I used to deal with plamistry focusing on what it reveals about our personality. I can say that many questions have arrisen since then.

1. Do really small horizontal lines under the small finger represent relationships? if so, how is it posible to have a serious relantionship and no visible lines there at all????

2. How posibly can anyone to make a prediction since lines change all the time according to what is on our mind?

3. Which hand of the two hands can we read? Why lines are so different compairing two hands?

i'm not a palmist so cannot talk about your questions
but i would say it just shows our state of mind when palm is read.
predicting future is useless through palm
astrology is better

I do not know much about it, maybe some lines, but there is a particular "line"

that I just looooved to read on people:

-As I know, if your love line bifurcates (divides in two lines), probably you were or will be between two choices. It could be also infidelity, or literary, choosing between two options.
---It is a very comon line, but I just loved to see the face of people when I went: "Ok, before you were married, etc, you were indecisive between that love and a previous one". The faces went like

Now, one time happened that in the cafeteria, a friend, wanting to "test" me, gave me his palm (which was in the love line VERY crossed with several lines up)and (this was kind of freaky) I just had the impulse to say -"Man, your, like, with three people at the same time!"
And he (who is very pale), just went all red faced, as if I had caugth him with his pants down and went all: -"Well, yes, it is true, but everyone involved knows what's going on, etc.."

Priceless.

i have this kind of love line should i be worried???

well apart of all these what is sure is that

few lines low energy
many lines lot of energy
coundless lines nervous breakdown

same with mounts
low mounts weak personality
well shaped strong and balanced personality
overlarge difficult to control!!!

lines on palm keep changing as we age and they also depend on the mental status when palm is read.
so they may change in future and what a palmist said now may not be valid tomorrow.

the left hand is the passive/receptive hand, what we feel we are on the inside. our natural mode of being.

the right hand is the dominate/action hand, what we strive to be on the outside. our active mode of being.

flipped if the person is left-handed.

so, both can be read, sort of like the relationship between the sun and moon in astro.

It is true.
Following up on the story of the friend in the cafeteria, a couple of years later we were remembering that incident. I looked again to his palm and those previous lines crossing the love line, were almost gone. At that moment in his life, he was looking for a house to settle with his partner.

The term "serious" is relative. It is indication of falling in true love - usually happens once or twice in life time.

On the contrary, changing lines are indications of how much person was having in store v/s how much person has improved (or not improved)

General guidelines: For professionals active have. For home makers and kids passive hand.

Since, I don't trust chart without rectification - I mean, date, time, etc., I extensively use the following pair:

1. Birth Information + palm reading
2. Birth Information + Couple of important events of life

I find Palm reading mostly agreeing to Astrological Events.

However, a suggestion:
1. You might have read stories of Blind Men and Elephant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blind_men_and_an_elephant). This is very true about Palmistry. As an example, I found eight different interpretation of a circle on plain of Mars, out of few dozens of Palmistry books. Putting them together was better representation, alone it was insignificant reading.

2. Palmistry has its own strengths and weaknesses. It is best within its boundaries, just like various Astrological Systems have their own strengths and weaknesses.

I think palmistry and astrology are similar in that they both offer ways to understand ourselves better and what directions we can go in our life path.

The passive palm shows your abilities, the dominant palm shows what you have done so far.

I've always been amazed too, at how specific palmistry can be, for example, it can give you the precise year when you broke a bone. Along with showing personality traits and life directions, palmistry also seems to be more of a record of events.

How long the reading is good for has everything to do with, like astrology, how good the reader is.
