few questions about progression and Moon hiting the angles

ok, I have started reading and learning about progressions and solar arcs, and still have some unclear issues on this

1st - on astro.com, there is an option from choosing between progressed and progressed and natal combined. so, when looking only at progressed chart without natal positions, should aspects between progressed planets be accounted.
say progressed Mars aspects progressed Venus - from what I understood they are not important, but perhaps I got it wrong.
Cause looking at the past events and coresponding charts I saw things happening with progressed planets making aspects, with no connection to natals

2nd - then, there are progressed angles, how about progressed planets hitting those - important to look at or not?

3rd - progressions vs. solar arcs, there's been threads on this, I know, but I was wondering what does everyone find more accurate in predicting events?

4th, my personal question, recently my progressed Moon hit my natal DSC and trined natal Venus, but at the same time it squares progressed Venus, and squares both natal&progressed(obviously) Saturn and Pluto

for example, my mom got married on the exact date progressed Moon entered 7th house, and we share the same asc-dsc cancer-capricorn axis, and I have had nothing significant happen so far with all this activity of progressed Moon, hmmm I thought it would be something big, but no...

in a few months same progressed Moon with trine natal Sun but will square progressed Sun - when you get both positive and negative aspects while looking at progressions what do you consider more significant?

one more question - progressed Mars square to natal Venus - what could it mean?
is it true only hard aspects - squares and opposition, along with conjunctions are felt?

You have to look at all the charts/transits to understand what is going on. I think SA directions are usually active when something big comes up and be sure to look at the midpoints because they are very telling too. The same theme will be emphasized numerous times. You also have to look at the houses effected. Hard transits aren't necessarily bad and good transits aren't always good, but they aid each other in some way. For example, you may have a sextile to the 3rd and square to the 4th, which might mean you are having problems with your family(4th), but as a result you make a move (3rd)where you can start a new life and focus on your needs. I have also read that sometimes they can balance each other out. When I had to make the decision to put my dog of 17 yrs. down I had my progressed moon in Cancer/12th trine Jupiter in the 8th, not to mention sun conjunct Jupiter in the 9th.. so some nice aspects going on but look at the houses involved. I did have some hard aspects too- SA Venus sq. moon and a few others, but you would think nice aspects with Jupiter would be good. Not always good in the way we want it to be. The gift I received from the universe at that time was to have the opportunity to tell my dog how much I loved her and to allow me the opportunity to make things right and not let her suffer anymore, so I made the hard decision to put her to sleep, but it was a very spiritual moment for me(9th). I was able to get past my selfish needs to help another creature and from that I learned to be selfless. It was not a happy time for me, but i feel I learned what the universe wanted me to learn and I am a better person for it. What we want and what the universe wants from us are two completely different things. It's not about superficial needs and desires, it's about our spiritual evolution.

my personal question, recently my progressed Moon hit my natal DSC and trined natal Venus, but at the same time it squares progressed Venus, and squares both natal&progressed(obviously) Saturn and Pluto

The trine to natal Venus could be the establishing factor relating to love and money, the squares could indicate some struggles relating to this. Since there are more squares there may be other factors to consider that might add some burdens. Again, you have to consider everything going on in the charts/transits. Is there any SA activity involving Venus? What do your transits look like? This is all I can tell you from my own experience, which has been the best tool so far.
