Hi everyone. This is my first horary regarding a health matter, and I didn't see any other horary threads regarding alcoholism, so I am totally winging it here.
This question is about the guy I have been seeing off and on. He said something recently that made me start to worry about whether or not he is an alcoholic. He commented that he needed to stop drinking so much, and at first I thought he was joking because he said it in a passing manner, but then I started to worry later. I already sense that there is an issue going on with him that he is not ready to share with me at this time and, well, he is a Pisces.
So I used him as H7, because that is the manner in which I am interested in him.
He is Mercury, and Mercury is in its own rulership. It is in his turned H12 though, and my understanding is that is not a good place to be. Does it mean that he is withdrawn into himself at this time and trying to work through deeper issues?
I am Jupiter making no aspect to him, so that means that there isn't anything I can do to help him with whatever he is going through.
There are no other applying aspects to Mercury so can I interpret this to mean that no one but himself can get him through what he is experiencing right now?
Mars rules his 6th house. Mars isn't happy in Taurus, so he isn't feeling well right now. It is about to be conjuncted by Venus, ruler of his 5th. Does this mean that friends and lighthearted relationships can help or that he needs to be around these kind of relationships right now? I thought that because it is happening in his 11th. Venus also rules his 12th house of solitude, so maybe that means healing will come through deeper meditation (something he does daily anyway).
Both Venus and Mars are about to trine Saturn, the ruler of his 8th house of death, transformation and his 9th house of travel and religion. Is this a good sign that he will have a positive resolution to what is bothering him, and the healing can come through postive relationships, spirituality, and some kind of journey (he IS planning to go on a camping trip soon)?
Finally, the Moon will sextile the Sun before it changes sign, and the Sun is also applying a trine to me. The Sun rules his 3rd. Does this mean he will talk to me about it?
That is my amateur analysis-- that it is a deep issue that has him preoccupied, and if he is drinking more it is because he is bothered by the issue, but not necessarily because he is an alcoholic. I
think the outcome to what is bothering him will also come out okay for him. Did I do this right?
ALTERNATIVELY: I do realize that the 12th house also rules alcohol. His significator (merc) is in the 12th, and his 12th house (Venus) ruler is about to conjunct the ruler of his 6th (mars). But with the trine to Saturn, the ruler of his 8th about to be trined by Venus/Mars I just wasn't sure what to do with this interpretation. Could this mean that if there is a problem with alcohol he will soon overcome it?
Which reading is correct? I am so new to this!
