Re: choosing a career
Dracula, can you say something about your education and work experience to date? That might be more productive than asking for a "blind" chart reading.
Also, astrologers get a little suspicious of round numbers in birth times. Do you know if 2:00 is your accurate birth time, or is it an estimate? It would make a difference in the location of your career house cusp.
But assuming it is correct, I wonder, have you thought of something like being a customs official? This may sound odd to you, if not, but you have your sun, Mercury, and Saturn in the 9th house of overseas travel. Your sun is in analytical Virgo. That Pluto/Saturn conjunction on your MC suggests not only an interest in administration, but some fascination with the dark side of human nature, as well. The ruler of your MC (and Libra is very concerned with fairness) is in the 8th house of "shared resources" sextiling Jupiter in your 10th career house. Jupiter is a good luck factor, and also deals with overseas travel.
If not customs, think about something like international trade, or being a customs broker. With all of your planets "above the horizon" you need to be out and doing something with real-word involvement.

You need to read other very similar threads or use the search feature, as this has been covered time and time again.
Look at MC, 2nd house (how you earn your money) 6th house type of work you do and 10th house cusp in Equal house and MC together, then synthesise.

Re: What is my career?
Interesting equation Astro50, and the lords should be especially included, as they modify the meaning considerably.
For an example Dracula I'll show you how this manifests for me, my midheaven is in Leo (interest in performing arts, entertainment). The sun, ruler of Leo is in Libra, again indicating some career related somehow to other people, and artistic endeavors. Second house in Sagittarius -- could make money through things like astrology for example, or big enterprises, Jupiter is in Aries, another creative sign. Again an emphasis on 'creativity'.
The sixth cusp is Aries, wherein Jupiter lies.. again 'creativity'; being creative and artistic would most likely be in my career. Vague? It should be. You would know best how 'creativity' manifested, whether being an inventor for example, an art teacher, or a painter, sculptor or tattoo artist.

A50, I think the challenge is that each chart is different. Each house has multiple meanings. And if the chart-reader doesn't grasp the basic sun-moon-ascendant trio about who a person needs to be for himself, then it will be hard to identify a career that he will find satisfying. He might be good at it, but it won't "sing" for him.
I agree with Ray that one really needs to look at the "lords" of the house cusps. I use so-called "accidental" house cusp rulers (the modern ruler of the sign on the cusp) whereas some astrologers look at the "natural" house cusp ruler (the planet whose sign corresponds to the house in question. I. e., Mars is the ruler of Aries, the "natural" ruler of the first house.) Some look at both, and how they interact in a chart. One can especially tell a lot by finding the house where the cusp ruler is located, and how it is aspected.
Dracula, since you are working on a MBA, how do you feel about international trade? Or working for a customs brokerage firm?

Re: What is my career?
One comment: "birth time is b/w 2-3 pm" is just not good enough. It indicates that there is no time from a birth certificate, and if it based on the memory of someone else, it could be very, very wrong.

My suggestions were for 'research' study and to look at 'Rulers' (not horary terms Lords) of 2nd, 6th & MC
I to look at rulers of house cusp and incorporate natural rulers. Astrology is complex and again without understanding the basics, no good just looking for quick fixes.....
So Dracula, Why don't you attempt to interpret and add your spin on interpretations?

Re: What is my career?
A50, we could devote quite a thread to the various uses and definitions of the terms "lords" and "rulers"! The word "lord" is traditional beyond horary astrology, though most modern astrologers seem to prefer the term "ruler."
Here is a definition of the term "lord" from James R. Lewis, The Astrology Book: The Encyclopedia of Heavenly Influences (2003, p. 416) which backs up the use of "lord" according to Ray's traditional usage, and for what I have called "accidental house cusp rulers", above:
"Lord is an older term for ruler, as in 'Mars is the lord (ruler) of Aries.'....Many astrologers want to retain this term but reserve its use for the ruler of the house. Thus, for example, in a horoscope in which Aries is on the cusp (beginning) of the third house, Mars would be the ruler of Aries and the lord of the third house. Most contemporary astrologers have dropped the term lord and use the term ruler for both relationships. One finds the same distinction between sign and house rulership/lordship in Vedic astrology, where this notion is central to the correct interpretation of a chart."
So to Dracula and others who are interested in learning about using astrology in career choices, many astrologers find that tracing the lord/accidental ruler of the 10th, 2nd, and 6th houses, according to its placement and aspects is really helpful. This is especially so if these houses are untenanted. Astrology great Noel Tyl recently published a book in which he called this practice his "midheaven extention method", but actually the technique is a lot older.
The "lord"/ruler of Dracula's 10th house cusp (MC) is in the 8th house of "shared resources." The 8th includes other things, including taxation and national finances in mundane astrology.
Uranus, ruler of Dracula's 2nd (money) house is located in the 11th house, which can signify finding money via friends, but more likely working for a large organization with many co-workers. The ruler of the 6th house of work and service [Mercury] is in Dracula's 9th house, which includes overseas travel and international trade. So is his sun [identity] and chart-ruler Saturn. Saturn conjunct the MC right away suggests some administrative interests. Dracula's moon in Leo needs to "shine" in some way. It is in the 7th, but close to the 8th house cusp, which gives it an 8th house influence.
So I could be way wrong on Dracula's career, but....hey, Drac: what do you think you'd like to do after you graduate?
BTW, gaer is right--any interpretation of house cusps depends on the birth time.

