Progression plea

Hi,

I've had bad experience with other astrology forums, this one has proven to be the best. I've gained a lot of experience lurking around here, however still having trouble reading my progressed chart. I can't find much on a Retrograde Jupiter and Chrion conjunct which is present in both my natal and progressed chart at the moment.

I'm at a point in my life where I need to start making a choice of career, however that is something I constantly change mind-set about.. one thing that never escapes that area is music.. I love playing guitar but I feel I hold back it as a dream along with everything else.

After a long relationship that lasted for three years ended two years ago I've dealt with flings and no love to be found, it's on my mind all the time I don't know why it seems to be this way. Lately social life has been rather active out of nowhere (encountering old friends and meeting new ones) this always seems to go from being blank to an explosion.

ohhh somebody out there scope the scene in my stars

Re: Progression plea

Why not have 2 jobs, music for your emotional expression, and something in a differing field to pay the bills in case things get a bit tight in the financial department. As far as relationships go if it's on your mind all of the time then maybe we're looking at slightly obsessive feelings/thinking patterns, read up on moon in virgo, any aspects that your moon makes, and the mars /pluto conjunction (plus sun) in Scorp (pluto rules the 3rd house cusp so will have some influence on the way you think). The recent new moon in cancer will probably highlight your cancerian placements this month, so expect to be a bit more emotionally up and down for the next 4 weeks or so. Your natal north node is in the 5th, so you should be developing your skills in order to move forward and experience some satisfaction in your life.

Jupiter retro tends to be less extrovert or sociable, not needing to be out there so much...

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

Your prog venus has not long since changed signs into Aquarius and 5th house and this is an area now of focus

progressed planets/charts are more 'internal' changes, evolvements rather than 'events or external' matters. I don't read prog charts as stand alones it's more important to see where these planets are moving in the natal chart

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

What's the difference between Transits and Progressions?
“Transits are the planets currently orbiting in the sky and the relationships they form to each other and additionally, to your chart. Transits happen for everyone. They're important and effect you personally when they contact a planet or point in your chart. Transits represent outside energy, things happening outside yourself. They describe external events and your responses to them. Progressions, however, move very slowly and are a natural progression of your original birth chart. The events and emotions they describe are part of you, deeply ingrained in your psyche, internal, and psychological. And as they form aspects, these inner feelings start to become more important and central to your life”

The most important of progressed planets is of course, sun & moon and then upto mars, as the outer planets hardly move by progression. Now like with transits, solar arcs --- it's what these progressed planets are doing NOW by mathematical aspect to your natal planets and Angles that is ultimately important.

Also I would take this opportunity to mention there is a ‘plethora’ of information in every forum top, called 'stickys' which cover, explain in great depth what each forum is all about, plus we have an Education forum for further research..

Re: Progression plea

The progressed moon traveling through 10th is good to turn to professional issues.
progressed mercury opp to prog jupiter and natal jupiter in 10th is also sign that you can learn much now. Studies in sight ? Jupiter in 10th show that it might be beneficial to have some educational record for you to develop in best ways.
In one way or another. You could functioning as knowledgeable wise person in advicing role or similar in the setting of yur choosing.

The natal oppositions from 4th house can be an inner conflict in stepping out because of either emotional reasons or family duties or issues either from earlier or in future family. Resolving this creatively might be an developnmental issue in this life.

(One side issue might be music as others said. Maybe teaching in your home setting).

You have good power in you by mars/pluto conjunction.

Best wishes

Stefan

Re: Progression plea

I have done my best to understand the progressions myself, at that point I have posted my chart to see what others interpretations are. I have trouble understanding how to make the relationship between the natal and progressed positions.

Compare "day-for-a-year" progressed chart to natal chart

Ok, T......(I am assuming that you have read this educational thread on "looking at progressions", posted by BobZemco :
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ad.php?t=26827 )

The progressed chart that you have posted shows the position as at 19th July 2010 (the "default" date, when you produced the chart at Astro.com)...

For comparison with the natal chart, you need the "day-for-a-year" progressions...a chart calculated on the assumption that each day after your birthday represents one year of life, and using the exact time + lattitude/longitude of your natal chart......(Your calculated chart uses a Universal Time of 23.04, rather than 07.22......So, you need to redraw it at Astro.com with a date of 22nd November 2009...which will give you the "day-for-a-year" Progressed Chart for the 12 months from age 20 to 21).

The only noticeable change between the 22 Nov and 19 July progressed charts will be the position of the Moon......But that's important, because the Moon progresses one degree for each month...thus providing us with a timing device...(For example, on 19th July the progressed Moon is at 25 degrees Gemini...and will make no aspects until the qcx with natal Sun in 5 months time, when "something is likely to happen".)

[Note : Apologies for the laboured explanation, but it really is neccessary to use "day-for-a-year" progressions for comparison to natal charts...and "current" progressions as a device for timing/daily monitoring of predicted events.]
____________________
When comparing the "day-for-a-year" progressed chart with the natal chart, the first step is to look for aspects made by the inner planets of the progressed chart to all planets in the natal chart (allowing a maximum orb of 1 degree)...

...In your case, T...I cannot see any progressed inner planet to natal planet aspects (other than those made by the progressed moon), but Pmars is aspecting the natal Asc/Dsc axis...(highlighting relationships as a key issue for you during this progression)...

...Progressions of the Moon last only three months, but we can use your Pmoon to Nvenus/Nchiron to illustrate the process :-

Pmoon activates not only your Nvenus/Nchiron, but also the whole of any natal configuration(s) which they are involved in......So, your natal Venus+Saturn+Neptune+Uranus/Chiron+Jupiter/Pluto+Mars is being triggered by this three month long progression of the Moon...

Therefore, to interpret the progression correctly you must understand how that natal configuration works in your life....which is likely to have been triggered during this progression by "emotional communications in your career" (Pmoon in Gemini/10th)...

Understanding the natal configuration is the main difficulty/task though...which requires personal knowledge/experience only you can have...(But every progression/transit activating the configuration presents an opportunity to learn about it, by a retrospective analysis of what happened at the time.)

[Note : Does this help...Or am I just making the interpretation of progressions appear more complicated than they actually are?]

EJ
