Friend's chart
Hello I met this lovely girl recently through an assignment abroad. She is into psychic stuff and was curious about her chart. Now that i have made some notes, somehow I don't feel very confident I will give her a lot to go by. She knows am posting. Would you please share your opinions?
I will post bit by bit and before I manage to find out to post a chart again here is her data:
9 October 1984 at 06:07 in Hastings UK.
She has Cardinal angles showing a person who takes the initiative, is ambitious, a doer, someone with leadership qualities that deals well with crisis.
A 1st house Libra Sun Mercury with a full moon across 1/7 axis. I think this shows how she swings between wanting to please herself and please others. She is charming and assertive but may not know which decision to take in relationships.
MC ruler in 7th cj PoF, she works well in partnerships and female at work could benefit her. This trines Uranus h3, good for writing, communicating, use of computers and internet. The square to Mars Jupiter at the IC could show problems with family and siblings, perhaps they don't like her associations or career choices.
More to come, Spica

Re: Friend's chart
Is her chart considered a bucket one?
3 planets in h2 showing how money and values are important to her. Ruler h3 in h2 again showing an income via communications.
Gem/Sag intercepted in 3/9, what could that be?
Interesting the NN ch h9 is at a critical degree 29 Taurus, does this mean she needs to develop Taurean talents or goto Gem due to 29 degree? Ruler in h2, think once she ripes the Taurean talents she could make a living of it, this could be around art, nature, law, foreign lands or even properties/family involvement with Venus cj IC ruler.
At some point, she will receive an inheritance as Mars h8 ruler and cj IC sextiles Pluto h2, perhaps rather large.

Re: Friend's chart
Hi Spica!
I'll just add a few things as I'm on my way out.
The sole depositor (modern) is Pluto in Scorpio. Pretty powerful looking.
Pluto is trine her MC and is in her 2nd house. This could relate to her career. I would imaging that gives her an intense need to explore the depths, gives her an interest in metaphysical, psychology, psychic things. Perhaps she can use this intuition in her career too, MC in water and in Cancer. Somehow maybe she can nurture others (Moon in 7th house conjunct Lilith).
Lilith also involved with Pluto by quincunx. I think this adds to her need to explore the depths, with the help of others (7th). Her emotions are quite deep as well being next to Lilith, and this is linked with her career or the vocation she can do.
She has the Jupiter sextile Pluto, this looks like a good money aspect especially with Pluto in the 2nd house. She is likely to make money if she chooses a Pluto/Cancer related career.
I imaging she is quite appealing in her appearance, Libra rising, Libra Sun in the 1st house conjunct Mercury. Maybe she likes to communicate in a nice, balanced way
Sun/Uranus = Venus/Saturn. Meaning I think Venus/Sat is midpoint of Sun and Uranus/Node.

Neptune!
Thank god you are here to open my eyes on that Pluto! I won't change career just yet
Nice ideas around career, do you think communication could also come in the equation with Pluto ruling 3rd? Pluto would also rules other people's resources and what is funny is that we work in financial services. Maybe she has a gift with making money, investing as well. if a change of career is needed then it may happen around now as she has SA MC square Pluto and transiting Pluto on IC and she just had a sextile to natal Pluto. It will be interesting to share all this and hear her thoughts, I will update the thread
Yes she expresses herself in a nice and pleasant manner, talks a lot and is pretty. When I saw all the Scorpio, I thought how interesting there is more than meet the eye. Strange her progressed h11 ruler is exactly on my AC and we met when her prog Moon h6 trined my MC ruler in the 9th...
What would the midpoints you refer to mean? Do you also look at midpoints from which house they fall into? I wonder if it matters.
Her progressed AC is almost on Spica
Thank you for your help NR, great food for thoughts!!
ps just remembered she used to do tarot a lot then stopped altogether. Would you put this with the Pluto/Cancer for career?

