Astrology & palmistry connections
Whether astrology & palmistry has any connections? What major things in cart can be seen on hands?.
================================================== =========================
Palmistry, Natal Astrology and Horary Astrology in India extensively for telling future together as well as independently. Hope at other places too.
All systems have their strengths and weaknesses. Mass deaths like from earthquake are not mapped in palm.
As an example, most important things from "life line" are general health, sickness when, changes, rise and fall in life, confinement, obstruction, etc. They are in time frame.
Astrology, whether natal or horary from any system Western or Indian can provide similar information in time frame.
Comparing with different system is like adding another dimension for better analysis. Like seeing a movie in 3D or even 4D instead of 2D.

Re: Astrology & palmistry connections
I absolutely accept the concept of an intimate relationship between astrology and the expression of the Cosmos in the human hand. Among the Jaimini adepts of Ponmudi forest (Kerala, India) I witnessed really amazing results of hand readings followed by comparison with (Vedic) natal maps: the consistency of the hand reading with the natal map (which had not been seen prior to the palm reading) was almost identical, down to very small details.
But I myself never mastered palmistry (I went toward Tarot instead) and so I cannot testify from my own experience, since I myself have never practiced the chiromantic art.
A very fine article on the Western chiromantic tradition may be found on skyscript.com in the "articles" section, entitled "Made in the Image of the Heavens", by Dylan Warren-Davis.
Mr. Warren-Davis book, "The Hand Reveals: the Western tradition of Hand-reading" I consider to be the best modern book on this subject.

Re: Astrology & palmistry connections
There was a famed mystic called Cheiro, who had many names. He wrote a book on numerology, two on astrology, and five on palmistry. He studied in India and later found notoriety in the West, beginning as a palmist. There is a link below to a Wikipedia page pertaining to him, including a book list at the bottom.

Re: Astrology & palmistry connections
I remember that each of the fingers is a planet, ie. pinky is mercury, middle finger jupiter etc....(forgive me if I've got the specifics mixed up)....either the index or ring finger is saturn, can't recall.

The index finger is Jupiter, middle is Saturn, ring finger is Apollo/Sun and pinkie finger is Mercury. And then you have the mounts - around the thumb is Mars and Venus, and on the outside of the palm is the Moon.

Re: Astrology & palmistry connections
If astrology is some universal principle/phenomena then it only makes sense that your hand should mirror your natal chart. And interesting thing is that I have a well placed Jupiter (by virtue of hellenistic teachings), my Jupiter line is also augmented and goes up to the Jupiter mount. Another interesting thing too is my sun line has a star at the top of it, and the Sun in my natal chart sextiles my midheaven.
