a question on predictive chart validity
i just tried a free sample chart with indianastrology2000.com. while not an in-depth report, it seemed pretty right on on most matters. i have a question about something i read, though. supposedly my life will have many extreme ups and downs only until i'm 32. i'm wondering if this might be true? i'm 27 now, and am already very tired from where i have been. i was expecting life to be like this indefinately, and it would ease my rattled heart to hear that i've only got about five more years to brave it through before things get more manageable.
is there anyone out there who might know where indianastrolgy2000 has determined this golden year from? and if it's correct?
thanks so much to anyone who might be interested in answering!

Sincerely, I don't think astrology can predict those kinds of thing. A natal chart mostly tells you your potential talents or inclinations, as well as your innate reactions to your surrounding. Predictive astrology tells you of planetary influences over that chart.
Maybe there is a transiting planet or sign that will affect you in a good way around this period.
Uranus and Pluto could be part of it, since they move very slowly!
Personnally I am not very skilled in predictive astrology... for all I know, some signs' influence such as capricorn predict a fruitful old age...
Please, some experts here?

 Hi Sita
I don't know much about Indian astrology but I DO know that that it uses planetary periods which can last for years. These are called Dasas and for instance, the Mars Dasa is 7 years and the Jupiter, 16 years so you can see; - you may have been under a particularly difficult Dasa. There are other systems similar to this i.e. the Greek/Persian Firdaria which also covers planetary periods in our lives and works in a similar way.
Hope this helps a little

Hello, Sita.
I just registered at this forum today, so I'm new here. I don't really know anything about Indian Astrology, but I do know a lot about the validity of horoscope and forecast precision, because that's something that I do professionally.
But, yes: it is true that forecast can pinpoint upcoming tendencies/urges/cycles that would be present during a particular time or period in one’s life - BUT ONLY if such forecast derive from an accurate horoscope. What most astrologers don’t realize is that EVERY horoscope needs to be tested and verified for complete functionality (i.e., 100% accuracy) – even when physical birth times are known. Whether or not IndianAstrology2000 is accurate about what tendencies/cycles will be present in your life is not certain. But it’s important that you understand what forecast DO and DO NOT do.
Forecast DO NOT predict exact events that will occur, because the willpower (choice) of an individual enables one to choose a course of action among a plethora of internal and external influences – respond to, ignore, go against them, etc.
When a horoscope is accurate, forecast CAN/DO show planetary forces (tendencies/urges/cycle) that will be present during VERY SPECIFIC periods (even down to an exact day) in an individual’s life. Such tendencies/urges prod or spur one into making decisions or taking action or exercising willpower/choice in response to their influences and in relation to certain areas of life. But – whatever forces are present – it’s important to realize: it is what a person does in response to planetary forces at a certain period that will lead to positive or negative effects, thereafter. Hence, you need not to feel as if there’s nothing you can do or that you just have to “take what comes” - no! It’s better to use such periods as stepping-stones of what to do and what NOT to do rather than let them take their hold on you. In fact, there are various mediums you can employ to counteract (or at the very least – alleviate) such influences. (Go to: http://www.theouterlimitexplorer.bra...om/index2.html)
As for the feelings you have gone through, are going through or will go through: these come from your progressed planetary aspects to your natal/and or progressed planets and angles. While many astrologers look to transits to find out what's happening, secondary (day-for-a-year) progressions are far, far stronger, because they pertain to influences in relation to you (and to each person!) as an individual – that is: to planets in your horoscope that continue to move in their orbs from (and in relation to) their original positions at birth. Transits are more like background conditions of the planetary positions in the solar system at present that are not as strong or long lasting (with the exception of the outer planets; but even so: your progressed outer planets are even stronger). Hence, transits don’t indicate or point to milestones in one’s life. Progressions do.
As for your horoscope itself, I can help you to a certain extent, because (as I already mentioned) forecast precision is what I do professionally – and I only forecast horoscopes that I have tested and verified natally as being totally functional (in order to prevent giving erroneous forecast). It’s something that I take very seriously in my work and responsibility as an astrologer and as one whose purpose is to guide and direct people in helping them to help (and find) themselves and to know their relationship to spiritual forces of the universe. But, if you have certain questions about your horoscope in general (such as the meaning of houses, planets, signs, aspects, etc.), I will be happy to assists you.
Regards,
