Re: Posting our ASC Sabian Symbols

I have asc on 24'03 Cancer so that would give me a Sabian symbol of 25 Cancer: A Willful Man Is Overshadowed By A Descent Of Superior Power but one astrologer made a rectification and said it is actually one degree before and this one gives a more suited sabian symbol 24 deg Cancer A Woman And Two Men Castaways On A Small Island Of The South Seas
KEYNOTE: The focalization of complex inner potentialities in harmonic and concrete relationships.
We are dealing here with a special phase of the process of integration. The woman and the two men represent the three-fold aspect of the human personality, particularly at this stage when one of these aspects — the emotional life (the woman) — is facing the possibility, if not the inevitability, of relating itself to both the spiritual and the mental. This confrontation occurs on a small island of the South Seas, and "south" always refers symbolically to the strong and passionate impulses of human nature. Somehow the three-fold consciousness has to develop a harmonious and well-integrated modus vivendi (a specific way of life). If successful, this will release powerful energies and will lead to the next symbolic scene.
We have reached the fourth stage of the twenty-third five-fold sequence. As is most often the case, we are introduced here to a specific technique — or at least to a problem of technique — in living. The three human beings should become integrated; but the form this integration will take seems left open. It has to be a concrete type of integration in terms of the emotional and biological drives of human nature (an island of the South Seas) and the field of integration is "small." The key to the problem of relationship should be the realization of INTER-DEPENDENCE.

Then I shuffle them and when I get the 'feel' I draw a card and then another.
The face cards represent the signs. King Hearts = Aries. Queen Hearts = Taurus, Jack Hearts = Gemini. King Diamonds = Cancer, Queen Diamonds = Leo, Jack Diamonds = Virgo. King Spades = Libra, Queen Spades = Scorpio, Jack Spades = Sagittarius. King Clubs = Capricorn, Queen Clubs = Aquarius, Jack Clubs = Pisces.
The numbered cards represent the degrees 1 through 30....Hearts 1 - 10...Diamonds 11 - 20...Spades 21 - 30....Clubs don't count.
If I draw a face card first I then keep drawing until I then get a numbered card...and if a numbered card is drawn first I then keep drawing until a face card is chosen...an example would be Queen Spades and 9 Diamonds = Scorpio 19*.
I almost never fail to draw one of each from the deck...without having to redo the second draw. You could separate the face cards from the numbered cards if you care to.
I like to leave the deck intact and do it my way...I even leave the numbered clubs in the deck and one Joker...when I draw a Joker I have found it to be the Cosmos telling me to pay particular attention to the answer I will eventually receive...it's up to you which process you actually preform....IT WORKS>>>BIG TIME...I used the I Ching for years and never really felt comfortable with it..as it is so difficult to understand the symbology ...probably a racial thing...I don't know...but the Sabians have never failed to give me THE ANSWER...remember to ask a question...not of yes or no, right or wrong...but a question of alternatives...such as; "If I follow this course of action what would be the significance of it."
My clairvoyant friend and spiritual confidante, Clarisse Conner, stands behind this technique 100% and she says the using of a deck of cards in this manner with the Sabians is an old and forgotten Knights Templar practice....and I am, according to Clarisse, a reincarnated Templar Knight of at least two previous times...and I believe a third also. [my moniker should give you all a clue...]
Thank you for the advice.

Ditto. The whole idea is fascinating and is just part of the intricate world of astrology that keeps unravelling itself. It's a paradox, on one hand it's an unlocked clue, on the other, it just opens more possibilities!

Re: Posting our ASC Sabian Symbols

I remember a thread like this some time ago.

My ascendant, 8 scorpio:
7-8 deg Scorpio

A Calm Lake Bathed In Moonlight

Which as I said in the other thread is funny, because Moon is extremely significant in my chart (even though it's a day chart), she aspects 7 planets and makes a trine to the ascendant, which is watery Scorpio. My ascendant is bathed in moonlight. Haha.

