| Medical Astrology Astrological diagnoses and other health issues are discussed here. Given that there are so many outer and inner influences on one's health (alimentation, sports, medication, past medical antecedents, state of mind, etc.), an astrological diagnosis is only one of many things to consider when determining your healthiness. |

Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
I've been having stomach problems for about the last 3 weeks. I'm fine most of the time, except after I eat in the late afternoon or early evening - and even that is not ALL the time. But most of the time, 15-45 minutes after I eat, I start feeling like I could throw up. However, drinking ginger ale will always alleviate it. So, I'm not really hear to discuss how to fix it, because that seems to work. Ginger candy is good, too. There's been no change in diet.
I would normally not have thought to make a thread about this subject, except for this: It has happened several times before. I'll get really sick with some kind of stomach problem involving being nauseated - and it lasts for several weeks. Then it mysteriously goes away.
Two of the other times I can definitely pin a date on were:
November 1986
Summer 2001
Does anybody have a clue as to whether any transits can cause stomach upset, and if so, what they could be?

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
i tried to view ur chart but i cant read western
and planets table is too small font to read
can u PM me birth details. ur chart must be interesting to read in vedic
usually 6th house from ASC and virgo signs are responsible for stomach area and Rahu(north node of moon) causes pain wherever it is or views
other planets aspects and transitions need to be seen

Thank you so much, Virinchi!
Yes, I will pm you birth details. Why do you think my chart would be interesting to read in Vedic?
I knew 6th house was involved, but was leaning more towards Cancer placements, due to stomach - but yes, Virgo seems to be the indicator.
I had no idea that the North Node could be involved in cases like this!

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
as i guessed it right u have rahu in 6th house at birth and it views virgo sign.
and right now its transiting through moon sign and mars in 6th house from moon sign viewing virgo sign again
north node(rahu ) causes pain wherever its placed and whichever sign it views
south node(ketu) causes viral attacks which are seen unexpectedly and it cant be properly diagnosed or cured
saturn is involved either directly or indirectly in all dieases
sun only causes fever
so when such transits agree with birth chart placements, u get pain

Thank you so much, Virinchi! Can you tell me when this transiting aspect is due to be over - and how long it has been in effect? That might tell me quite alot about the recent bout of symptoms? Also, can other random body malfunctions in general be attributed to this? or only stomach pain?

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
its mostly stomach pain
rahu will leave that sign in november and mars will move out by end of september
so u can expect some relief soon
but since rahu is placed in 6th house during birth, this will keep coming

Thanks, Virinchi! That is good news! And when did this period begin?

Yep- Bingo! Nearest I could figure it had been 3 weeks, give or take a few days. That's amazing that Vedic astrology can nail it so accrately!

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
in vedic method, we calculate dasha system to see what planet's major period operates, and under which what planet's sub period, next level is sub-sub period and so on
also transits are taken into consideration(its similar to progressions in western, but somewhat different in interpretation and calculation)
i mix all methods to get pinpoint dates

Well, I'm impressed with it. Sandeep told me a little of how it works, but it's been a couple of years ago, and I didn't really catch on - was still trying to fully "get" Western Astrology. I would like to study Vedic at some point - but that will be much further down the road.

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
freedomlover-
I was looking for a thread on this topic and found yours. I hope your pains have gone away, mine started about 2 weeks ago and I'm thinking of seeing a doctor. Antacids seem to temporarily relieve some of the pain... I think it can be an ulcer.
Either way... in your case you were able to pinpoint it on vedic factors... I never thought of looking at this because I know next to nothing about this system...
Because I did not want to make a new thread, I will share here...I think my stomach problems are related to my cancer ascendant and I have uranus in my 6th house opposing... My stomach issues do appear out of the blue (in other words, it's not what I'm eating that is causing them). Also, Pluto is transiting my 6th house and is conjunct my natal Neptune which is also in the 6th. I do not see a connection with Neptune as I do not think this plant plays a role in stomach upsets.
did you have any planets transiting your ascendant or 6th house when you experienced this issue???
Btw, I will try the gingerale and see if it works on me! Thanks for the tip!

Re: Stomach Problems Due to Transits?
I agree, can u do a chart without all the asteroids and fixed stars and in a bigger font, the grid is impossible to read. Just a natal with the transits and progressions.
Thanks
