I have no idea how to make a living!

Hi folks,

I have been really confused about my career direction. I am currently a home health aide, which i love, don't get me wrong. I feel like i'm living in a fog or something! I find it is almost impossible for me to focus, or concentrate on anything. I feel as though if i don't do something artistic or creative, im going to implode! I just have no idea how to go about doing it! What the hell is going on with me? Will this ever pass?

I would appreciate any feedback from you cosmic folks! Should I just tell the medical health field to "get Lost"! or should I try a profession that involves writing, or dealing with kids....hell, I really do NOT KNOW.

Hi Pisces,
Moon in your ninth can cause some of these problems. Moon in Gemini and placed here may give you a "double mindedness" about things concerning studys and mental pursuits. Cancer in the Midheaven, I would think that nursing would be a talent you could excel in. Chiron in your Sixth house may indicate a healing spirit that you can serve others with. But thats just me on that. I have had problems like this before (Neptune in my ninth) flat out confusion. Your North Node in the third (like mine ) you could succeed in wirting. I wrote a column for a paper for years. You can develope that on the side of what you do decide to do. So you don't have to throw away that desire to create. Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Agreed, that is sound advice. Keep what feeds you for now, and find a way to expand options that inspire you. Is there a way that you can build something 'creative' and 'third house' into your life, while you think about whether to keep your job? Even small change can satisfy a Gemini moon, I've got one too

and it's always helped me to try and apply patience before I toss everything aside and bound off in the opposite direction

What was the last thing you did that made you feel totally involved, absorbed, present, content, satisfied? What would you do willingly for free? (Unfortunately, you may need to do it for free for a while before you can launch it as a paying career

)

Yes, have to agree nursing would be good for you with the Cancerian MC plus 6th house cusp of pisces. You would obviously have a caring and tending streak to you. Plus chiron is sitting in your 6th - a healer of some sort!

Moon in the 9th in Gemini (the ruler of your MC) would indicate a good ability to communicate emotions maybe but also have a clinical approach to things, which again is good for professions to things like nursing as you want to be able to separate your emotions from your work and not let work affect you.

Plus the ruler of your 6th house, neptune is nicely sitting in the 2nd house, whose cusp is Sco. So again, it shows a caring streak as well the need to get to the bottom of things, which might be good for again nursing.

Otherwise, anything to do with emotions and penetration could do well with a bit of humanitarian/palliative streak to it. Even something like Medicine (psychiatry) or psychiatry could be good for you. Or even a counsellor of some sort dealing with crisis.

I Love being a home health aide, because I have the opportunity to nurture, and take care of people. I've also worked in hospice's with aids/cancer patients also. Being with them really fills a deep void. I was thinking of getting certified in holistic health/nutrition. Then I was like..well maybe I should study mid-wifery...then I was like, well Maybe I should focus on my love of writing..then I doubt myself, and say:"Oh, you can't really write that well", or:"What would you write about"? Creatively, i've been feeling really blocked. I love to sculpt also..I am ALL OVER THE PLACE!

One thing I do know is, I love herbal/holistic things. I also have a strong need to feed people. This is where the humanitarian work, which I would love to become involved with, comes into play. I have always dreamed of traveling to developing countries to help mother's and children. Especially in Africa, with the Aids crises. I may have to put that on hold, for a loooong time. My son is only 8. I just can't pick up and move all over the place! Hey, i'm no Angelina Jolie!

I'm wondering if i'm having a particular transit, that's causing the majority of this confusion. I've had my moments in the past, but never like this! It's on a whole different level!

Aids would be a pluto type thing as it leads to death (and has some sexual connotation about it, well it can spread through intercourse

), again falls into your second.

As for sculpting, I think it has to do with both your moon and mercury. Merc falls in the 5th/pisces - a mind geared to artistry + moon - whose depositor is mercury, so that might be emotional expression through hand coordination (ruled by Gem/merc)

Hey Pisceskitty,

just to plant some idea seeds - when you feel it's the right time, there are often 'registers' for skilled medical and emergency professionals to be deployed overseas in case of an emergency humanitarian situation. In Australia, Oxfam and other NGO's run them. I'm sure there are also international registers, but can't think of who runs them right now

Where do you live? Perhaps there is a major NGO running a similar thing there?

When you are in a position to go overseas (often at short notice), this may be a way to capitalise on your existing medical skills, and make the jump into overseas aid/development work.

As for the writing, I feel similarly. I know it's in me, not sure if this is the right space to try and bring it out. Who wants to be a starving writer?!

In the meantime, I find it difficult to create the space in my life to develop writing, and sculpting too for that matter....

I too am the same gender as you

I was thinking what is it about her that I just don't like. I wonder what astro influences it must be. I feel the same about Liz Hurley, I just don't find these women attractive despite how they bring men to their knees.

