Transiting Pluto Conjunct Natal Jupiter in the 5th

A good friend of mine has become convinced her husband is getting ready to divorce her, her kids are going to become estranged from her and that she's doing a terrible job at work and is going to get fired. I don't see any of this. I know they think highly of her at work and I don't see the problems with her kids. I know things go on that I'm not aware of, but I think she's paranoid.

She has a peak Transiting Pluto conjunct her natal Jupiter on Sept. 11.

All the interpretations I've read focus primarily on the career, but with her natal Jupiter in the 5th, I think this has to do more with love relationships and children. Any thoughts?

Re: Transiting Pluto Conjunct Natal Jupiter in the 5th

This person has been having massive T Saturn transits, first to square venus (which if it was going to break a relationship would have done it then) then square sun then square to Moon... It's no wonder she has been feeling insecure about things..

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars espec are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

If you want to research more into Secondary progressions try here
http://cafeastrology.com/secondaryprogressions.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrological_progression

Now looking at T Pluto conj Jupiter, we look at how jupiter is aspected natally and this looks fine, all trines, sextiles and wide orb conj with Moon and even the moon is not strongly challenged either. So therefore, I don't expect any major disruptions when Pluto hits.

Pluto Transits Conjunct Jupiter
~Your perspective on what you want from life, what you are willing to do to get it and the values that you want to express undergoes a change. If you have been working in a direction that is compatible with your standards and your philosophical or religious views, you are likely to be effective. This thus becomes a time when your past faith and hard work are rewarded, bolstering your confidence and helping you to make even bigger plans for your future - plans that are based on a realistic and solid foundation.

http://cafeastrology.com/plutotransits.html

Jupiter is all about expansion, faith and is involved in a 'grand trine' with mars and uranus. Pluto is all about depth, breath and transformation. So perhaps relationships with children (jupiter 5th) and trine to Pluto in 1st and wide orb conj with moon with transform her pespectives. The trine from jupiter to mars is far too wide to be considered a trine.

Before all this Saturn transit was T Uranus squaring all sun, venus and moon with can cause irrational, impulsive behaviour and people having issue to do with freedom and independence to.

Hope this helps

Re: Transiting Pluto Conjunct Natal Jupiter in the 5th

If she was going to lose her job it would have happened when T Saturn squared venus/ruler of MC in June this year and now saturn has finished squaring sun. Middle August is Squared Moon which could have found her short of money and withdrawn emotionally.

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and master teacher, but really he's trying to teach us about ourselves. It wants us to be responsible, hard working, dutiful and learn our Lessons properly, so they won't have to keep being repeated. Therefore, is usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons.

What Saturn does is 'test' what is of value to you and what is working in your life. It wants structure and hard work. If something isn't working--- it may well end--- so something better can be put in it's place.

Thank you, Astrologer, for your interpretation. I'm sure this will be reassuring for her.

I tried to read and understand the articles on secondary progression you linked to. It's going to take some time to get my head around it.

Re: Transiting Pluto Conjunct Natal Jupiter in the 5th

With natal Jupiter in Capricorn in the 5th, I'd say that she has always been one to be in charge and on top of things where her kids are concerned. Tr Pluto has been causing this confidence to waver somewhat. That's normal, and quite OK, and not an indication of anything bad happening. I have been through tr Pluto conjunct natal Jupiter - quite recently - and I quite enjoyed it!!! It brought about a differing perspective regarding my beliefs - not necessarily my spiritual beliefs, which this transit strengthened, but my fearful and limiting beliefs - all of which needed to be ditched, as they were like dragging around heavy chains. She may be feeling this change deep within her, and freaking out because she is used to be quite on top of things, and Pluto tips the balance for a time. Keep in mind that Pluto never takes away what you need to keep in order to get through your life. It may rearrange your life, but will only oust that which is not in your best interests.

