Wedding Chart for my mother & friend

My mom is getting married for a 2nd time, to a fabulous
man I used to work with.

They picked this date at random (Shows how much they faith they have in me! *hmph* LoL).

Cool how it has a Venus/Sun conj. that day.
Both have strong Scorpio/Mars in their natal charts.
They can not have kids- so 5th ruler Moon in Cap doesn't seem
so bad.
Their Sun's are within 3 degrees of the eclipse Oct. 7th.

What do you think?
Should I advise them on another day/time ?

Venus is cazimi though, giving her a little strenght in the dreaded Scorpio. Yet in the 8th house doesn't do much.
The Moon is waxing (good) but weak in Capricorn, with good aspects.
The ASC and DSC rulers separating from a conjunction (bad).
Just two days before the retrograde station of Mercury = too close (bad).
Uranus rising.

Having the wedding set for a later date will only mean to have fully Rx Mercury in the chart. Having the chart set for an earlier date in October would represent a too soft chart for them? Sun, Venus and Mars in Libra, how soft is that?
How does October 14 at 5:30 pm sound? Mercury and Jupiter - ASC and DSC ruler applying to conjunction (Mercury has to perform the square with Neptune first). Mars combust but at least conjunct Arcturus. Pluto culminating - to give their Scorpio side a minor satisfaction.

Ok, so what if they just get a justice of peace/court marriage
on Oct. 14th?

Then the actually pomp and circumstance can happen on
the original date, since it would be very hard to reschedule.


Is Merc Rx really Ok? I mean it's a second marriage for both of them.

Even if it's a second marrriage, Mercury Rx doesn't seem right to me. I mean communication is important. This is what Mercury does, and my one year experience in marriage already points out how important that is.
Venus Rx would be okay for a second marriage with the same person - Liz Tayler style, since Venus is lady of marriage, and Rx means going the same path. Marrying another person isn't quite the same path.

However, these considerents are secondary - because their hearts know better. I am particullary fond of Magi Astrology teachings on the importance of Chiron in a first meeting and ina marriage chart, which is of importance in electional astrology. So try to give this approach a try, see if you can have a nice aspects between transiting planets (particulary the Sun and Venus) and natal Chiron of both on a certain day, since transiting Chiron is moving so slow.
