12th house Libra stellium

Hello, everybody
I would like to ask for you to comment on some of my birth chart aspects. I have a 12th house stellium in Libra with Saturn-Jupiter-Sun-Pluto conjunction and a close Mercury-Ascendant (although both already in Scorpio)-Pluto conjunction. I'm aware of most individual meanings of these conjunctions, but I'm more interested in the meaning of the combination and how does 6th house Aries Moon opposition ties in all of this mess..
In conclusion, I would immensely appreciate any comments you might have.

Re: 12th house Libra stellium

Welcome to AW,

You have a bucket chart with Moon as handle. Moon is also Apex for 'kite' formation so researching these should help lots.
Bucket chart
http://www.myastrologybook.com/Bucket-planetary-pattern-astrology.htm
http://en.mimi.hu/astrology/bucket.html
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aspects2.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natal_astrology#Aspect_patterns
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/funnel.html

http://www.therealastrology.com/HTML...erns.html#Kite

so basically anything transiting over that moon will set off its aspects.

Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.

So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....

Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...

Remember back to your school days an opposition is 180', square 90', trine 120', and sextile 60' Now challenged aspects are conj (depending on the planets, cos some like each other and some really don't) squares and oppositions. Easy aspects are conj (if the planets get along) eg: Jupiter conj Moon, sextile and trine. Quincunx is inbetween (depending on the planets) causes health strains and unresolved or hard to balance planets/energies.

My way of helping newcomers is for them to do more research and learning rather than just ‘drop the answer in your lap’ and not necessarily to provide professional readings and forecast future events. If you are truly interested in astrology, I and most others here will help you…..

Having a Sagittarius MC which is the sign of the teacher and I do indeed teach astrology. This forum is a wonderful community of all mixed levels and types of astrologers. So I may provide links to encourage you in the hope that if you are sincerely interested enough you will do the research and enlighten yourself….

Noticeably you have a lack of earth element in your chart

When transiting Uranus gets to conj your Moon it will set off a chain of events for major transformations with work, health and emotional contacts.

Re: 12th house Libra stellium

Hello, astrologer50
I was really delighted to receive your answer and I assure you that it was not my intention to just come here for a complete birthchart analysis, I'm sorry if it looked like that.
As for my interest in astrology, I'm aware of most of the basic astrology stuff - planets, signs, houses, angular aspects etc. Which is most likely not enough as I can't grasp the bigger picture yet. What I completely lack is understanding of how transits relate to my BC, also relations concerning sign/house rulers and many other things.
And now, off to try all the links you've kindly provided
Thank You once more.

Re: 12th house Libra stellium

Transits over the BC positions tend to activate the planets involved, during the time of (and for some time following) such transits. The "big boys" (slower moving planets) tend to cause more activation (ie, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter) than the faster moving planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus) Mars kind of being in the middle ground. Now the above is pretty well agreed on (as far as any categorical statement can be agreed on among astrologers!), and there are several good books dealing with transits and their ramifications.

Now for my own-different/non-standard unorthodox-outlook on transits.
(NOTE: Students and beginners should stop reading this post now)
In my approach I only count transits by partile (exact) conjunction of the transiting planet with the natal planet or natal angle (I do not consider any other aspects relating to the transiting planet and natal positions) And, in addition to being partile conjunct with the natal planet or angle position, the transiting planet must also be within 1 degree of the same parallel of declination with the declination of the natal planet or angle. If the transiting planet fails either the conjunction or parallel of declination "test", I do not consider it. However, if the transiting planet passes both conjunction and parallel of declination, I consider the transit quite important-here even a Moon transit, matching these criteria, I have often found to posses significant effects.

