will my move to julies apartment work out well for me?

hey all, if anyone can offer any feedback on this horary i would appreciate it. a little background: i moved out of my place may 1 into an apt owned by a friend above a bar. i was prepared for noise but not the excessive waves of sub-bass that roll up my walls every night and cause everything in my apt to vibrate, making simple things like reading, studying and sleeping virtually impossible. on top of that i've discovered leaks in the ceiling and problems with the water. my relationship with my friend/landlord has become acrimonious over this as he misrepresented the apt to me and is doing nothing to rectify the sub-bass or leaks, so i have to move again june 1.

a little synchronicity saved the day however in the form of another friend who is moving out of her place june 1 who lives just down the street. i'm now in the process of applying to move to hers (not above a bar!!).

so given my experiences in the past 10 days, i'm kind of aprehensive about this move!! i'm in school so moving is a big nuisance and cost that has been hard to balance with school. im' hoping that this next move will be the last one for a while and that i will be happy and in peace there.

my horary questions is : will my move to julies apt work out well for me?

my big concerns are : ease of living in the new space, ability to study properly in this environment, and ability to do my work (i am in massage therapy school and need a place where i can work out of my apt as well as work on my music).

asc is at 12 leo so judgeable, ruled by sun in the 10th in taurus, disposited by venus in 8th in aries. sun is square jup/nep/chir conj in 7th, not sure what to make of this? sun trine saturn in 2nd, this move will bring me a sense of stability and improved self worth?

moon which also represents me is in 4th in sag, so seems very promising, and is involved in fire grand trine with venus in 8th and sn in 12th. trine venus makes me think that i will enjoy and be pleased by my new place, but 8th house placement of venus i'm unsure about? perhaps this new place will bring a lot of intense experiences for me in regards to my deep relationships with others? my dad is helping me out with my rent at this time, perhaps this is reflected in placement (8th - shared values)? venus in conj to mars in 9th in aries makes me think that studying will be good in this new environment and i will have a lot of energy and urge to do so. venus square pluto in 5th (which is conj vertex), this makes me think of the music that i have been working on, and that i may have transformative experiences through the act of creation in this new space.

the move itself is described in 3rd house with libra on the cusp, ruled again by venus in aries in 8th. seems possibly intense and involving the help of those very close to me..?

4th house has scorp on the cusp, ruled by mars in 9th in aries which trines ascendant, once again promising? the link between 4th and 9th sounds like it may bode well for my current studies. i will be able to study and learn properly in this new environment? coruler pluto in 5th, trining mc, perhaps this move will be beneficial to my public self and work.

with mars in 9th in aries as final dispositor of ic, sun and venus, makes me think that this will be a great place for my studies.

overall i think it seems quite promising and positive for me given my current situation, if anyone has any additional feedback please do let me know.

thanks all
MWG

Re: will my move to julies apartment work out well for me?

I am wondering why you chose the Equal House system for a horary chart? I really have found no redeeming value at all in the Equal House system for horary, as Regiomontanus houses have worked for centuries, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Regiomontanus cusps are very accurate.

Cheers,
AG

i dont do horary very much at all, and have always used equal in all charts as it makes sense to me in terms of how i think of astrology. but thanks for the suggestion, i will re-run the chart in regiomontanus and see what i get.

in regiomontanus, venus moves to 9th from 8th (yes!) and 3rd cusp goes from libra to virgo (with ruler merc opposing moon), and 4th goes to libra from scorp, all other planetary placements staying the same. looks better than the original

Re: will my move to julies apartment work out well for me?

Hi Milkyway! I would say that any place compared to the apt.above the bar would be more fortunate, even if it is still not totally OK and eventually you should have to move again. If you cant sleep anymore, I would not think twice personally.

Looking at the chart, OK, Equal houses but I keep in mind that it will change Venusses place to the 9th when we use Regiomontanus.
Venus however is peregrine in Aries and thus weak. Lets first look at the place. I take the 11th house, your girlfriend and the 4th of that, so her place becomes your 2nd with Saturn retro in it. Mmmm.... old building? Walls are also not really very well constructed and deteriorating (retro), but it could be spacious because Saturn is in term of Jupiter. You must know the place I guess. Why is she leaving I wonder?

Mercury rules her place and is mutually applying to the Sun. They will meet at 27° on the 18th of May (Ephemeries). This looks like a yes to me. In June Mercury will be back in Gemini and sextile your Ascendant. Again quite positive. End of the matter ruled by a very strong Mars so I think that you will be OK in her place. Saturn in term of Jupiter (ruler of the 5th of creativity) looks good for musical exercises.

The Angles are all fixed which often also shows a yes. All Moons last aspects are very favorable, sextile to Jupiter, trines to Venus and Mars and MC. Personally I think you will be fine.

Cheers, Starlink
Saturn retro in Virgo signifies the next place. In term of Jupiter could mean that it is a place with lots of space which Sun in term of Jupiter will like.

starlink, thanks for your interp. its always great to see how other people do their analysis in order to learn more so thank you for that, i am examining and contemplating as we speak

my friends place is in a relatively new building which is in good condition and well maintained and managed. she has been there for 3 years but just bought a loft so is moving out for that reason.

i feel so relieved to have an end in sight!! uranus is conj my ic and has been hovering around my 4th/ic/moon since late 2006, and i have moved COUNTLESS times in the past couple years! I am hoping that this one will be the last one for a while!!

Re: will my move to julies apartment work out well for me?

Oh thanks Milkyway for replying. So that Saturn retro does not mean weak walls. Maybe the Virgo sign makes the difference then as usually, Saturn shows something old. Interesting. Maybe I should only have looked at Mercury, yes, of course. Mercury is in Gemini and in the 10th place, acc. dignified. That describes the place better. Wonder what that Saturn re is doing there then. Maybe AG can show us this. She might look at this from an entirely different point of (horary) view.

Yes, transiting Uranus conjunct IC in the natal chart is very restless indeed. I am not surprised! Well, good luck to you!

Cheers, Starlink

Re: will my move to julies apartment work out well for me?

starlink heres an update, i'm still in the same apartment and quite happily so. you were onto something with the walls - after being in here a few weeks i realized how dingy they were (as well as some damage in the ceiling in the bathroom), and ended up spending a good chunk of money having the whole place repainted!!

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know Milkywaygirl. That is good to know. Not nice for you though, but good for horary. Darn Saturn retrograde hey?!
Hope for the rest the place is to your satisfaction.

Cheers, Starlink
