Not quite sure why you are connecting mercury ruling natal 8th with career and work?
It would have been helpful if you posted the SR on it's own, so we could see the aspects. I think it's more important that you connect SR mercury conj natal Saturn. This could suggest some studying, training course with work, Adult education/evening classes even...
I say this cos in Equal house your stellium in Virgo is in the 9th house natally, which is a major difference in interpretations from 8th house and actually, better placed.
