What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Hallo horary viewers,
Question: What will come of my interview?
Background: Interview was today, find out in a month, want the job, stiff competition
What I think:
Ascendant: Cappie. Positive tone for the question. Not early, not late.
Myself: Saturn, in Leo 8H. Saturn is debilitated by sign, under sunbeams, and not dignified by term. It is also accidentally debilitated by being in the 8th house. Mmm…Saturn is not happy.
Ok, now the interview. Virgo is on 10H house cusp, so significator for my interview is mercury. Mercury is retrograde in cancer in the 7H. Retrograde means weakened, or at least delayed. However, Mercury gains dignity by term and face. Also, mercury and moon are moving into a conjunction. The moon, as general co-significator of my question/self, is in home rulership in Cancer. If my assumptions are well founded, it also receives mercury by term and face. I think Saturn receives Mercury by term.
The last aspect the moon will make is a trine to the North Node in fourth house cancer. I think a final lunar trine to NN is significant. I will feel that the outcome is “fated”, in a good way?
Ok, I think that the job isn't mine.....Saturn is in too poor a shape, and there is no strong reception between itself and Mercury.

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Hallo....
Please, if anyone has a simple yes/no sort of answer to this question, I would greatly appreciate it. I don't need an essay answer, but naturally I would love to find out if I have the job without waiting a whole month!

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
You are right; the job is not yours. Just look at the significator of your rival(s).
Cancer on the ccup of the 7th - rivals signified by the Moon. the Moon is dignified both essentially and accidentally by being in it's own sign (Cancer) and it's on turne 1st house. Mercury (the job) is also at the turned 1st where the Moon applies to it by a conjunction. The Rx motion of Mercury leaves me under the impression that the job will not be given through correct channels, like some sort of corruption is happening.
The job belongs to a rival, a very strong one.
Sorry.

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Thankyou for answering!!
I hadn't thought of using 7H to signify job rivals. Now it makes a lot of sense
Well, a panel of three interviewed sixty people, of which they will hire twenty. So it's not one rival, it's more like 59 rivals and it sounds like at least 20 of them are in a better position than me!! Given that it's a government beauracracy and the interviewing involved three people, real corruption seems unlikely, but of course these things are never entirely 'objective'. Also, my particular interview was delayed. Perhaps that it mercury Rx.
Oh well, luckily I have other things in the fire, so to speak. Thanks Sorehearted

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Although the 7th house shows all your rival, I used it to describe the one that is most likely to land the job.
Hmm.. maybe corruption is a big word. You're right; what is shown in the chart can also be describe as subjective.
Dang that Mercury Rx. I assume that there's no way of contacting those guys again now that Mercury is direct, huh?

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
UPDATE:
I am still in the running for this job (god the running is taking so long!!)
1000 applications, 60 interviews, 25 shortlisted.....including me!!!
I am in the top 25 out of 1000, wohoooo!! I also learned that the average recruit into this program is at least four years older than me. I am cooler than I thought I was, haha
However, they still have to cut five people. They only hire 20. I'll know by the end of the week. It's nice to know I'm this close, even if I don't make it to the end. I'm not going to ask another horary question, I'm just going to wait, darn it

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
I got the Job!!!!!!
I also have some theories for why this horary didn't seem to suggest that I would. For one, it took MONTHS to find out. Secondly, I was not listed in the orginal top 20 who received "first offers". I was ranked number 23, and received my offer because 4 of the original 20 declined to take the job. Can you see that anywhere in the chart? Or is this chart simply saying "you won't win outright", and I would have had to asked another question later to get a more accurate answer?

Perhaps the key to understanding this chart was all in Mercury and the Moon.
We have a retrogradation of Mercury. Mercury is in the 7th house, the house of the other candidates. Mercury conjuncts the Moon by retrogradation. The Moon is getting nearer to Mercury.
The others seem to be getting the job.
In spite of this seemingly good indications, notice that Mercury is not only Rx, but also combust. The Moon is still under the Sun's beam. So it is Saturn, but Saturn is moving out of the Sun's beam. So it's less maleficated than the Moon.
Guido Bonatti said that an affliction of the Moon is far worser than an affliction of the Lord of the Ascendant.
To me this affliction of the Moon - conjunct a Rx and burnt planet, and herself burnt means that in the end the planet could not perform. Hence the other candidates did not accept the job.
The Moon is conjunct Castor. Castor gives a brilliant mind, but indicates mental instability also, and has the meaning of breaking an arm or leg.
Retrospectively what I can "see" here is a selection committee "going backwards and forwards", other candidates who "cannot be seen clearly" (Moon under the beams and burnt and RX Mercury) and in the end are unable to act (Castor=breaking arms and legs)

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Yay! Congratulations, Howl *does a little dance*.
Now that you're gonna be rich, you should buy us all expensive astrology programs
Seriously now, here's what I think I missed. Although the Moon signifies a rival, it also co-signifies you. It's next aspect is also its final aspect traditional, and it takes place with Mercury, the significator of the job. I took it too for by considering rivals when the phrasing of your question didn't mention any. I should be more careful in the future, it's not the first horary I get wrong under Mercury Rx.
Alright.. back to the celebration *goes on with the dance*

Re: What will come of my interview? (my version!)
Yay!! thanks guys
I don't think that you got it entirely wrong, Sorehearted. You were accurate in as much as that I wouldn't get a "yes" outright, or a "yes" soon. I think a new chart was called for when I first learned that I was in the top 25
Thanks for the dancing!! The (relative) wealthiness begins in Feb next year, try your luck then with the expensive astrology gifts
