Balancing different aspects in the chart

Okay guys, I think I am finally getting a hold of how these question/discussions in these forums work.

By the way, thank you Astrologer50, I guess my other posts looked like I was just trying to juice out information from this place but I actually had researched all the major astrology sites with different aspects and topics in such. (I just wanted to test the waters and see if I would get any responses other than the clear cut defintions on the web, which I did. There are some pretty skilled self taught astrologers lurking around this forum!!!)Thank you, I have appreciated your guidance.

Now to the topic...

I was wondering how different aspects in the chart create a balance even if they are metaphorically on two sides of the coin.
For example, in my chart I have, Sun trine neptune giving me strong empathetic qualities, however, I also have neptune square venus which initially gives me confusion on how to handle the empathy. Then, I have mercury trine neptune which exhibits more empathetic awareness.

I also have saturn square ascendant, saturn opposition midheaven and saturn trine sun.
I understand both my saturn square ascendant and saturn opposition aspects give me troubles in relating with people and even working, while at the same time, my Saturn trine sun shows potential for discipline and hardwork.

On another note--If empathy is the ability to connect with anothers soul on an intuitive level and feel what they are feeling and relate to them with the emotions that you are sharing with them, how is it possible for that empathy to be balanced when their are hard aspects in the chart with saturn at the same time.(difficulty relating to people)

I have heard somewhere that hard aspects are initially felt while they soften with age, maturity and growth of wisdom.

What I am saying is, with aspect balances in the chart, how do you form a general conclusion while combining the likes of both sides of the soft and hard aspects. (I guess my black and white scale attitude is showing with my taurus sun opposition scopio moon) Is it just a matter of weighing the soft aspets with the hard aspects?

Concluding my speel,
Does anyone else have aspects which counter each other like the example I gave in my chart?
If so how does it intially affect you and what balance does it bring, if any?
Just include you birth chart and the countering/balancing aspects.

P.S. I am still getting the hang of the terminology in astrology. If I had any confusing statements that were not understood, please show me how I can correctly word them. Thanks.

Re: Balancing different aspects in the chart

To me astrology is a form of psychology, and a way to understand ourselves and others more clearly. There is a branch of psychological astrology also....

Now, please accept that we are all multi-faceted beings and what astrology does is to 'break down and compartmentalise' facets of your personality... So you will have never looked at yourself with such analysis beforehand..

Saturn conj IC (home roots) suggests a parent being rather strict, regimented, cool, aloof, distant. Here's the text book quote:-

Saturn‑MC Square Saturn‑MC Opposition
In the tense aspects between Saturn and the Midheaven inferiority feelings are great. We are so sensitive to the outside world, especially in our social contacts, that we are inclined either to hide behind a cold, impassive mask, or else to tax our energies to further ambitions. As a rule, we rush at things like a bull at a gate and need not be surprised when people strengthen their fences (so to speak) to try and stop us.

Since Saturn represents learning through suffering, we generally maneuver ourselves into difficult situations where, for example, what seems child`s play to others is drudgery to us, or where just when we are expecting promotions, our company closes down; similar examples could easily be multiplied. Such experiences can certainly discourage us to the point of pessimism. Nevertheless in the tense aspects, we are just as likely to greet reverses with a grim determination that finally saves the day against all odds. Therefore these aspects are not, as the old books would have us believe, indicators of nothing but hopeless failure and misery. They do demand a great deal, however, and give us a thorough testing before we reach our goal. It is good if we hurry and scurry less and are less fretful, since that is counterproductive. To be calm and collected (which, believe it or not, is perfectly possible with these aspects) can be very helpful.

***
And that's where you suffered, in home roots with family member, cos it's all learnt behaviour. Moon =mother, saturn=father and natal aspects represents how you related to them and vice versa. Also sun opposite moon suggests your parents were opposites, but may have (at the same time) complimented each other and again this has been passed down to yourself. Now you sun trine saturn suggests an easy empathy with dad. Now cancer/moon MC placed in 1st house albeit wide orb conj pluto, I still feel relevent, suggests a mom who is restless, controlling, stubborn obsessive Plutonian but would fight to the death for family (cancer) prob very good with money (all Cancer/Cappi same here) prob cos they had to.

Actually your Saturn is practicually unaspected with only trine to sun in7th house of scorpio (almost singleton)

you said,
"What I am saying is, with aspect balances in the chart, how do you form a general conclusion while combining the likes of both sides of the soft and hard aspects. (I guess my black and white scale attitude is showing with my taurus sun opposition scopio moon) Is it just a matter of weighing the soft aspets with the hard aspects?"

Now Libra on Asc can be exceptionally charming., sociable people always wanting to focus on balance and harmony, even if they want to say something nasty, they can 'usually' wrap it up in words to cause the least amount of offence.

Remember whever Saturn is placed is where we 'lack confidence' and try to put in extra effort to compensate, yours is 4th house so prob where you feel the square active is within home roots.

When looking at 'challenging' aspects, we don't always give out just that aspect when behaving nicely we are all a mixture of all our aspects as any given time. It's really only with self analysis will you see and identify with circumstances where your oppositions and square operate. No-one knows 'your chart' better than you. So where do you feel the square and oppositions play out? Oppositions are usually 'other people' and I expect those to play out in your one to one relationships 1st/7th

This is the beauty of astrology, depends on what transits, progressions etc are operating at any given time, will depend on how you react to conditions you find yourself in. Whether it triggers a T Square, opposition or qunincunx in your natal chart. We are all here to experience 'growth' and to acheive this we have to challenge ourselves and our relationships with others.

Hope this helps..

I think looking at chart and aspect patterns can help a lot in seeing how things fit together in the chart. Here is a basic overview on things to look for when looking at how it all fits together:
