Olympic riots in Vancouver

I live here in Vancouver, and the Olympic protestors got way way out of hand here in downtown Vancouver today. This is very unusual for Vancouver....very unusual indeed. They smashed in department store windows, bank windows and car windows. Police had to get riot gear out!! And there was the luger that was killed instantly yesterday. It all sounds very Mars Uranus doesn't it.

Vancouver is an Aries, born April 6th, 1886, so since Mars rules Vancouver, perhaps Mars retrograde is one reason for this explosion of violence? The other very interesting thing, is that the Vancouver Police have been having a really rough time over the past year or so. Cops have been charged for drunk driving, for assault, for lots of awful things. They are getting a really bad rep. It seems to be ever since Mars entered into shadow period last year, which would've been last fall? Well, Saturn is on the Uranus of the Vancouver chart.

Interesting times.

Interestingly I'd heard nothing of this. I would have expected this to have been a bit of news given the prominence of the Olympics - seems to me like the sort of thing journalist seize upon.

You'd expect there to be a Uranus (revolutionary) feel about this. And Saturn (authority) to be involved.

I wonder if there's 12th house influence, or may be just the transition of Jupiter into Pisces, as the Olympics are about the world spirit yet there seems to be some hidden stuff going on?

Bear in mind, Pluto is squaring the Vancouver Uranus (5Lib) and Jupiter opposition Mars.

From what I've seen, Canada wasn't nearly as affected by the recession as others (I'm not saying that's good/bad/fair/unfair), but when times are tough,
people do that. It's basic groundwork in both psychology and economics. I knew it from the moment people started saying recession that this would happen. This is one of my biggest problems with capitalism; people steal because of inequality mostly (drug problems etc. too but still...). Sounds like a world with the Moon in the 2nd house, that stuff doesn't happen nearly as much when the money is flowing into everyone's hands...

Of course its good...I live here ! I'm grateful and thrilled that I live in such an amazing country!

No, we're not nearly as affected as the States is, but the US is a country of extremes in everything, from their cannabilistic media, pedestal placing celebrity culture, politics (where everyone is labeled according to their political affilitation), and even to extremes in weight. I would expect them to be way more reactive, no matter what the situation is.

I can tell you that we are still quite affected though. My client base has dropped by more than 60 % in the last year. Everyone is having a really tough time, and of course there is job loss. It is what it is. I was merely pointing out the chart of Vancouver and how its an Aries.