Right. My point was that at 3 PM the planets "move" a good deal. In this case, for instance, the cusp of the 10th house changes from Libra to Scorpio, and Neptune moves from the 12th house to the 11th, in at least some house systems.
If Dracula has no other source but the memory of someone, and hour "window" may be the best he can do, though we all know of instances when a birth time is later found out to be totally different from the recollection of someone who is "trusted". Which is why an accurate time is always such a huge problem.

That's great, just shows everyone's got good ideas, but also shows how important your time of birth really is...

Re: What is my career?
Thanks, Dracula! The "chart ruler" is the planet that rules your rising sign. With Capricorn rising, your chart ruler is Saturn. So he becomes an important character in your horoscope, amplified by his position conjunct your MC.
I don't see Saturn as a bad guy in your chart. A lot depends upon how Saturn is aspected. Your Saturn is well-aspected.
Saturn shows where we feel frustrated, limited, and inadequate. But it also shows where hard work, self-discipline, and resourcefulness will pay off--although generally later in life. Saturn on the MC can indicate administrative ability. If the sun is the "king", and the moon is the "queen", Saturn is the prime minister (or chief operations officer.)
Again, this reading depends upon your estimated birth time being pretty close to correct.

Re: What is my career?
Ali,
If your birthtime is "in the ballpark" as they say, of 2 p.m., then Pluto is on your midheaven. You shouldn't really be confused about your career. I understand the temptation of going into finance with the moon on your 8th cusp, and you might do that.... but I think you will eventually teach... or also teach, or lecture.
You need to know when you will be getting some additional inspiration, which will give you the answers you need.
First, transitting Jupiter will be trine your midheaven and your natal Pluto between April 24th and June 6th. That is a brief but powerful aspect, and you need to be conscious of any thoughts, inspiration or opportunities which come your way then.
Venus will be retrograde in Aries, opposing your Libra planets in March, and then will continue to oppose for most of April and May. Again, you will be considering alternatives in your career.
Saturn conjuncts your Sun at the end of August, and this won't happen again for about 29 years, so it's important. Only you will know in what way it will be important, but I'd say it will relate to your career issues.
Saturn sextiles your Mars-Uranus conjunction between mid September and November of this year.... and will continue to sextile for many months. At the end of the sextile, in Aug. 2010 you will have no doubt as to what you want to do in career in the foreseeable future. I say foreseeable because you have Mars and Uranus in the 11th house of goals, and you will be prone to changing your goals throughout your life. The change won't always be about career, but I don't think you will ever be "married" to one career. And for marital harmony, this is something a prospective wife should know before marrying you.
You will need to marry someone who is willing to make changes along with you and not fight change. I say this because it seems you are attracted to difficult women. Just so you know....

Well i do consider many careers, like a friend wanted me to invest some money and we can start our own call center, i also websurf about how to start a breeding house, and also download online lectures for finance,
moreover i have searched for an equipment "Speecheasy", it helps to reduce stuttering, i think i will buy it, cant do it now, because its not in our country,
but if it helps me then i will might go for teaching aswell.

Re: What is my career?
waybread,
I quite understand the terms 'Lords' do relate to Traditional astrology, but being a modern astrologer specialising in Equal house prefer to use the modern term of 'house cusp ruler'
Dracula,
Have you tried www.astro.com cos they have a 6month Free transit forecaster. Once you learn more of the basics, you have even plot your own transits with an 'ephemeris'.....
Plus try using the search feature on the site for similar questions, you will be surprised how many times people ask them.

Well, some people are "born old" and are extremely mature and serious for their age as children and young adults. You can decide if this description fits you!
The negative side of Saturn is that it can confer a difficult old-age of poverty and health problems. So I'd still go for the "later in life" rewards. Which isn't to say you can't live well sooner.
BTW, I don't know if you have tried speech therapy. (Mercury conjunct Saturn/Pluto)
