Thanks for the contribution, Lillybelle. I agree, it has a lot of Venus in Aries energy to it. The lead singer of The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde, strikes me as an Arian Venus type person,as well.

(Nope. I checked. Virgo Sun and Venus. Mars in Leo. Only Jupiter in Aries. Maybe she has an Aries ASC? Or maybe it's the Leo being Aries -like. She does "want some of your attention" in the song. Attention is a Leo thing. OH well - it still fits.)

This is a very Venus retrograde in its sign of detriment, Aries, kind of song.

Excellent query, MoonShadow! I thought about it awhile, and realized that one of my all-time favorite songs and videos fit this very well. It's a song called "What I Meant to Say" by Wade Hayes. It's about 15 years old now, and the video technology may be a little dated by today's standards, but it still has the same effect on me to this day. I can never watch this video and listen to this song without getting extremely emotional. It's a song about forgiveness and speaking compassionately, so how Venus (r) in Pisces can you get? The video itself is a perfect example of Venus retrograde at work. (The song exemplifies Mercury retrograde, as well.)

I'm glad you like it, Lillybelle. I remember listening to Dolly Parton ( who wrote it) sing it on my mother's record player when I was quite small. I always loved that song. It was amazing, when I went to look for a video, how many different versions of it have been recorded. The White Stripes ( Jack White) did an unusual version of it. I thought Sherrie Austin's was the best though, even outdoing Dolly, in my opinion. (Don't think Dolly has a video for it, anyway.)

Great song picks! 'And So It Goes" by Billy Joel is one of my favorites. I remember it stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it.

I'd never heard "The Scientist" before, but it was a cool song.