8-9 deg Scorpio

A Dentist At Work

That's funny because my teeth are a little odd.

Yes, I don't like (and by this I mean, really enjoy) looking at natal unless I'm looking at someone's future potential for general success at life. My biggest interest is horary.

My Ic is at 16 aquarius.
"A big businessmen at his desk", Lol, that's astounding. I do want to be a powerful businesswoman.

Thanks, pierce.

I do want to have a largely successful business and also do philanthropic works with it. I do think I've (soul) been working towards this for a long time.. but it takes a lot to be in charge of a big organization. I'm only 23, and I know I have a lot to learn and character shaping still. But I think I'm not far from it.

Kbell,
Haha, well if you want I can start a new thread about my chart, since I wouldn't want to derail this one. I think you'd find my node placements very interesting. Let me know. I'm curious as to what you have to say (haha, I haven't had anyone pick apart my chart in a long time on this board).

Re: Posting our ASC Sabian Symbols

looking at my tropical and sidereal charts one degree is featured in both so i'm guessing it's an important point in my chart. in my tropical chart its my sun and in sidereal its mercury;

THIRD LEVEL: INDIVIDUAL/MENTAL

PHASE 86 (GEMINI 26°): FROST-COVERED TREES AGAINST WINTER SKIES.

KEYNOTE: The revelation of archetypal form and essential rhythm of existence.

At this third level of "exteriorization" a contact with archetypes and pure forms of individual selfhood is to be sought - also with the characteristic images (Spengler's Ur-symbols) of the culture. Externals are left behind. This is a step beyond "pruning"; it is rather a process of removal of all superficialities of existence. Cyclically, nature helps us to reach this state of bare reality. It is not that we experience the Buddhist's void (sunya), but rather that we reach the essence of our individual being, the form of pure selfhood which is the structuring power underneath all external features - all that belong to the "leaf" realm.

This is the first stage of the five-fold process, now in its eighteenth phase. In a sense we can speak of it as a stage of ascetic repudiation, but it is also one of ESSENTIALIZATION.

[from Rudhyar]
"(SAGITTARIUS 26°): A FLAG BEARER IN A BATTLE.

KEYNOTE: The nobly accepted subservience of the individual to collective values and goals.

A flag symbolizes an organized collectivity of human beings, a nation or even a social class. In the old-fashioned type of battle, whoever carries the flag has to feel himself the representative of the integrity and unity of his group. His personal life and his welfare should therefore be totally submerged in and identified with the welfare of the "greater Whole" of which every person can act as a conscious and responsible agent for mankind. In substance, the symbol asks: "Are you ready to assume this role!"

This first stage of the fifty-fourth five-fold sequence presents a picture of what social consciousness can mean in its highest implications. The flag-bearer is unarmed, defensless; yet he can be the rallying point for the total effort of a large collectivity. This is a symbol of CONSECRATION TO AN IDEAL."

...Have you found your 'IDEAL' yet?
...what does your I.C. say about "HOW"....
thanks for the help with this pierce, I don't think I have yet. but like a lot of things in life I find direction and aim difficult.

my I.C. is 15 degrees leo tropical/ 20 degrees cancer sidereal

Re: Posting our ASC Sabian Symbols

pierce ,sorry I meant to say 16 degrees. it's rounded up to 1 degree after isn't it?

http://www.cafeastrology.com/sabians...emeanings.html
^ this site with a basic overview says;
"15-16 deg Leo

The Storm Ended, All Nature Rejoices In Brilliant Sunshine"

if that's correct then the interpretation for my I.c. would be 16 degrees leo;