I have Sag Venus but I don't think that's the cause of it. I have mars in Gem and I just adore Gem males, my partner is one.

23, all I can think is that with Venus in Sag (trine Aries Jupiter and sextile Libra Moon) you might like friendly, open, straightforward, and emotionally generous women. With Aries and Sag involved you might relate to women who are physical, outgoing or assertive, but still 'striaghtforward' - honest, you get what you see. With moon in Libra, you might even admire women who are loyal partners and balanced personalities

and yes Libra is a sign of beauty - classical, stylish beauty.

Ms. Jolie does not project a public image like this at all (according to my limited impression, anyway). She projects as an oddball, very sensual but not 'typically' beautiful, very independent, somewhat unpredictable, sexual but not particularly feminine image. Tattooes and 'kick-***' characters, motherhood but personal independence, etc. I don't acutally know her chart, but to me she appears like a blend of scorpio/aquarius. These aren't signs attached to your venus at all, but they are attached to mine.

I have venus in Aqua, it is also sextile Uranus, so yes, I do appreciate 'striking', independent, 'different' women who challenge the norm. Venus trines moon in Gemini; I don't see how gemini relates to Ms. Jolie but the moon is in the 11th house, the home of Uranus.

I may also have Venus square Pluto/Jupiter (on the Libra/Scorpio cusp), but I'm not sure how much weight to give those squares, so we shall ignore them here. Yes, I think it might be that she's too URANIAN for your tastes

Does that sound like something you can relate to?

By the way - I don't get the Liz Hurley thing. Pass on her.

I have Mars in Virgo and am attracted to earthy guys. I don't think it plays much importance to what I find attractive in women though. Infact I can't even think of a woman I know who is an Earth sun sign, outside of my family (plenty of them there!!)

I was looking at Angelina's face and I was thinking that I really don't like her lips or her nose. I don't like her lips because they look they are going to explode off her face. I don't like her nose because it is deviated and it seems to twist her whole face. As for her persona, I don't care much for her one way or another. I don't dislike her, I just don't get it; I find her too caught up in image or trying to portray this image. Too much junk; too many roles, unfeminine in a strange way.

You are right, I like women who are down the line and who are classically very beautiful, ala Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cindy Crawford etc. I also have a bias to brown hair and eyes when it comes to women

Neptune is currently only three degrees away from your natal Sun so Confusion (Neptune) and Self (Sun) is there and will be for a while. its in retrograde so that foggy sense of self in some ways may hang around a while.
I can't wait to see what "goodies" Neptune has for me when it crosses my natal Saturn in Pisces in 2012. I dread to even imagine. lol

Although Uranus is in retrograde also and it will cause you to feel anxious, nervous, and uncertain about the future (Uranus) My airconditioning went out yesterday100+ degree weather too. its about 90 in my room here (no excuse though ) but its been a long night as well. My Bad. Angelina J? well not that attractive to me, but is likeable for her other tangible qualities. but that is just me, distrustful of beauty till it proves to me good underneath. Wow...lovin' the celebrity gossip! I happen to adore angelina! she's extremely yummy! I'm a straight woman..but. I'm telling you, she's the only woman I would consider being with! Maybe it's the fact that we have a Moon/Sun conjunction in Gemini! who knows. my Venus is in Pisces. Her venus is in Cancer. She's a lovely girl with Cancer rising believe it or not!
My Natal Mars is in Capricorn, yet, i don't really like earthy types. I find myself really attracted to Aries men, and Sagittarius guys.

I have no comment on Angelina. But on the subject of Mars in Capricorn, I, too, have that placement - and I don't really go for earthy sun signs. All water signs for me, especially Cancers.

Well I've always found mystery very interesting in men. Power and confidence as well. That sounds kinda scorpionish? I'm not sure where I get that from my venus is sag, my mars in libra... I guess Ange gives that scoropin vibe as well. Its just a guess.

I think you might be right. I have read somewhere to do with her that it has a something to do with her beauty but also she has so much Libra in her chart that this has much bearing on her appearance. She's stunning.

I have the same problem!
If i dont do somthing artistic or creative im gonna explode!
Everyone sais i have to stop dreaming, and do somthing just normal, but i find it boring and i dont like it..i cant concentrate either ! i keep on dreaming and im so slow somtimes...people seem always too fast and i cant deal with doing too many things at once. I also like adventure,doing things that others wont do and i wanna become a writer,a singer,or somthing very creative to express myself...I have always dreamed of being a singer(not just a pop singer) but someone who makes her own songs and music,and someone who writes stories,poetry,or act on theatre...and i would also love to help people and visit diffrent countries.. ****,i just dont know lol
i want to go by trailer(caravan) into the wide nature,and become one with spiritual life...it scares me , the reality makes me scared and i cant deal with it on my own! im afraid i will always need someone who holds my hand trough this life...