Re: 12th house Libra stellium

Whew, that was some reading, Astrologer50 Thank you - I've managed to grasp a little bit bigger picture. I've also got to the transits already and can start to interpret or forecast some of them. This is just great
As for Moon being an essential planet.. well, I've lost my mother in my teen years, so I guess this loss is going to influence my whole life or at least till I manage to heal it. As for the stellium in Libra 12th and Pluto-Merc-Asc conjunction, I still have lots of uncertainities.
Ok, my Saturn and Jupiter there kind of match the path I've chosen some 10 years ago (of course, without knowing my planet disposition ) - Law, but how does additional Sun+Pluto conj tie into this? And Moon opposition? Sun and Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions can be benefitial in a long run as I understand, but Moon with it's emotional problems.. :/
Maybe I should somehow check how the planets relate now, when I've just stepped into my second third of my life (I hope)
Anyway, the help of both of you is really appreciated. I'm hoping to find some time for a more deep studies now..

Transits
I use--- 1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing. If you click on the link listed below for the online ephemeris it will list all planets at any given time. Learning astrology is like learning a new ‘language’ and obviously the more effort you put into something the more your knowledge and understanding will increase. All transits act as ‘background’ influences through a house, until it makes a mathematical aspect to a planet inside or an Angle.

For 'timings' I would look to the retrograde hit as the most important trigger, then look to see what the quicker planets are doing especially mars & mercury --

astro.com has fee six month transit forecast plus when you get into Extended chart selection, look at the three tabs after calculating a chart under ‘method’ default is circular wheels (on left), middle is special charts and in their you get graphic ephemeris 1yr (or 5years) with natal = transits for 1yr and lots more. BUT you first must learn or memorise the 'glyphs' ie: shorthand for recognising what these maps/graphics mean.

For example when you post or reply to a chart the 'smilies' to the right and just under them [more] if you click on there it will bring up a whole loads of 'glyphs' Mercury Uranus conjunction (+or - 8') trine aspect 120' Libra

http://cafeastrology.com/transits.html

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/learn-astrology/astrology-glyphs.php
http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/dkfoundation/BookTransitsAndProgressions.htm

Now it's more important to focus on transits from Jupiter to Pluto (poss mars as this is the ignition key)and these planets when aspecting something in your natal chart 'set off' the difficult or nice 'aspects - potential - problems' that your chart expresses. By that I mean if a benefic planet like Jupiter hits/touches/transits your venus, mars or uranus these could be experienced very pleasantly. BUT if your natal venus is afflicted, or badly aspected say conj saturn then jupiter will not has such a good effect. It all depends on how the natal planet is 'aspected'

For me I would say external 'events' must be seen by transits, progressions or Solar arcs to Angles ie: Asc/Desc & MC/IC most other times these events are 'internal, psychological matters as in between the ears'

This last website link is rather nice because it gives interpretations of what the ‘Lord’ of the house cusp ruler means ie: T Jupiter sextiles natal sun, so wherever Leo rules in your chart is connected to the area this transit will be affecting –

Re: 12th house Libra stellium

I've spent a good part of yesterday getting into transit interpretation and it's so much fun it's just some aspects of it - for example "1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing.", angles to my AC/DC, MC/IC, progressions, house rulers and their relations to natal planets are still a bit too complicated for me. But I'm working on it Oh, and I've memorized all the main glyphs, so no need to jump to check everytime anymore.
Actually, I'm more interested in self analysis/improvement at the moment, in contrast with future forecasts, as I think it's more important to know yourself so you could deal with everything life throws at you.
So for my BC analysis the most important things are (by importance):
1. Moon (in sign, house, aspects to other planets, especially opposition tu the Stellia, to sign/house rulers (?), what planets are in the house moon is the ruler(?))
2. Stellium/Stellia - Saturn/Jupiter/Sun/Pluto (conjunction, sign, house) and Pluto/Mercury/Ascendant (conjunction, sign) and their relation to the Moon.
3. Also my bucket side planets - Mars and Neptune (signs, houses, aspects, rulers(?))
4. Square between Venus/Uran and Mars (in signs/houses, rulers?)
5. Bucket/Kite formation specifics
6. What about MC/IC nodes? As I understand it's career/home in certain signs
7. True Node and Chiron? are they really important?
8. Planet movement (i.e. retrograde or not) - is there a significant difference in interpretation?
9. Planet angles in signs - is there a difference in which 1/3 (or other part)of the sign they are?