FIRST LEVEL: ACTIONAL
PHASE 136 (LEO 16°): THE STORM ENDED, ALL NATURE REJOICES IN BRILLIANT SUNSHINE.
KEYNOTE: The surge of life and love after a major crisis.
The symbol speaks clearly for itself. How brilliant the light after the long "night of the soul"! The battered but unconquered consciousness finds itself exalted in the marriage of sunbeams and rising sap. This indeed is "Release" — light and life singing in the cleansed and refreshed mind, flooded for a while by the waters of feeling.
This is the first stage in the twenty-eighth five-fold sequence. It is a sequence that reveals consciousness at its most inspiring moments of enjoyment. But these "peak experiences" can operate at several levels. The first and most basic level is that of life itself, and of the overcoming of its many crises — THE JOY AND POWER OF NEW BEGINNINGS.

combined with my ascendant ,round up to 21 degrees? as its 20 degrees;

SECOND LEVEL: EMOTIONAL/CULTURAL
PHASE81 (GEMINI 21°): A TUMULTUOUS LABOUR DEMONSTRATION
KEYNOTE: The revolutionary impact of mental concepts upon the collective emotions and desires of man.
This symbol parallels the one that began the process of "exteriorization" (Gemini 16°), but the process is seen here operating definitively at the level of collective responses. The mass of men have been aroused by mental images, slogans and an appetite for the abundance the "ruling class" enjoys. This also applies to the individual person in whom contrasting spheres of activity have taken shape as the result of the mind-based individualizing process. The organic functions make their collective demands upon the lordly intellect. The stage may be set for the kind of "revolution" we call psychoneurosis.
This begins the seventeenth five-fold sequence of symbols. It sets the stage for a tumultuous process, which may lead to a new approach to the problems resulting from individualization. The repressed or oppressed instincts stage an EMOTIONAL OUTBURST, claiming their due.

am I doing this right? , I can provide my chart if you would prefer to have a look at it.

the first one I posted was a degree which is for my sun in my tropical chart and for my mercury in my sidereal. I mentioned it because that degree features and is connected to my personal planets whichever system I use. so from that I figured it was an important degree,I've no idea how to interpret the degrees in relation to planets . it's not my ascendant. although I did state that in my original post.

here is my chart;

sorry for any confusion, I should have made it a bit clearer in my original post.

There is no basis for fear. Either you're being dramatic or are giving far too much credence to "clairvoyants" that never met you.

Peace.
I have not read the entire thread, so excuse me if you've had a change of heart! It is completely missing the point to think that someone has to 'enter a convent' just because you have Capricorn 24 in your chart.... it's symbolic for goodness sakes!!

It can mean there's a time in your life when you need to enter a peaceful, quiet, contemplative period or you may seek solace in spiritual pursuits. A Sabian Symbol will describe one area of your life...

Re: Posting our ASC Sabian Symbols

Thank you very much, PTV!

I like the idea of ´Love as a Redemption´, it really speaks to my soul (or is my soul speaking to me ?) And I indeed am repeatedly placed in such situations where this is the only approach to take in order to resolve the situation (= dissolve karma related to it).

I learned to be compassionate and somewhat detached from the situation at the same time when I am experiencing it, this may relate to DSC symbol of different perspectives...It´s like I am aware of different layers of a given situation at the same time. It also depends if it has something to do with me personally and how much I identify with the thing/person/belief, whatever, how much I am emotionally engaged there. If it´s something I perceive as important for me, it is more difficult to see from different angles.

As for the hearing, does it correspond with ´inner voice´ or intuition because I am very intuitive and this has never let me down. But, for me, whatever I intuitively sense, it must ring true and also be confirmed by logic. Like right (intuition) and left (logic) brain working together.

Very very interesting, indeed.

Good night for now, I am going to sleep

Fascinating! Two full hours spent researching and loving it!

I found an Arabic part calculator online, but no formula for Part of Sudden Advancement. Can anyone recommend a link for this formula/calculator?

Yes: there are 3 formulae for this Lot; you can find them in the "list of lots" at "dreamhouse attic" (google pars hyleg, then go to the site that comes up which has the words dreamhouse attic)