Re: Friend's chart
Haha, this is why I don't like natal so much, because it's all over the place. You are asking about a general persona ? Or just anything I notice? I really prefer to focus on one thing at a time.
I will just go with what I notice right away; and so you know I look at the chart in whole sign.
Relationships:
With part of fortune in the 7th, she will benefit greatly from the men/partnerships in her life, though likely to be under their thumb with her chart ruler Venus submitting to Mars. Her husband will be a person of elevated status and prominent career. Her lord of fortune is strong and this girl could be a powerful and wealthy (Mars is 10th from fortune, & Mars is present with Jupiter) person one day, and this all most likely through her husband/partnerships. Men are still likely to be an obstacle in her life, Moon opposes the Sun and squares Mars, and is ruled by Mars; Venus is conjunct Saturn in detriment in Scorpio which promises difficulties in relationships. Perhaps her mother has also had difficulties with men.
That's all for now. I'm interested to what you have to say to this Spica and then I'll probably give more.

Her chart ruler in Scorpio could give a natural interest in the occult.

Re: Friend's chart
Her chart ruler is Venus in Scorpio sign of the mysterious, hidden and metaphysical, life after death so on.....She also has her 8th house of those matters ruler Mars conjunct Neptune in 3rd and can study and buy books on those subjects. Her Uranus in also in the third of study and teaching and general communications such as short trips, and the local neighbourhood. It is the planet of astrological science and new age technologies in general. It is trine her Moon in the 7th of consultants, one on one encounters and dealing with general public.
This is the chart of someone involved in airline industry perhaps. She could eventually teach the esoteric subjects and that of the forbidden or taboo or write on the subjects.....Moon in the 7th lends more to female long term partners such as best friends, or a business partnership which she could do well with.......

bowel-bucket, to Spica
Spica,
You said:

Per your PM:
Yes, I would consider it a bowel-bucket, since the (home, also emotions) looks like it is separated from the rest of the planets (bucket) while there is an with all the planets on one side of it (bowel). So she "picks up things" with her emotions (bucket) and needs to "fill up" on outer world things in her life (bowel, with the "empty" part in the top (outer world) part of her chart).
Having it both ways,
Tim

Hi Spica
Looking at the chart you posted, Fortuna is conjunct Moon in the 7th. Moon ruling the 10th house of career. It does look like her spiritual and material luck comes from her contacts with women too, being in the 7th house. Interesting square to MC also, there is alot of emotional involvement in her career, maybe her emotions effect the sucess of her career.
Juptier is also square her Moon from the 4th house, maybe makes her too giving at times, or very emotional. Jupiter is involved with the Neptune/Mars conjunction at the 4th house too. I think this relates to her mother, maybe she was too giving or self sacrificing, and maybe angry as a result or passive aggressive, so I wonder if emotionally she has a hint of that energy... (sorry if I'm wrong there). She may be self sacrificing which is at odds with her emotions and her soul, Mars/Nep t-square Moon/Sun. Emotionally she needs to win, to be first with Moon in Aries, but it's in the 7th house so she puts other's needs first. This at conflict with her 1st house Sun need to shine.
Uranus is trine her Moon, this gives her intuitive abilities and sudden flashes of insight. Makes her kind of fresh emotionally. It could be good for studying the tarot, any kind of metaphysical thing.
Was father absent with Moon opposite Sun? Both forming t-square to Nep trio?
Jupiter in Cap opposite the MC, and square to her Moon. Would her career involve teaching, law, spiritual teaching as the Nep is opp MC too? Your friend is very ambitious and has the necessary drive to succeed.
Actuallly I'm not sure women would be a help (Moon/Fortuna in the 7th) or a hinderance (square MC) to her career...

Re: Friend's chart
Thank you ALL for your inputs, I love how you all picked up on something different in the chart, very useful to give her a broad outlook
Ray, you picked on what caught your eyes and it's super . I did wonder about men in her life because her b/f works in my team so I could be biaised. He is (to me) a very quiet guy, silent type who works very hard, very smart, recently promoted in the team. He can analyse millions of data for weeks and never seems bored in fact he seems to love it. He is or at least used to play in a band. All this shows in the Mars Cap cj Neptune. He is a Pisces if I remember well.
Now for who wears the trouser in that relationships, I have no idea but will gage on Thursday as we go on if I can ask such personal question but I will ask her if in general her relations have been difficult. What I would like to add for her is a way of making the most of it so what would you recommend her to do with this Mars in her relations?
What is interesting is when I first took a quick pick at her charts weeks ago when we were abroad and seeing t Sat Pluto activating her angles, I asked her if her life had been a bit of a mess recently across home, relations and work such as problems going on. She said no then she said yes . Particularly she said "I have been a pain to b/f and I often do that" and that fits with t Pluto on her Mars and perhaps the Scorpio/cardinal for creating a crisis when there isn't one. I have been reading SN Scorpio for a day and it says they come from a place where they used crisis to make them feel alive but this life time they are asked to be more serene in relationships such as Taurus, in a nutshell.
Also to note, her NN is trine AC/Dc so ultimatly it seems she will grow and learn from the Mars activity, what do you think?
Also Mars rules known ennemies and wonder if she could have ennemies in the family?
I see your point about Venus Saturn but if I may disagree I don't feel that it is such a bad thing as Venus is well placed in the 2nd, seems to neutralise the Scorpio detriment. I think it could indicate how serious she is in her relations, wants commitment and thinks seriously about what makes her happy, perhaps this is a trait she inherited from one of the parents.
What do you think of her 5th? I wonder if Uranus intercepted could mean she doesn't want or can't have children.
Your thoughts fro a penny

