decoding of such issues, rather than some other motive.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
hmmm.....I do try to stay away from these kinds of questions but this seems to me to be a belief tpye of thing. Seldom do I get the chance to really say what I believe but here goes. If my post is inappropriate for this thread, Moderator, please feel free to delete it.
I belive the dead will rise one day when the Lord is ready. Food will not be a problem because it will not be necessary at that time. I belive there will be a rapture. The Lord will take unto him those that belong/believe in him. I believe after that the world will see suffering it has never know or could imagine.
Call me nieve because I can't tell u where God is going to put all the people on earth he is saving when he makes earth new. I imagine many will go to **** and be separated from God.
If you don't agrre with this its fine, just don't write anything bad. My only hope is that there is God. If there were not, what hope would there be for the world.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
I agree with kaybug. I personally do not believe in a bad place, I think we do that to ourselves here. I could be way way off though. I do believe that the risen Christ, and this is his day people, WILL come for us and I do believe the bit about rapture. The stars fall down from the skies etc...no idea what is going to make this happen but I do honestly think we should believe the word and live as best we can and not worry about it. Dates matter not as time is eternal, what is a year to us is a flick of an eyelid to God.
Have fun while we are here, be good, be kind and don't worry..

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Hmm, the querent is you, Adonis. And you are signified by Saturn in the 8th. You are asking a question about the dead. That's pretty descriptive, I think.
The Sun in the 10th, not so far from the MC, seems like a yes, the dead will rise.
I actually find it interesting that all the traditional planets are above the horizon. You know what's also funny? IF we assign the 10th house to God or any equivalent you believe in, we'll have to assign the 4th to Satan or the equivalent you believe in.
Now the Sun is stuck between Venus (ruler of 10th) and Mars (ruler of 4th). Seems to me that there's pretty place and and ugly place.
Actually, you could ignore me completely. I could very well be reading into the chart driven by my Orthodox Christian faith.
Cool question though.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Sorehearted...no its interesting...If the 10th is the house of God, The sun is mutual with Saturn in 8th. If 8th is the house of death then the Sun will visit it to bring them back...
Note if Moon is the people they are via combusta. I.e. the society is getting worse.
AndMars ruler of 4th is detrimented.
(I am Christian Orthodox too)

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Actually, I was using the Sun to signify the dead, as the cusp of the 8th is in Leo. I figured the dead were between God and Satan in a way. O merely used the position though. I dont's think aspects are the way to go on this horary.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
What I find interesting is how many people here take the Christian dogma as gospel, no pun intended.
This is a rethorical question: how many of you guys into Christianity have studied religious and political history, coupled with studies of other religions?
(The reason for my question is that the narrow mindset of Christianity actually scares me.)

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
The dead stays dead: flesh and bones, their spirits have always been in our realm just that we don't see it. Only those of the upper realms, may return to earth.

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
The death of the body stays dead, but our souls never die....
If anyone has ever seen a dead body or seen a person die, the body looks like a lifeless (well clearly) nothing...the person, uniqueness of the human spirit is gone...
Agree Adonis,
I dont think that this question is wierd, or unusual....very neat and interesting....
In the book of revelations the tribulation period is seven years,
I have been told by many Christians that we are on the cusp (no pun intended) of heading into this period, or some believe we are already in this period....I however believe that this period before tribulations is to test us and make us believe before we have to go into the tribulation period...(I do believe in the rapture, or something similiar)
so 8 years would be interesting...
I think the venus mars plight is showing the fight between good/bad; wrong/right....
I think that this post is really about christianity and the belief in the revelation period, where we are all judged accordingly at the same time...
Dead people not to literally come out of the graves, but on a figuritive note...
My spelling *****, however I think that death rising, means that death rising to life, if we are in the book of life...
However, I still believe a little about past lives, and other religious things that most christians would not. I thi

Re: Will the Dead Rise?
Adonis- Great question! I love it!
In Christianity the trials and tribulation period lasts seven years. I have heard from many christians that this time we are in now is to give us a taste of how bad the period will be, and is the time to urge us to live right according to the law of christianity.
So 8 years would be so very interesting!
I think that the plight between mars and venus, is to show the ugliness between good/bad; right/wrong; evil/heavenly...
I think Adonis posted this (correct me if I am totally off) to ask about when the period of the tribulations will take place and when the second coming of Jesus Christ will take place...
I think that we go through tribulations for seven fun years and then all are judged accordingly to the book of life...
The dead are judged and the living are judged, to see if we are to get eternal life.....dead rising, to me means dead rising to see eternal life....I dont think that this world is really about living, than it is to learn lessons to become a better soul...
Now I also belive in many different religions and love incorporating them into my belief system....which no one belief is right to all, but right to the individual expressing their views.....
So we must all be sensitive to those that have differing beliefs and maybe even ask about them, as to learn about something so close to someone as religion, one can really open their mind-set/paradigm.

I see your point of view. I actually agree. A major failing of organized religion is how its authorities can enforce harsh rules simply to exercize control over people. This is not a Christian problem though, its a universal one that applies to all kinds of organizations.
That's all I can say right now since this isn't exactly the topic of the thread, but I would be more than glad to continue this discussion with you over pm if you'd like.

Maybe because most faiths promote the notion of some sort of Heaven and Hell after death.

Imagine if banks said you'd only get your saved money after you died.
Would that work?

Another way of looking at this question raise at the heading of this thread is using Electional Astrology. I wonder if there are dates which are 'describing' the raising of the dead!

This entire thread is strange. Religion is well known as massively flawed, corrupt, and a means of controlling the masses.......
