Aspects in chart for interest in astrology

Hi just wondering what aspects people would have for an interest in astrology.I have uranus in the 3rd house in scorpio,mercury trine uranus,moon trine uranus.

I also read that saturn at 10 degrees of virgo shows up in a lot of astrologers charts i have this also.

Are there any other aspects or placements that would also show an interest in the study of astrology.

Would be very interested to learn if we all have some of these aspects.

Mercury is the traditional ruler of astrology, though Uranus could have some significance as it rules unusual and "weird" things, which astrology is considered to be nowadays. You could always look at the charts of famous astrologers and see if there are any common traits, I guess that water signs or houses (4th, 8th, 12th) are quite common, while earth signs (rational, practical) less common. I have lots of Virgo on my chart though, but then again it took a long time before I got into astrology. Also 3rd house (communicating) is quite obvious.

We have some common aspects. I have Uranus in Sagittarius in 4th house trine Moon and sextile Mercury. And a few more aspects which I don't consider to be so important in this case. Mercury is in Libra in 3rd house (or 2nd house according to some other house systems), it is also the ruler of my chart, and well aspected in general. I also have Pluto in Scorpio in 3rd house (conjunct South node, opposite Lilith) which might have some influence.

Yes we do have a couple of aspects in common, i looked through some of my astrology books and for astrologers you may find planets at either 10 degrees of virgo/pisces or at 27 leo/aquarious.

I also looked at a couple of astrologers charts the first chart had -
Sun in 8th house
uranus in 3rd house
mars in scorpio 9th house
jupiter in 8th house
N.Node aquarious

aspects
sun conjunct neptune
moon sextile uranus
mercury trine uranus
mc scorpio

from some of the ideas you gave me i came up with quite a few aspects that were in the charts of these proffessional astrologers that indicate this interest in astrology.

The second chart had

sun in 8th house
pluto in 8th house
uranus in 8th house

aspects

jupiter conjunct mercury in 9th house trining uranus in the 5th
and a planet at 26 leo

there are a lot of aspects and placements that i can find that would mean an interest in astrology, i think you need at least three or more of these aspects to indicate a person would be interested in studies of occult.

A professional astrologer would have these planets and aspects connected to the 10th house in some way.

Hi milkywaygirl i think we share the same birthday 27/02/79

I got the information from the book Parkers Astrology it says that british astrologer, Charles E Carter,who worked with thousands of charts, studied specific influences in the charts of successful astrologers.He found that not only were certain signs prominent in their charts,but many cases specific degrees were emphasized by either an angle or personal planet.These are 10 degees virgo/pisces and 27 degrees leo/aquarius. The results and many others are explained in his book The Encyclopaeia of Psychological Astrology.

Uranus rules astrology not mercury

I have merc conj uranus, uranus conj sun, uranus trine mars, uranus square saturn

Merc/sun/uranus are in 3rd house.. that fits with me and astrology

i got into astrology when pluto was in 3rd house
