After spending 210 nights alone at sea and sailing non stop for approx 18,500 nautical miles, Jessica Watson is due to dock in Sydney Harbour shortly. She left Sydney Harbour in October 2009 with the purpose of setting a record of becoming the worlds youngest sailor - she's 16 years old. Unfortuntately for Jessica, she has not sailed far enough north to claim this record.

After looking at her chart (with no birth time), I was particularly interested to see true node in Sagittarius (!) trining her Aries Moon. It didn't surprise me to see Aries Moon, considering the determination and stubborness she displayed when many people were criticizing and doubting her abilities as a young, female sailor before she left.

She also has a Rx Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn trining her Sun - Mercury conjunction. Another point to note, is that she has Sun-Mercury conjunct Algol ....

Considering what she's achieved, I think she deserves a huge medal for the bravery she's shown as well as the risk she took.

Indeed the world needs our Hero's & Heroines.. ie. for each of us to follow our own unique vision of life.. without caving in to the doubts & fears of others.. Although she has been ably supported here by her family in this journey.. Yes, Aries Moon, conj *Venus & *Ceres in Aries.. the sign of 'the Warrior'.. While all also likewise almost exactly square.. semi-sextile & inconjunct the transiting *Cancer-Capricorn Nodal Axis!!!

I reckon we'll be hearing a lot more on Jessica Watson. She's showed us what it means to "have a go", and in the process, taught many to believe that their dreams are attainable.

Also it's been interesting to read some of the deeply scathing & negative opinions of her record attempt, perhaps by those who are somehow resentful on some level that they didn't have the same opportunities in life etc.. Or did they just not see them rather.. Perhaps all of our lives really are just a matter of perspective...

I feel that Jessica may well have Pisces rising. She is a down to earth Taurus and that gives determination but she has surprisingly little water element. She has the Pluto in Scorpio which gives her the survival abilities and opposes her Sun and Mercury.

That Aries moon gives her courage and risk taking abilities.

She has Uranus in Pisces transiting her Sun and Mercury in trine as well as the natal configuration to back that up. So the technologies that she used at sea were invaluable to her success. Being able to keep in touch and to be supported by those on land. Venus in Aries, she likes a challenge and is supposedly bored already and looking to her next escapade.

That she will make a lot of money through endorsements etc is certain (Sun Mercury Taurus) and may well be quite wealthy as a result of this and perhaps other adventures. She has an agent and a manager.
