Rectification for someone born in a country up north

Hello peeps,

A friend asked me if I could find her ascendant, she believes she was born sometime between midnight and 5:00 am. She could be a sagit, capricorn or aqua ascendant.

I pulled a chart with some time between the two times she gave me, so I chose 3:00 am, just to get started... I was about to ask for info to try and rectify her chart (birthdays of her children, marriage, parents' death, etc), but she was born in Oslo, and her chart looks too skewed.

Her first house contains two signs intercepted, and takes one fourth of the entire chart. Same thing with the 7th house. All the other ten houses are squeezed in two fourths of the chart, so, the events she gave me are not touching angles....

I can only identify one lead: she met her husband when Saturn was in Cancer 24 degrees, which may hint to a Capricorn ascendant, but that's about it. Nothing else came out of the info she gave me, so I'm kinda going nuts with this...

Which kind of house system I should use? Which kind of house system you guys use for people who were born up north, and how accurate is that? I am a fan of placidus, never had the need to look for other systems before this case.

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Re: Rectification for someone born in a country up north

I'm gonna rectify my own post here.

I checked the info she gave me, and one of her three children has a 25 degrees cancer rising sign. Another child has 26 cancer in Midheaven. She met her husband when saturn was in 24 cancer degrees, and Sun and Mars were in 24 degrees virgo, Jupiter 28 degrees virgo...

Her mother died when venus was in 27 degrees capricorn.

I am inclined for a late capricorn ascendant, somewhere between 24-28 degrees.

She said it is possible that she was born between 3:00 am and 5:00. Her mother says it couldn't be too early in the morning, so, nowhere before 3:00 am, but not after 5:00 am either. She says she believes she was born at 4:00 am, but the indicators I got from the events she gave me point to a late capricorn rising, which would be something like 3:45 am.

I'm not sure if this info is enough. I asked for more info, like travels (Jupiter would be in the 9th house, close to midheaven in sagittarius for this 27 capricorn ascendant), universities, possible hospitalizations (she would have Mars in 12th house, capricorn).

Maybe the ultra skewed chart works after all.

I'd be careful about associating everything with the ascendant. I think her children's births are the best piece of evidence you have to work with, especially if since there are three of them. Check those dates out with her fifth house, or you could try going back nine months for each one and see if conception checks out. I'd be careful of that technique, though, as you know how variable pregnancies can be.

Yes, midori, thank for your feedback, I understand where you're coming from.

I kind of concentrated on the ascendant because that's what she asked me, and the chart drawing was a bit odd for me in the beginning, but I'm getting used to it. After I gave it some thought, I decided that I shouldn't rule out a Placidus chart (which always worked so perfectly for me) just because it doesnt please my eyes... I decided to try and see if the events fit with the odd chart, and afterwards I would decide if the chart makes sense or not.

In the end, it does.

With an ascendant between 24-28 degrees capricorn, her 1st son was born when Mars was in her 5th house, conjunct cusp.

The second son has no placement in her 5th house if I follow this ascendant, but he falls with Mars and venus in the opposite house, 11th. I find their positions a bit late, none of them are close to the cusp, tho. But he's got midheaven and Neptune respectively in 26 and 27 degrees cancer.

Third son falls with (guess what!) Mars and Venus in her 5th. Venus is close to the cusp, Mars is close to the cusp of the 6th house, but within the 5th.
