Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
Hi I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with a natal Venus opposition Pluto aspect. I have this one in my chart where Pluto is 2 degree conjunct the Imum Coeli. It seems like a mystery, and many of my relationships with guys have been painful and one or the other of us has been in some kind of depressing situation. Now I've met a guy who has in his chart a Scorpio stellium and I'm curious if maybe this Venus opposite Pluto aspect is attracting me to guys with Scorpio in their chart. Is it common ???

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
What sign is Venus in?
I have Venus square pluto
You are supposed to be attracted to the sign your mar is in if female and a male is attracted to the sign his venus is in.
Venus and Pluto wreck your love life, yeah
I've read that these in bad aspect is often in the charts of prostitues if they go with Pluto strangely enough...it is supposed to give your love life a darker side, and Scorpio is all about the dark side.

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
I have Mars conj Venus in the 2nd opposition Pluto in the 8th, I do attract Plutonian types not necessarily Scorpios though; this opposition used to be etremely painful for me until I realized that I was not aware my own obssessive tendencies, now that i know it, it is easier for me to control it and keep manipulative people out of my life.

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
Hi I'm surprised at all the replies so soon Well, my n. Venus is in 29 degrees Aries and Pluto is 2 degrees Scorpio. Mars opposes Neptune so it seems that seems to further attract me to very interesting people.
I once dated a guy who eventually claimed he accidentally killed 2 families one being his own (he's has a Scorpio rising, with Neptune conj asc. would you believe it) but being me it didn't scare me at all so I just got to know him better. He helped me through a very traumatic time of my life. Like the Scorpionic flame it seems you must be careful around the people you love very much.
But getting lighter, Gogolesque, yeah it's not something I realised until lately how many Scorpio type people have come in to my life. I just have to wonder if keeping people away is the answer or the problem really.

I did not mean 'just people' but manipulative people and those who play with others' feelings.

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
Pluto is stronger in your chart than Venus being on a angle.
I don't really know what to do about my own aspect and Pluto is amazingly powerful or so astrologers say. I've settled down with a Taurus who is totally faithful and it has helped tremendously with this aspect.
I think this aspect can make you very jealous of your lovers.
Pluto wants to dominate others or be obsessed.

Gogolesue
Pluto in the 8th - Are you very very serious in your love life?
I have Moon in Cancer in 8th, they say this is a cadent house and therefore planets placed here are weak. My moon is the most powerful in my chart! Pluto is also supposed to make you strong in what is ruled by the house.
How does this placement effect you?

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
heh, yes, I am so serious in my love life and it actually makes me sick
this interp from DK foundation site describes my Pluto in the 8th pretty accurately:
When Pluto is in the 8th House the soul is engaged in the transformation of emotional energies, in ‘penetrating the darkness of himself to take out the light’ (Samael Aun Weor). This process in the intensity, which it is given by Pluto in H8, may go on for many lifetimes and requires those with this placement to face the Human Shadow manifesting both through self and other. Pluto in the 8th House tends to create a fascination for taboo subjects and psychotic people. The Plutonian himself may be the victim of compulsions and obsessions (his own or those of others) and intrusions from the lower astral. Nightmares and visitations are common with this placement. The astral plane may be used purposefully as a source of power, in which case the interest will be in witchcraft and magic, which may include the Black Arts. In personal relationships a person with Pluto in the 8th House transforms the lives of his partners but in circumstances usually viewed as destructive by all concerned. Violence, whether physical, emotional or sexual, is common when Pluto is in H8, including within the relationship with one or both parents.

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
Wow, I was thinking the 8th ruled by Scorpio with Pluto would be so amazing. The 8th rules psychic power, esp and such. After looking at a lot of charts it seems to me that we are helpless to change things when it comes to Pluto. I had an abusive father represented by Mars in 4th. My husband has Pluto in the 4th and his father was much more evil.
It helps to remember that all planets have a good side and so does Pluto. When describing Scorpio (this sign rules the eighth) people tend to emphsize the negative I've noticed and also Plutos dark side. You must be a very intense person with this placement who doesn't play around and means exactly what he says. Other people often are not. This makes you different but this is not all bad! You say the description you gave fits you yourself and as one who has been knocked around I think I understand. My moon in 8th - I know how a room of people is responding to me when I talk I can feel it! People cannot fool me and I easily see through them. Somehow though it doesn't seem helpful -quite the opposite! I would rather think that people mean what they say and are well meaning but instead I have to percieve the truth and the truth is harsh! I think you are the same way.

Yes, that is quite right. Pluto can possess the native, if s/he is not able to play this energy out in a more constructive way, as Pluto enery is strong, even stronger if in close (max upto 5°) aspects to personal planets.
I have a strong Pluto, in a square (1°15) to Moon, and am often confronted with jealous women. I can imagine that Pluto-Venus aspects could also manifest themselves in somewhat similar ways....you could be a jealous lover yourself or be confronted with one. I am only now learning to deal with this. I also had some power issues with my mum when I was a child/teenager, but that was more because I was a fair bit rebellious (Aqua after all ), and gave her a hard time.
One more thing, Pluto is all about transformation and delving into the darkest corners of yourself in order to rediscover and renew yourself. So, if one is quite Plutonic/Scopiornic oneself, s/he may unknowingly attract people with Plu/Sco traits in order to undergo a transformational process within and of oneself, as these Plutonic people will touch one's own Plutonic nerve in a way and 'force' you to understand and deal with such energies.

Re: Experiences with Venus opposite Pluto
Exactly. You have no choice with Pluto you have to let this energy go somewhere. Pluto makes sex an intense possessing thing-Pluto is messing with my Venus but I can't help myself. Women are jealous of me but I haven't thought about it that way, when I got promoted at work it was the women who objected and said I didn't deserve it. I was on friendly terms with everyone before my promotion! Two girls demanded that they be given a trial run because they could do the job better and management let them! It was not much of a promotion at all, you just assist the supervisor and there was no extra money! They had a hissy fit! I quit the job and after a year their animosity seems all forgotten and we are all friendly again.
