I have saturn on asc and I didn't want to come out, birth was long and delayed. Saturn opposite Sun Pluto Uranus.

Saturnus on the Asc. asphyxia. Long labour. It is however important to mention, in the 1st or the 12th. Saturnus rising in the 12th on the Ascendant.

I have Mars and Venus conjunct the Ascendant.It was very quick and sudden,I pushed really suddenly and urgently to get out and I would be born in the car if my mother waited 10 more minutes.But her pain was very bad.I was delivered normally and without an epidural.

CC, I have no contact with my mother at mo, but I remember her saying to me years ago I had umbilical cord round my neck and if the birth was any more delayed, I wouldn't have made it. I so didn't want to be born, ,LOL!

I think that the subject should be divided, umbilical cord around the neck does not necessarily create a situation of asphyxia, although in your case and mine it obviously did lead to asphyxia.

I have a friend who has cerebral palsy caused by negligence at birth. She has Pisces rising and her Asc forms a grand cross with Saturn on the Dsc, Venus on the MC and Neptune on the IC. There was a lot of mystery surrounding her birth as she was the product of an affair, her mother kept her pregnancy a secret from her family and was given up for adoption at birth.

I remember reading somewhere that a higher degree of birth complications occur when a stationary planet is rising. This triggered my memory because when I read hospital records of my birth it said that the birth had to be sped up (by forceps) due to "foetal distress". I was born healthy though without any complications - Jupiter is stationary direct almost 9 degrees behind my Asc (in a different sign) - it was probably on or very near the Asc when the "foetal distress" was observed.

Leo Sun Conjuct Leo Asc, so ofcourse i was first child and first grandchild and first greatgrandchild!!! lol took all the titles before anyone could snatch em up!! Also i was born about 24 days early guess i really didnt want to miss the oppurtunity to be a leo!! Hmmm also my birth was natural, my mother was crowning in the elevator so... my birth was quick i think about 20 mins or so... dont know which planet to attribute that too, although i have neptune and uranus both inconjunct the ASC.

This is a great topic,... very interesting.

My daughter was born with Pluto exactly conjunct her Sagittarius Ascendant. Her birth was completely uncomplicated, though she was about a week early but, that isn't significant and certainly could just be that she was on time.

I have a friend whose daughter was born with Uranus on the Ascendant. She had her at home and says that, when her daughter finally pushed through, one of the oxygen tanks in the room malfunctioned unexplicably. Other than that though, the birth process itself, was uncomplicated, and all were healthy and happy.

In my case, I was born 3 weeks early, and had the cord wrapped around my neck but, have nothing closely conjunct my Scorpio Ascendant. I do, however, have a few that are in opposition. I also have no hard aspects to my Moon.
My husband was also born 3 weeks early though, and has Neptune within 5 degrees of his Sagittarius Ascendant,... don't know how close the orb should be to consider it conjunct though...?

I am Pisces 18 degrees rising with Mars retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces.
I was born a month early. Normal FAST delivery. No surgery required but I was in an incubator. I have Venus closely trine my rising so that might've bailed me out.

This is not the only planetary position which matters at the time of birth. The phase of the Moon could be critical. Waxing or waning matters, waxing is good. It also matters if it is a day or night, the position of Ascendant ruller and aspects to him from the other planets. There are other factors as well.
Uranus (in fact, as well as any other "heavy" planet and Saturn) could give a lot of complications in such a position, for the child and for the mother. But again, depends on other factors.

My Mom had me in less than 2 hours. I have Pisces rising 18 degrees
with RETROGRADE Mars in Pisces 22 degrees literally backing into my rising.

I was born a month early...no c section for my mom. (I say that because Mars is known to cut)

My oldest daughter is Sag 10 degrees rising with Uranus in Sag 2 degrees retrograde so going away from her rising.....but my labor with her was 4 hours from start to finish...no c sections. BUT I also have Venus in Cancer in the 5th house.....child birth was very easy for me both times.

My youngest daughter is Leo rising 11 degrees with no planets in Leo. My labor with her was 2 hours from start to finish.

Again with my oldest daughter, she had my grandson who is Sag rising like his Mom, only he is 6 degrees. He has Pluto in Sag 15 degrees so not within orb tho his Pluto is retrograde. He was a quick delivery for my daughter.....4 hours....no C section BUT he was born with a very small pneumothorax which is a collapsed lung. He was in ICU for a day just for observation and was fine....been in great health ever since. His natal Mars is in Leo 7 degrees in trine to his rising....so that might have bearing. His Mom, my daughter, ALSO has Venus in the 5th house and I think that just makes our labors easy.

My niece is libra rising. (very close to her nan a libra sun)
she is disabled - saturn in 6th house in pisces sq sun etc.
She has cerebral palsy.
DOB 2.12.1994

She has nothing by asc. ie within 9 degree orb. I had to look her chart up.

she has chiron in 12th

venus in first/closer to 2nd. she is very pretty.

My natal ascendant degree (in Virgo) was besieged with Saturn close by in lower degrees of Virgo and Mars close by in higher degrees of Virgo; the birth was long and required extensive use of forceps, leaving numerous black and blue marks on my face (according to my mother's recollection)

Looks like Saturn is a real pain. Until now, in all the charts where it is on the Ascendant, it has created difficult and long labour.

I have mars in libra 27 degrees. My ascendant is scorpio 8 degress.
my birth was at home. but my mum had suffered physical abuse from my father up untilt he time of my birth (and after) apparently her womb was black and blue there was so much bruising.
my mum is a libra sun.
(she had lost two babies by miscarriage prior to my birth)

My brother has Venus conjunct his ascendant in Taurus and his birth was extremely complicated. He was born with very low birth weight, had oxygen problems, and was kept in the NICU for 2 weeks. He does have Venus/Ascendant oppose Pluto though.

My bf was born with Moon/Saturn/Pluto conjunct ascendant and everything went fine with him (to my knowledge as his mother only speaks of her other pregnancies)...