Are there some rules on how to build my own interpretation? (Center figure/fundament and so on).
Ok, many questions, none really requiring an answer, but I thought I'll just show what I think I know so you could give me some tips if you felt like it's worth giving any )
Anyway, thenks for your help, this forum is just what I needed

House systems
Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

The Angles ARE MC/IC Asc/Desc. House rulers are used in natal chart interpretations not predictive matters.

Actually, I'm more interested in self analysis/improvement at the moment, (lovely to hear this) in contrast with future forecasts, as I think it's more important to know yourself so you could deal with everything life throws at you.
So for my BC analysis the most important things are (by importance):Sun, Moon and Asc, Chart ruler -what house it's placed, any stelliums,
MC is our professional image and how we want to be perceived in society, career/workwise, what we are/become known for which is different from Asc or sun sign
I have Saggi MC and can behave like extrovert sagg, teach, have interests in 9th house matters, religion, law, philosophy, always enjoy learning new things. But that's not the real me either, the real me is the 'sun sign' think of a glass milk bottle, the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck. The bottle being the Asc sign and most visible to other.

Plus the Asc sign is the chemistry, lust and attraction factor when boy meets girl, it's what gets a relationship going. BUT have you never heard (even from your school days) that after a few weeks or months, that mask and persona has to drop and you have to get to know the person underneath and that's totally different to the image we 'project' outwards.

7. True Node and Chiron? are they really important? leave til last
8. Planet movement (i.e. retrograde or not) - is there a significant difference in interpretation? retrograde planets natally are not easily expressed in fact they go inwards before they come out

9. Planet angles in signs - is there a difference in which 1/3 (or other part)of the sign they are? Angular house are the most important
Houses: angular houses 1/7 4/10 the energies of planets placed here are obvious cos it's your 'shop window' visible for everyone to see. Next the succeedent houses 2/8 & 5/11 the energies in these houses are not in shop window the are in the shop, but stood behind the counter, ready to come out when needed. Lastly, cadent houses 6/12 & 3/9 these houses/planets are not in shop window or stood behind the counter, they are in the back storeroom and only come out when 'triggered' or an emergency and much harder to recognise and access...

The houses are like the backdrop of a stage, the setting if you like, the planets are like actors and the aspects are how the planets behave in that settings/stage....

Are there some rules on how to build my own interpretation? (Center figure/fundament and so on). Start with planets in signs, then planets in houses, then 'aspects'

Ok, many questions, none really requiring an answer, but I thought I'll just show what I think I know so you could give me some tips if you felt like it's worth giving any )
Anyway, thenks for your help, this forum is just what I needed

“The angles of the chart are the strongest, most potent sectors. In most house systems these mark the beginnings of the first, tenth, seventh and fourth houses, in order of potency. Any planet in conjunction with an angle will have a marked influence that resonates throughout the chart and greatly colours its overall meaning. Planets located in the angles of the chart are the strongest and most significant. Because of their primary importance, the angles are often referred to as the cardinal points and they relate directly to the cardinal directions east, south, west and north.”
http://www.astrologycom.com/houses.html

“The eleventh, second, eighth and fifth houses are called succedent ("following" the angles), while the third, twelfth, ninth and sixth are termed cadent ("falling away" from the angles). The succedents are next in strength. Planets in succedent houses function at around 50% of their power, based on the strength of an angular placement, which is the most potent. The cadent houses are traditionally held to be poor and of little efficacy. According to traditional astrology, planets in cadent houses only function at 25% of their power, compared with a position in one of the angles of the chart. The succedent houses follow the angles; the cadent houses come after the succedents.”
