Will / did the futon sell?

Hello!

I have an item up for sale for over two months now on ebay.

I asked a horary, "will the futon sell"? - its a thai massage futon mattress.

I thought this might be a nice test horary. I cast the chart just after I most recently put it up on ebay.

My money is Mercury
The buyers money would be Jupiter

POF is in 2nd house, promising for me and my money.
Me/Sun is in the 5th house, taking another gamble that it will sell, in Capricorn, its business, well I'm selling for the spare cash (as well as the space in case I move house again in the near future)...!

Venus cazimi Sun, .. these two are in the 5th house so the gamble (5th) could be a positive one for me with Venus being a benefic and Venus traditionally rules money - money coming to me from a gamble? Venus rules the 3rd house, communications/internet comms/ebay? I think ebay is quite a 5th house organisation, its a game bidding on all those items. As well as North Node being there with those two, that also looks like a positive gamble..

Moon trines Mars first, Mars in the 12th retro looks like a pretty bad maelific.

Sun quincunx ascendant - not sure what that means. An adjustment?

Well, Moon trines ascendant in 9 degrees, from the date of the chart, the 11th Jan brings us to 20th, which is today exactly!!

Then Moon sextiles Jupiter. There is weak mutual reception. Juptier on Moon face, Mercury triplicity. Moon in Jupiter's house (peregrine, I've never been sure what that means). Mercury in Jupiter's fall and about to retrograde into Jupiters terms.

Did the futon sell? The thing that bothers me about this is that I was looking at Mercury as being the item you are selling and Saturn being the buyers and looking for an applying aspect between these two. Mercury Rx was applying towards a square to Saturn, which could be a yes answer, but after some difficulty, but, just before Mercury would perfect its square, it turned direct, and Saturn went Rx prohibiting perfection (also known as frustration) Also, if you look between you (Sun) and potential buyers (Saturn) the square aspect has already occured after you have asked the question. Also, you are in the buyers sign, showing to me you are in some way at their mercy. Then I looked to see how the buyers money is and if it would aspect your significator. Again, no aspect between the buyers finances and your significator. In fact, the potential buyers money is in your detriment. Could this mean they don't want to pay the price you are asking for the futon? I would say though, the Sun in the 5th may show it being a gamble or bidding type of situation, but also show that Ebay selling may be a hobby more than an occupation or profession. All in all, I would say that the indicators here show no sale at this time.

I would say Not yet or No. Mercury is retrograding towards a square with Saturn in the 2nd andis also ruled by Saturn. Part of Fortune is conj. Saturn. As soon as Merc turns direct, there would be more of a chance. It will take time, Saturn slows things down considerably.

OOPS, correction here. Mercury will not reach the 4° and will have turned direct on the 15th, so there is a chance that it will be sold, but like I said, probably with delay and you wont get much money for it I think.

Yes it did sell, today! I'd nearly given up hope!

The person is picking it up in 2 days, and the payment has gone through. I got a reasonable price, its worth more and they will be very pleased with it, I'm glad its gone to a good home and I'll have some more space.

It looks like the Moon trine to the Ascendant showed the timing, degrees to days.

I'm still not sure what the Moon/Mars trine meant..

Them being Saturn doesnt aspect Mercury.

Maybe it was the final Moon sextile to Jupiter even with weak reception that pulled it off.

The key is using the right significator and looking for more than one indicator of a 'yes'.
First house =personal interests, efforts to get ahead...sun in the fifth
second house =movable goods, money, income potential wealth. At first glance this seems to be the right rulership for the querant or question=ruled by mercury retrograde fifth
3rd is communication ruled by venus in the 5th, venus rules money, movable goods and luxury items.
5th is risk taking, speculation, agents of the querent...with mercury and venus and the sun in the 5th this was a speculation? or the internet itself..I am going to focus now on the 5th to see what answers it is telling me.
Since venus, ruler of movable goods and luxury items is cazimi it makes it very strong (cazimi is 0 to 17 minutes from the sun) and in the 5th increases its strength...
this is good. This alone may indicate a sale..the goods are doubly strong in the house of risk taking.
21 degrees of Capricorn in a night chart has mars exalted, moon in tripl, mars in term and face.
Mars rules the 9th of advertising and the 4th or end of the matter.
The last aspect of the moon is to Jupiter in the 7th ruler of the 8th house of others movable goods and to the 5th of risk taking (that alone might be a yes).
Mars is in Jupiters trip (in a night chart) ...thus the end of the matter ..Moon is in Jupiters house...thus jupiter or others money is receptive to advertising and the goods pass to another...
so the key is looking for rulership...we can look at mercury but venus more aptly describes it since it is so close to the sun, ruler of the first house.
Of course it is easier to work it backwards...hindsight is always 20/20
Looking at mercury as ruler of movable goods it is retrograde indicating a change of mind. In the 6th degree of cap in a night chart again mars is exalted or advertising (did you change your ad?) It is in its own term and again jupiters face...
the 11t house is ones business clients too so we might be able to add that to the story and it is ruled by the same mercury that rules the 2nd indicating an accord...
however....the bad news is this could imply that the business client changes their mind...though it never reaches saturn ...disappointment.

I sold it today, the lady turned up, the money has gone through with Paypal, all is done! What a surpise as well, she was one of the students that I studied the massage with, we were both pleasently surprised to see each other! Ah that was great, I know its gone to a good home.

I find it weird that Mercury doesnt aspect anything. But I guess its a question about someone elses money, the 8th house.. and Moon sextiles that. I dont have a clue what that Mars indicates, ah ha, or maybe Mars ruling the end of the matter 4th house, Moon trine Mars indicates a yes. However Mars is still considered a maelific. Puzzling that one.

List it on craigslist.....just don't do this during the full moon!!! You will attract every nut and craiglist is full of them. When the moon starts into a waning phase then post a listing. Focus on the futon "going out" and money coming in. For some reason I sense you really want rid of this thing.

I really appreciate the suggestion, I have sold it I'm pleased to say.

I like to use the Moon phases to do things like this. I think I used Ebay to sell it, but will consider Craigslist next time, never knew they had so much stuff on there!
