how do i figure out whether my pluto is in the 1st or 12th house?

To get equal house in astro.com:
- click on "Free Horoscopes"
- click on "Extended Chart Selection"
- click on the dropdown box next to "House System"
- choose "equal"

If it's a question about where it really is- I'm an advocate of the equal house system. Wherever it is using that system is where I believe it is.

I personally always use Whole Sign (also available as a house system format on Astrodienst) In that system Pluto is in your 1st House (and, from my perspective, your first house is really charged-up!)

(Note: the house system question is a sore point in astrology, a very controversial issue, and one which every person must resolve according to their own experience and insight)

i'm 26 already and the past 5-6 years have been difficult but i chalk that up to saturn being in my 1st house "early riser" type. i still have not encountered some of the horror stories people have shared with pluto in 12th.

I may be wrong but even though Pluto is technically in the 12th, it actually should be in the first because of the tight conjunction of the ASC, it should carry over to the first house. ????

Being that it is on an angle, 5 degrees would be acceptable for calling it on the Ascendant. It is a counter clockwise move, but again the importance that it is near the angular house. Usually it is when a planet is applying to a cusp with in 5 degrees, it is read as the next house.

and what do you FEEL? i mean when panet is in the first house person usualy can not not to feel it`s influence. character, reactoins, appearance...i have first house pluto and my whole life is somehow plutonian but not in negative sense as many would say with this house placement.

Your Pluto is within orb of the 1st House cusp by only 40 minutes. From what I've read, astrologers use orbs from 5 to 8 degrees for cusps, but I'd lean toward 5 degrees.

Your Pluto is also in it's own sign, Scorpio. That's actually good.

As for difficulties, Uranus in Pisces was squaring your Uranus in Sagittarius about 4 to 5 years ago. Uranus causes disruptions when it makes a hard aspect to your natal planets, especially natal Uranus. I had the same thing happen around 1994 to 1996. It caused massive disruption on all levels.

well, first of all, i was born with c-section otherwise i`d die(sercumstances of birth are often described by asc and first house planets), second-i`ve always attracted pluto-influenced people in my life. also, people with pluto in the first house often discover in them "strange" energies(in hands, in eyes, etc), also i`ve always been interested death related matters and people`s unconcious(and it influenced my choice of profession). everything it is due to my pluto. if your pluto is in your 1st house you must feel more like scorpio.

I have known babies born with pluto conj Asc and they had to be revived at birth or given life savings help to get them breathing. So having a C section is quite appropriate here.

To check your time is correct, did you relocate about 2.5years old? solar arc MC onto Moon. Age 12.5 to 13 did one parent become distant, aloof and anything happen to knock your confidence? Age 17 did you travel, move to bigger house? SA Jupiter conj IC? Age 21 did you become sporty, active, competative? much more sexually orientated?

Your chart really lacks the element of air, how sure are you of the 'time' have you read and researched Libra Asc?

Libra can be charm personified but restless and indecisive to. Whereas scorpio is a deeply private analytical star sign, but sulky moody and plays mind games...

Middle sept T Mars will go over your Asc and that's a good time to confirm your 'time' as you should have more energy, action and initiate things. Also T mercury is quite good for doing this to. This won't happen til 21st October though.

The Pluto in your natal chart is certainly ultra-Scorpionic!
-of course, posited in the sign, but also
-in the (elemental) decanate of Scorpio, and also
-in the duodenary (sign 1/12th) of Scorpio as well
Pluto in "triple" Scorpio!
Pluto is also in the "Face" of Mars (Faces are decanates assigned to planets by the ancient Chalden order of planets)-Mars itself is also posited in the 1st house (remember I regard Pluto as posited in the 1st by the Whole Sign house formating method)