I notice 2 things in relation to her marriage-house - the 7th. Firstly, she has the triple conjunction between Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter occurring almost on her 7th house cusp. This will be opening her to all kinds of possibilities, and her newly found sensitivity (particularly with Neptune in the mix) can be playing with her sense of reality. Neptune crossing the 7th house cusp can render one at the same time paranoid, powerless and deeply negative about the relationships one shares with significant others. She's best not act upon this, but to just bide her time until she gets used to this energy change.
Also, I notice her solar arc Chiron is conjunct her natal Mars in Aries in the 9th, so what she is experiencing in relation to her husband may actually be an opportunity for healing something (possibly from early in her life) in relation to her father, or other significant male in her life. Perhaps her father left or died when she was young, and she has felt abandoned and betrayed by this. I'm just guessing now, but that is what this energy can be about - an opportunity to put to bed something from the past which she carries just beneath the surface of her consciousness.

That's very perceptive, R4ven. Her two daughters have been her life, her reason for being for so long and as they grow older and more independent, she's had to adjust. I've tried to be helpful and encouraging throughout this, but it has to be different for a man (my daughter is the same age as her younger daughter) than it is for a woman, wife, and mother.

I hadn't seen this before, when I originally posted, but I'm increasingly of the belief that she wants the divorce and is looking for justification for proceeding with one. I don't think she would admit it, but that's the feeling I get. Maybe that's where the distorted sense of reality comes into play.

I don't understand the concept of "solar arc", so perhaps you can explain that to me. In the meantime, I'm going to try and find out about her parents. We've never discussed that before. I do know she's a long way from her childhood home and has never been happy about it.

Thanks for replying. This is all good. I hope I can figure out a way to make it useful for her.

I tend to agree with you. She also has tr Uranus going through her 8th house - of sexual partnerships, business partnerships, shared income/resources - and Uranus usually drives us to throw out the old and make way for the new. Transiting Saturn in opposition to Uranus is going through her 2nd house, so she is looking hard at her own resources - what she's `worth' - and she just may be saying to herself (somewhere deep inside, where she can't quite hear herself clearly) that she deserves better than what she has. If not now, then she probably will during the next few months.

I haven't the time at present to go into an explanation of Solar Arcs here, but try this link:
http://www.cafeastrology.com/secondaryprogressions.html
(If this confuses you, perhaps Google it and see what you come up with. It took me a while before I `got' what solar arcs were about. They are so simple, believe me.....)

Absolutely correct. We've had several conversations about her finances. I think the only thing that has stopped her thus far is her fear that she will come out of this penniless. What started as fear that her husband was having an affair (or multiple affairs) is now a near-constant tirade about how poorly she's treated. Quite frankly, it's getting old.

Thanks. I did find a YouTube explanation of solar arcs and how to chart them. It made it fairly simple to comprehend.

This is actually video 2 of 3 (which is what I'm viewing now):

Solar Arcs
Solar arcs are really simple, especially for beginners, just move the Angles, Asc, Desc, MC, IC 1' for each year of your life onto planets and vice versa. Not just used for rectification either. Under age 12 though these interpretations are directed towards family changes, maybe relocation, job changes, illnesses, additions to family etc. Another example is my Pluto is 28' Leo in 7th house and my Uranus is 3' Leo in same house to subtract these and you get age 25. That year my then husband and I had an almighty explosion (Uranus) and transformation (Pluto) of that marriage that started the demise and ultimate ending thereof....

Further research on solar arcs try these threads.

Rectification of birth time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYMX9X2C1BQ&NR=1
· Transiting Pluto square, conj opp Asc, Desc, MC, IC
· If under 12’ when it conj an Angle then their age was under age 12 it’s parents adjustments. A death, change within father’s work, a separation, remarriage.
· Adults or teens, 1st job, identity transformation MC.
· Pluto conj Desc = death, health concerns, geographic, significant relationship or break up, but has to be ‘life transforming’
· Also try transiting Neptune, something dissolving, disappearing, confusing etc.
· Timings of transits… is it the 1st hit? More often it’s the middle retrograde hit… but could be the last direct hit also. 1’ =4minutes in time.
