Continuance of military service?
I'm serving a two year mandatory service in the Israeli army. Due to a nerve injury in my hand, I will no longer continue my current post in the intelligence field.
I've been offered to be a commander / prefoessional instructor to tutor new soldiers to do the job. It's 4 months, closed base and I go home twice a month. I'm not sure because maybe I should take the time to heal... but on the other hand, being a commander could be a great experiance.
My question is: Should I take the commanding post?
Question asked: 27th September 2006, 14:15, Ramat Gan, Israel.

Hey. The Moon is at 28* meaning it's VOC, too late in its sign to be interpreted. Whatever has happened, nothing has changed. The answer is status quo. That is, if you've ALREADY taken the job it may be a good idea to continue with it (status quo), but if your original thought was to let your hand injury heal, then I think you should absolutely go with this. I personally think it's best to let an injury heal prior to doing anything significant myself.
Edit: And on the side factor, the Moon is co-significator of you and the question, it is squaring Saturn, that is your significator. Square is a negative aspect. Saturn (you) is in the 8th house of Scorpio standing for taxes, inheritance, death, and rebirth. I strongly suggest you take it easy.

I was thinking against taking it... I'm not too well physically.
But what about the heavy 9th house? doesn't that stand for learning and academics and such? seems appropriate...

It's filled because you're focused upon the subject, it doesn't necessarily mean anything beyond that. Many times people will have a full 7th house when regarding a relationship question.
First of all, the Sun is in Libra, the Sun's fall sign. Secondly, Mars is in Libra, it's detriment sign. None of these favor the real outcome you want. Furthermore, the Sun makes a semisquare to both Jupiter the planet of luck and expansion and Saturn, the planet of harsh realizations, fate, limitations, and responsibility. Venus squares Pluto, the planet of death, and Mars quincunxes Uranus, the planet of NERVOUS issues and surprise events.
I am in the military too. If you know it's a tough deal and you feel you should take your time recovering then do it. This chart is obviously telling you to do that.
Neptune (illusion, delusion, deception) is retrograde (moving backward under observation and weakening its positive power) in the 2nd house of value and finances. It's moving into the 1st house, your house, or the house of the ascendant symbolizing the significator of the question. When that planet, having that effect, moves into your 1st house it shows that you're having some pretty illusions about "things" and possibly even issues related to the 2nd house (value and finances, value may even strangely enough be related to a love issue because your 9th house has Libra intercepted into it. Libra is ruled by Venus)
Your 6th house ruler for health purposes is Gemini ruled by Mercury. Mercury makes all positive aspects except to the ascendant, YOUR significator
Opportunity is opportunity, but you may be asking about a deal that has detrimental consequences. I don't believe this opportunity is something you should grasp upon because the consequences don't look good. I also don't believe this opportunity is bigger than your recovery. It's up to you now. Good luck and choose wisely.

Re: Continuance of military service?
The Moon is VOC. If you take the post, nothing will come out of it. Nothing here doesn't mean nothing at all, after all it would be a different experience. It simply means that it won't be worth the pain/effort, especially that you need to heal. The bad status of the ruler of the 1st house, Saturn in both essentil and accidental debility, shows your health to be in fragile state, too fragile to make it worth the risk.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
