I will share a method to calculate time in SR.

Well

I will like to share a way to calculate time in the Solar Return.
It took me hours, but I think is an easy way to calculate the time of meeting new persons.
I did it according to the men I dated in the last 3 years.

It consist: In counting the degrees that are separating the rulers of the 7th and 1st houses, from the right to the left.

that is interesting! thanks for sharing your findings

I was wondering how exactly you calculated the degrees from the moon to saturn- because i would like to try this, but can't seem to figure out how you got 8 degrees ? i got 13-4 = 9 degrees...maybe i did it wrong though

If you could let me know- thanks

Look..
imagine that the degrees are days... and each month has 30-31 days, February sometimes has 28.... So I give a spam of 15 days for a meeting.

Ok... If you start counting the degrees from Saturn to the Moon, it will give you like 8th months of separation.
You start counting to less to more: If Saturn is in the 2nd I start counting from that house.
If Saturn were in the 7th, I will start counting from the 7th.

Start counting from the planet that is in a house of less numbers to the planet that is in a house of a greater number.

If Moon were in the 1st and Saturn in the 12th, I will start counting from the 1st and it will give me December.

Interesting and creative approach. A similar counting system (for time) is found in jyotish (Vedic) astrology and is applied to determine various periods of time between certain life events.

Re: I will share a method to calculate time in SR.

Virgo18 has made an important point about astrology: It is all about timing. This is usually neglected now in astrology except to identify some random transit to a chart. However, the traditional method is to assign time values to the signs and degrees (years, months, days) and then count around the chart looking for significators or aspects to this migration. This will predict actual events. Once mastered it gives astonishing results. This method can be used with most any kind of chart: horary, electional, mundane, solar return, day-for-a-year progression and natal.

In the past when I used this method to delineate some chart on this board, other posters have critized it as too symbolic. But all astrology charts are symbolic: they are the map not the territory. Nevertheless maps are indispensible when traveling whether through space or time.

Re: I will share a method to calculate time in SR.

I agree completely with all of Culpeper's comments. In horary I use the Al-Biruni derived zodiacal time-frame parameters, and of course in profection I use the 1 year/1 sign modality. I also use a Modernist method for the Point of Life (which advances 1 sign every 7 years: about 4.28 degrees per year, which pretty much coincides with the Uranus cycle) And in simple symbolic progression I use 1 degree per 1 year. Sometimes I count by degrees, but here I follow certain Jaimini (Vedica astrology) techniques which have a similarity to what Virgo18 has discovered on her own!

I like the idea a lot, but I just tested it for myself and only 1 out of 4 was sort of accurate.

Thanks so much virgo18. it really is helpful. I never understood what degrees meant, I am yet to know more...since still a beginner but as a first lesson it is very helpful. I would have had to go through several websites and readings to figure this out; what I did through your post. thanks!