Claire thank you for joining the discussion and adding useful insights .
I believe she is a team leader in financial services but it is great to be able to suggest other careers where she could shine. Who knows what the future could bring, sometimes we make a 360 degree turn later in life!! I will definitly ask her more around the metaphysical and what made her giving it up. Something must have happened for her to stop out of the blue. A teacher would be fab for her NN in 9th don't you think? I can't stop wondering about her NN at 29 degrees and can't find an answer on what it could mean. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Wilson the chart lay out specialist, so a bowel bucket, am not sure what it means, will read up more about it. Don't think I came across bowel, is there another common name that astrologers use or are you talking about your bowels?

This will be a lifelong difficulty she will have to learn to adjust to and fix herself. I am 23, and I am just now beginning to master my debilitated venus. Yes I'm younger than her, but it has felt like a long struggle. She is just going to have to discover her iniquities and correct them like the rest of us.
I was reading that Mars in the 4th house indicates problems (arguments, possibly violence) in the home that were likely to afflict the mother and the father, moreso the father. Now we also have Mars dignified here, so not as bad as it could be. I would say that she has inherited these issues with men due to her mother and father experience. So please ask her about that, and let me know.
Anyway, relationship wise there is going to be some kind of power struggle with men.. not to say they will be bad men, I would think they are mostly good.

What I think is hard aspects/placements are always a chance to learn and grow, it depends on what she chooses to do.

That's possible. Ask her about that please.

I don't think it's possible for major debilities to be 'neutralized'. Venus is accidentally dignified but the essentials are more potent than the accidentials. Venus is afflicted and will behave as such. She also has negative signification as the 8th house ruler.
Quote:
|
What do you think of her 5th? I wonder if Uranus intercepted could mean she doesn't want or can't have children.
|
I look at the houses in whole sign.
Her 5th is Saturn in Scorpio. This usually signifies a moderate sized family (usually water signs are said to be big families, but the ruling planet is Saturn). Jupiter sextiles Saturn, and Jupiter aspects to Saturn are always good; saying she could have a large family and good fertility, and profit well from 5th house related matters, such as children, creativity, etc.
Another question, how big is her family?
Now, where's my penny?

There is nothing to suggest she should have hard times having children. Uranus as 5th ruler in Sagittarius is good for fertility, and being 11th from the 5th it indicates good fortune in those matters. Moon square Mars and oppose Sun might give difficulties with children though (as I read).
Another thing, this girl has a very active chart aspect wise so suggests a complex personality..

Re: Friend's chart
The more I learn about astrology, the more I realize I know so little.
That said, these are the things that stand out to me (and in some cases others as well):
-The double libra status...yes, someone who loves beauty and balance, and is probably able to communicate such with her sun/merc conj in the 1st. This conj is also opposing her moon in aries. There might be an energetic quality to her expressions....or she might be pushy or aggressive at times....having sort of a self-righteous attitude. Or it might bring someone like that to her.
- lord of 1st in 2nd.....probably loves to be surrounded by beauty and beautiful things and/or beings (could be really passionate about it)....physical and/or energetically (like peaceful places etc..)...however, venus is conj saturn which also might create either some frustrations about manifesting these ideals, or on the other hand might create the material discipline to in fact do so.
- pluto in it's own sign in the 2nd might manifest great wealth or its opposite...or both in different phases of life.
-moon square mars...again might speak to an aggression that could manifest in some regard from herself or coming from someone else...or could point to passion generally in her being (mars is in capricorn). Maybe she's militaristic in some regard?
- neptune is conj mars in the 3rd....which might point to an idealism that is brought to her communications....and also might inform her actions in general.
I'm still reading up on interceptions and I'll reply later about that.
- uranus is trining her moon...which might bring unexpected outbursts of emotions or activities....or leaps of insight which she might be able to express and share with others.
Cheerios!

