What signs/placements make someone look good in pics?

Well,I was inspired to make this thread cause for some reason I look awful in pics other people take.I only look good in pics I take myself maybe cause I know best how to stand for a photo,and usually I feel that pics don't dome justice.

Anyway,I also know people who naturally take good pics and look just fine,even better in photos than real life.

So what signs/placements/aspects in the natal chart can make one more photogenic than others?And what placements/signs can make one look less attractive in photos than in real life?

haha! Well, it isn't MY placements that is for sure! I look bad in pics too.

Remember though, people who look great in pics often don't look all that great in real life. I would rather be real life cute than pic cute - which I am.

I read that alot of Sag Risings are models soooo...I think it might be that face shape and bone structure - obviously first house stuff.

Well, I have lots of Neptune in my first house and I think it is difficult to photograph that. Other-wordliness can not be photographed well. Charisma/aura/intensity (my Scorpio Rising) can not be photographed.

So you have to wonder if those that do not photo well have more dimensions than those that can but may not represent to well in real life. Since photos are all about 2d images and we see in 3D - well, I would rather be more 3D IRL than 2D myself. 2D seems flat and boring.

I am wondering about the Sag rising because they tend to have slimmer longer faces - so if the camara adds 10 pounds you won't always see in their faces as much.

Well,I have Neptune in first house too.But I can only look good in pics that are taken by my hand.Lol,most people can't take good photos,XDD.That must be it after all,hahah.

LOL! It is opposite for me. I try to take a digital picture of myself and even though I am thin as a rail I look like poufy marshmellow in my face. Ugh. Unless I take the pic through a mirror (take the mirror image of me). Mirrors like me. I really think Neptuney features are not photogenic is all. But we look cool in person. Funny as regular film pics of me turn out better than digital - digital is not made to capture all our otherworldly charisma.

I agree that most people suck at picture taking.

Mine is in Capricorn in my first house.
Yeah,only few have the talent to take pretty pics.Don't wanna boast about it but I do think I take at least okayish pics,of both me and others.

Funny thing is that I feel the digital is kinda bad.Sure quality may look good,but it shows me uglier than in reality.It shows way too much details and makes them stand out,even bad ones.So yeah,haha.Maybe it's the lighting I dunno.I don't have digital.
Mobile pics also don't do me justice,except if I take those myself again.(yes I do look like me).I wonder how some people can make themselves look so different in pictures that you cannot recognize them...

I think I take pretty good pic too compared to others - We Neptuney peeps get a feeling for what will look good I think. I can just point and shoot and come up with an awesome pic (unless it is of my face! )

Actually you are correct. What makes a face photogenic has a lot to do with lighting and things like bone structure and skin color - some types photo better than others. But than what do you expect from a 2D image? It won't capture everything that is worth much. I was always wondering why I looked so icky in photos (although some people tell me I take good pics - I than tell them they need some glasses! LOL!) but I look doubly better in person and often send it was because of the 'aura' I give off. Then I read this article on Wikipedia and now I understand. IMO, still better to look better in person than in photo.

Woah,interesting article.Personally I use webcam for the time being and when it's day,cause the light of the sun is way better than any other light,and usually room lighting causes many shadows etc.If you get me.I remember I once took pics and my nose looked bigger due to the shadow,or eyes looked more deep set.It also helps to look better in the picture if you're in a good mental state.I've noticed that when I am happy and refreshed I look good.While when I am kinda tired,or being staying too much in the computer screen I look...weird.Lol,got too much into this,maybe I should become a photographer...or at least try it,haha.
In the last case I mentioned,I have proof of it.It can totally make you look differnt.I have pics of me that have been taken when I was kinda tired and in one that I was happy actually.It's a big difference,in the eyes,the brows,it shows.So yeah,don't take pics when you're not feeling good,they will suck most of the time.

I'm very much like this myself, my Neptune is also in Capricorn but in the 8th.

I know which angle and how much lighting i need to highlight my jawline, make my skin look more tan then it is, and the right distance so any marks or whatnot don't showup in detail.

I practice amatuer photography in my free time, and one thing i never use is the flash on my camera, unless i absoloutley need too.. because it takes away from the natural lighting of the picture and highlights 'unessecary' detail in the photo. You also have to weigh up proportions with the persons height and width in relation to the background and any objects they may be near.

Im inclined to agree with Bittermoon, it has alot to do with the photographer.. most people just point and click, so obviously people can showup as out of proportion, too bright or dark. Especially photo's that have been taken with a flash, since it can virtually remove all shadow from the person's face and body, and it's the shadow which gives definition to the person's features.

Ever notice how some people just 'look good' with a beard or stuble, and when clean shaven they look unusual.. because that facial hair may be giving definition to a lacking jawline or a whiter face.

For portraits I almost always use a tiny bit of bounced flash. Never use the flash that's built into the camera!

Unrelated to photography, I have noticed that a lot of people with Venus on the AC are not necessarily photomodel beautiful (if you like that standardized kind of look) but definitely have something charming about them.

I have noticed that sagittarius, gemini, virgo, and pisces rising.... I think aquarius rising too.
also jupiter, neptune, and mercury in the 1st, or aspecting the ascendant.

Pisces rising---- beautiful big eyes, with much eyelashes, nice hair, long face.
Gemini rising---- beautiful elongated eyes with nice color, straight and thin nose, and angular chin.
Virgo rising---- thin face, nice teeth, defined and delicate face features, vibrant eyes.
Sagittarius rising---- very big smiles, nice teeth, long faces and charming eyes.
Aquarius rising---- Angular face, remarked cheek bones, deep eyes--> (different than scorpio), natural colored lips....

This are the rising signs that I consider nice..... but aquarius rising is my favorite....beautiful and unusual features.... poker face LOL

Aquarius rising (Uranus in the 1st) make very angular faces... What photographers like the most!

I feel it's a great pity that we don't know what Katherine Heigl of Grey's Anatomy's birth time is. That woman looks good in any picture (accept when she's a bit overweight). Methinks it's that Sagittarius that gives her that natural glow and sparkle.

Some people say I'm photogenic, but I'm never happy with my pictures. I've got north node conjunct my ascendant, Venus and the Sun opposite my ascendant.

I have a lot of people tell me I'm photogenic. I'm sagitarius with capricorn moon and taurus rising . I also have neptune in capricorn in 8th house like laza. I have a lot of sagitarius in my chart and I have 3 planets in capricorn which could have a tie to bone structure in pictures.
