Please help me figure out angular separation between the Sun and Venus in my chart?
Can some help me figure out how to figure out the angular separation between the Sun and Venus in my chart?
I was told that, "advancing either of these astrological bodies to the other based on the solar arc often indicates a period of marriage possibility for many, this would be of particular interest if the angle between them was some 18 to 25 degrees of distance ---- ages when many are considering marriage."
I know I cant be looking at this right because I am 26 and to me it looks like there is a 20 degree distance between the Sun and Venus in my charts. So according to this, I should have married at 20? I must be doing this wrong *lol*
thanks!

Ruler of 7th (marriage house) is Neptune conj IC, ruler of 5th house of love affairs and romance is Saturn and these two are well aspected ie: sextile aspect. You do however have venus square neptune which is classic 'rose tinted glasses' syndrome. Venus is also conj 7th house cusp (within 5') and is considered more effective in the 7th 'exalted' in sign of pisces (well placed)
on a slightly more negative side your aries sun is quincunxed saturn (father, men and/or autority figures)
Sun Quincunx (Inconjunct) Saturn

Re: Please help me figure out angular separation between the Sun and Venus in my char
This is a theory that is not valid.
You need to watch for transits and progressions to your 7th house for marriage. Starting often with the 5th house of lovers. Watch for transits to your Venus and then to the Sun in the 7th. Someone born around March April is possible. When a transitting planet hits either of these planets and has an aspect that is already in your natal chart, that is the time.
You have Venus near the cusp and the Sun in the 7th and good aspects to the third so you may be a school friend of your partner, met in a study group, whilst travelling or in the local neighbourhood. Perhaps connected to a sibling?? The ruler of your 5th house of romance is als in the 3rd. You have Venus in Pisces square Neptune and have to watch for the rose coloured glasses, deception and addictions with this one. Need to keep it as real as possible. Also watch for the victim saviour complex which ultimately is not satisfactory.
Some people have Venus conjunct Sun so what then? I have 45 degrees separation with Sun and Venus and I didnt consider marriage at that age.

thanks, I will keep that in mind. I can't believe how much I forgot about astrology because all of that sounds like Chinese to me. I really need to start spending more time on here again..

I have long time boyfriend. We have a rocky history but right now we are talking about getting engaged. He was born in April. On the Aries/Taurus Cusp (but technically, he is a Taurus).

i know I'm not married yet so I can't really give much feedback (and what I have to say may be premature) but I would like to share that I met my long time boyfriend in the library--so you're good! I met him when I was attending a Northeastern university (I am originally from the West Coast). So that's 2 in a row that you've been right...

yeah, i have been careful not to get carried away when I first meet someone. before, when i first meet someone and if there is a mutual attraction, i can't help but start envisioning marriage.lol. Yeah, I used to feel the need to save my partner's from their addictions/problems but I realized that I need to focus on myself since I have so many issues of my own..
Thanks, Claire19, for helping me with this.

does that usually indicate that I will marry someone abusive? I wouldn't be shocked. My current bf is pretty controlling.

this is true, if this person is a romantic partner or a family member. I used to like to do my friends' work for them, too but then I started to realize, I need to let them do their own work because when I need help, no one offers to do my work for me. In fact, they leave me to my own devices.

that would be cool. when i was younger, i used to dream of moving to a foreign land and marrying a foreigner. now i just date people of a different race. Closest thing I can get to foreign right now.

yeah, I suppose when it comes to relationships, I'm not really naturally logical. To make up for it, I tend to over analyze things. my partners complain that i jump around a lot from being over emotional to super cold and being too cerebral...to the point of being emotionally out of touch.
Thanks, Astrologer, for helping me

Re: Please help me figure out angular separation between the Sun and Venus in my char
I suggest you try using Tertiary Directions (TDH 1 & TDH 2),for Sun/Venus contacts with regards to marriage.
I recommend the book 'Dynamic Astrology' (In the light of Science),by Sven Frederik Fischer Svensson.

thank you, J.R.R
I know that the book you mentioned isn't a horary astrology book but I just want to share that I have the book Horary Astrology Plain and Simple by Anthony Louis and the material wasn't plain and simple at all to me. Hopefully, the book you recommended will be easier to follow. thanks again