Yes... Moon trine Uranus from 7H. Uranus is always malefic in 7th house matters, so with its position in 3rd .. another sign of difficulties communicating in relationships.

Moon trine Uranus from 3rd to 7th is rather that her interests and friends will be unusual, even astrologers and not conventional. She could well study that science and then give consultations....... She herself will not want a conventional marriage I dont think. Freedom to experiment is what she wants really and I think she will travel and gain experience from that.

Hi NR!
On my way to work so a quick answer. I agree with you that women would be beneficial in her career and it seems she they would be pivotal to her as that combo is also on the Vertex. I'm still torned on which to go by regarding squares to be honest. Some astrologers think it's doom and gloom and others think it's good to have as it leads to action and that an aspect is better than no aspect
I hear you about the conflicts within her with people, that FM on 1/7 axis is certainly striking.
I take note of your points around the mother and will add it to the question list. I did ask her before if her parents were having problems or seperated when she was born, she said no no problems there so I am not sure how else to look at this FM in terms of her parents, any ideas? She mentionned that her brother felt the same about the parents and he is also a FM Sun Aries opp Moon Libra, spooky non?
Again the teaching and esoteric seem to be a trend here, will defo mention it.
Thank you
I will come back tonight for the rest of the replies.

Hi Claire.
The trine is from 7th, to 3rd. In my learnings the 7th house doesn't represent 'friends' it's a general 'other people' house in the native's peripheral and it would take precedence as the relationship house, representing the husband. It's also the house of public enemies, which is anything but friends. The third house is siblings. So I don't understand how you came to that conclusion. Unless you were using Uranus as a general significator of friends.
The native's friends (in my methods, standard traditional natal) is 11th house ruler Sun in Libra, which in the first is a very beneficial placement. May describe many male friends; and a general appearance of friendliness in the native. The Sun sextile to Uranus could describe what you say; unusual friends, possibly astrologers (Sun conjunction with Mercury another indicator of intelligent friends possibly interested in astrology).

Re: Friend's chart
Ray, I think the difference of opinions on aspects here comes from using modern versus traditional astrology and equal versu Placidus or Koch, all good learning though
In modern the 7th is one to one relationships whether romantic, friend or business, the 11th relates to groups of friends. She did say that she prefers male friends and as much more of them than females.
I will ask her about arguments in the family. I do have this natally and relate to it this way.
By how big is her family do you mean her parents family or her children? She doesn't have kids yet. Will ask her.
It will be very interesting to compare notes once I meet her in 2 days time

That said, these are the things that stand out to me (and in some cases others as well):
-The double libra status...yes, someone who loves beauty and balance, and is probably able to communicate such with her sun/merc conj in the 1st. This conj is also opposing her moon in aries. There might be an energetic quality to her expressions....or she might be pushy or aggressive at times....having sort of a self-righteous attitude. Or it might bring someone like that to her. Wow you are spot on here about her sometimes having sort of self-righteous attitude.
Interesting, added to the list of questions
- pluto in it's own sign in the 2nd might manifest great wealth or its opposite...or both in different phases of life. I agree with you and if she uses it with the trine to MC as NR mentionned, she'll earn very well.
-moon square mars...again might speak to an aggression that could manifest in some regard from herself or coming from someone else...or could point to passion generally in her being (mars is in capricorn). Maybe she's militaristic in some regard? Ummm will ask about passion.
- neptune is conj mars in the 3rd....which might point to an idealism that is brought to her communications....and also might inform her actions in general. I've not fully witnessed this yet but somehow this idealism is with her pets, see Netune ruling 6th cj Mars, she adopts all the stray cats and dogs from the neighborhood
I'm still reading up on interceptions and I'll reply later about that. OK.
- uranus is trining her moon...which might bring unexpected outbursts of emotions or activities....or leaps of insight which she might be able to express and share with others. S he is very active, always doing things and sport.
Cheerios!
Thank you for your take!
