Medical Astrology Astrological diagnoses and other health issues are discussed here. Given that there are so many outer and inner influences on one's health (alimentation, sports, medication, past medical antecedents, state of mind, etc.), an astrological diagnosis is only one of many things to consider when determining your healthiness.

My Surgery

Hi everyone, I have day surgery booked for the 8 Dec 09 to remove 2 polyps in my uterus. I have only been told that it will be the afternoon. I need to call the afternoon before the get the actual time.

I am extremely worried, about the anesthesia, not worried about the actual surgery. I have never been drug-induced put to sleep and it scares me...

So after over a year of trying to conceive, which I think some members might remember my "am I pregnant" charts, I finally get some action.

I know zero about surgery charts but have had a look at other threads and some of Caroles comments on this thead: http://astrologyweekly.com/forum/sho...hlight=surgery

Moon - The Moon is VOC before 6.30am, I think I remember someone said give it 3 hours either side of a VOC, so that makes it 9.30am. I was told the surgery will be in the afternoon, so I look safe in that area.

Quote:
The transiting Moon shouldn't be in the sign that rules the part of the body where you will have the operation, or the opposite sign.
A little confused about this comment, but the 8th house governs the Uterus??? The transitting Moon is in my 5th of fertility, so I am a bit confused - is this good or bad?

The Moon is in a Virgo, I was hoping I would get the 7th as Leo is a fixed sign, but I am lucky to get in as soon as I did, and before Mars and Mercury turned retrograde. So I am stuck with Virgo.

Now I am pretty sure the Moon is waning, so in a good phase to limit bleeding. If I am wrong please correct me... and I might even cancel surgery.

Planet Directions - All planets are DIRECT - yeah for Uranus, thank goodness and no planets changed direction on the same day.

Eclipes - No I think the last eclipse was in Jun/Jul and the next one in Jan, so again I think it looks safe.

If anyone could help me in having a look and letting me know if they find anything bad or evil I would really appreciate it.

I have noticed in my transits for that day that I have the T Moon opposite N Mars. If anyone has any ideas on this one - do tell me.

Edit: Please remembr when looking at the Surgery chart it is a approx time (middle of afternoon) as I dont have the time yet.

[Moderator note - as poster requests two different kinds of readings: electional and natal-medical, the electional-astrology part (along with the chart) has been moved to the 'Electional Astrology' board. Please continue here with the natal-med reading only, and go for the electional-astro part to the thread: My Surgery. Links have been left on both the threads, should you need to check what is happening in the one chart or the other.]

Re: My Surgery

Oh, I see your chart now. It is a little hard to read. brb It looks uneventful and in your favor Sun venus, the light will shine on the venus (female) parts and I think they will get to the root of the problem, that mercury conj pluto in the 1st. Well I wouldn't worry too too much about the anesthesia, that neptune is not too prominent in the chart, for the time you cast anyway. I know surgery never goes on, on time. Be sure and take a look at the charts for the next few hours as well and the recovery. I think it wll be done and overwith and fixed. I see your natal, that mars in the 11th, surgery necessary for childbirth, so this could be it, and maybe a c section lies ahead.

Good luck and I am sending you good vibes from the USA!

What house would Neptune be bad in for anesthesia?

I was wondering what effect the T Saturn in the 6th quincunx N Mars in the 11th was having on me, a light blub has just turned on. N Mars is also opposite N Saturn in the 5th, forced surgery to conceive? Oh great about the C section too :-)... but at least I will have a baby!

Thankyou for your help.

Re: My Surgery

Kerrie,

The uterus is ruled by Cancer/Moon, so it is very important to have a look at 'the condition' of your natal Moon, especially so, whenever there are issues with the female organs (breast, womb, uterus).

In a chart, planets in the first house (general physical constitution) always gain special prominence, so, in your case, that is the Moon and everything related to it. Though the Moon is strongly placed in Tau, yet it is in a tight aspect to Sat. Sat denotes anything hard, constrictive, blocking, etc, and in the area of Medical Astrology: stones, cysts and the like. Now, as mentioned, Sat is in a close aspect to your Moon, but also to your Sun (basic phsyical health and vitality) and also widely opposes your Mars (Asc ruler); and, with that, almost every part associated with health. Further, the ruler of your 6th house, Mer, is in fall in Pisces. Now, in the last 2 yrs or so, Sat has been quite a theme in your chart, as you first had your Sat return, during which tr-Sat opposed your natal Sun and Mars, and now it has started its journey over your natal 6th house, and is opposing your 6th-house ruler, Mer. Hence, all the unattended or latent health issues are surfacing, so they can be fixed. See, Saturn likes to do a sort of a MOT test to see, if the body's engine (as 6th house involved here) is in order, or if something needs to be fixed. Then, tr-Ura also went over your Mars and Sun the last few yrs, setting all the natal aspects alive. However, I would say that it all started picking up weight about a yr ago or so. Placement of Pluto in the 6th, in opposition to your Asc, is not helpful either. However, as already mentioned, transit Sat is making all the issues surface now, so they can be dealt with in the correct manner (med-aid, etc), and you seem to be doing that already. By the bye, there is a thread on Medical Astrology on the Education Board, should you like to refer to it.

Btw, please read the moderator-note in the footer of your thread-initiating post, as the electional-astrology (which is read quite differently than natal) part of this thread, ie posts and chart, has been moved to the 'Electional Astrology' section of the forum, so this thread remains focused on Medical Astrology using natal-predictive methods. I strongly suggest that you include some natal-astrology interpretation from your side in your thread-header post.

All say SCORPIO rules the Uterus and is is 100% true. I am not going by this website but countless lessons, books and teachings I have experienced. Sorry Aq7.

Re: My Surgery

AquariusT,

Below is a list of sites that confirm that Cancer has rulership over the uterus, and perhaps you could find countless more links, books, etc that say the same. Hence, come to this site to share your own views, but please don't condemn others here or don't say that something is "100% true", and certainly don't tell others what they should or should not "believe" (no matter what you believe yourself). There are many contentious topics in Astrology, so it does well to not act as an authority over something as vast as Astrology, and to keep an open mind. Now, the list for further reading:

Re: My Surgery

I am all for an open mind. I am also for the general rules of astrology and cancer for the uterus is wrong. Scorpio rules the reproductive system, pelvic, uterus etc. Ask any scorpio sun or moon. LOL

Old rules still apply and this is why I hate the internet for spreading false information and new learners to Astrology will learn all the wrong information and will never do Astrology correctly.
