Is it possible to assess synastry before meeting someone?

If so, how?

Getting back into the dating scene after a long time and wondering if there is a way to determine the most compatible sun, moon ascendant for a love relationship before meeting someone. As in figuring out what to look for so to avoid a current circumstance in the future.

That would be the man I've been seeing for three months. Asking for help because he is 34 and I am 50, yet we are inexplicably drawn to each other immensely. He said he seldom sees anyone more than once or twice and never continuously. He feels like a keeper, but admits to having been a player. As much as I want to be optimistic, I'm concerned about monogamy and deceit. Totally lost in his presence and disoriented when we're apart. He has an incredibly powerful effect on me.

Yes it's quite possible to do a synastry before you meet someone IF you have both 'time' of birth are correct.

The reason you have had no responses is we are all visual people here and need to see charts pref from astro plus synastry bi wheel --

Depends on you but I'd say be a little careful of trying to find a relationship by synastry, you may become too defined by it. Because of one or two good or bad experiences you may begin think "I don't get along with Libran moons" or "Cancerian suns are wonderful".

What an ephemeris won't tell you is where a person is in their level of maturity. So a Leo who is immature might be all loud and proud, whereas one who has grown up will be able to be generous and able to share the attention.

I spent many a year avoiding Aries women because I feared their tempers and selfish natures. I found a wonderful one who had four planets in Aries yet with her Libra moon and Taurus mars she was nothing like I'd expected. Had I looked at the ephemeris first, I might have expected her mars square to be an issue to my Aquarius mars and Leo stellium but it never was. We never had a cross word.

I'd say find someone you like then look to the ephemeris to find out what the strengths and weakness of your relationship will be, where you'll need to work hard and what you'll find easy.

I agree, Inside out orange.
I had a ten year very profound relationship with a person with whom I had absolutely shocking synastry.We learnt a lot from one another. Had a client brought the 2 charts to me, I'd have advised against it, on the basis of the synastry.This person actually physically saved my life, so we can't always know what our spiritual purpose is in another's life.
Look at the synastry, by all means-It's very illuminating, but trust more what you directly experience.That's my advice anyway.

Nope it's free off astro - you don't have to pay and like I said it only works when you're together and only describes the relationship, not how either of you function in the relationships. It could also be interesting to put each others natal planets around the outside of the composite to see who relates best to the relationship and who comes off worst.


You could have the best synastry in the world, but unless you have good communications, are honest with each other about your needs, wishes and desires and 'both' of you want the same things...........then nothing will happen. It cannot make anyone change, or love you more. Some challenging squares, oppositions in synastry can be healthy, and may require one or both of you to grow in some way. Astrological natal charts cannot explain environmental factors, financial handicaps/ restraints and what position you hold in society, neither can it tell you if you are of ‘Royalty’ or beggar.

I am of the belief that people come in and out of our lives for a reason, either we have to teach them something or we have to learn something from them. There is Always an exchange, good or bad.
