Return charts - look for actual transits to return planets?

Hi

When looking at any return chart, should I look to the actual transits to the return chart planets to look for events?

I looked back to a Venus return for 2008. I had a short relationship start when transiting Moon conjunct VR Sun, and then conjuncted VR Uranus which was exactly conjunct the descendant. I was just wondering if its coincidence that that relationship started when those aspects were happening.

With a solar chart watch the suns transits particularly the angles of the solar 1 and 10 have more energy than 4 and 7. Lunars watch the moon and venus watch venus etc. Conjuncts to angles and to activated aspects in the chart.

Great! I have a Venus return chart from Dec 2008, and right now transiting Venus is going back and forth across the MC! I was offered a job recently, its not the best and I've been registering with a few agencies today with the hope of finding a better paid or more local job! It'll be so interesing to see what this retro then direct again Venus brings! I'll report back!

Ah ha! So watching the Sun in the Solar return for 2009, I had transiting Sun conjunct SR Venus today.. Venus rules the chart and is intercepted in the 6th house. Aaaah maybe one of these agencies will bring me a better job for my life direction, or my path this year!! Plus I regained a friend from long ago today

So would I link it into the natal too? For example, in my natal chart, Venus rules my 10th and 5th/6th houses, and in the Solar Return it rules the Ascendant. The Sun transiting over the SR Venus would affect my natal 10th ect houses, and the life path/ascendant for this year?
