Re: Out of sect/ in sect ?
Sect is an ancient concept. It has many layers.
Saturn, Jupiter, and the Sun are diurnal planets, who are happiest above the horizon in a day chart.
Mars, Venus, and the Moon are nocturnal planets, who are happiest below the horizon in a day chart.
Mercury is happy anywhere.
In a night chart, when the Sun is below the horizon, the diurnal planets prefer to be with it, and the nocturnal planets prefer to be above the horizon, with the Moon.
The diurnal planets prefer to be in masculine signs, and the nocturnal ones in feminine signs.
When a diurnal planet, in a day chart, is above the horizon, it is considered in halb. When it is also in a masculine sign, it is in hayz.
When a nocturnal planet, in a night chart, is below the horizon, it is considered in halb. When it is also in a feminine sign, it is in hayz.
This is just a basic introduction. There is more to the philosophy of this concept, but I don't have the time right now to get into it. I will try to find a link later. Hope this helps.
